So is war and I don't see no on stoppin that, do you??
It has slowed down.

Tell that to the families of the soldiers in Iraq, tell that to the
families that live in Iraq and then tell me how much it really has slowed down.We only know what the media and government feeds us, you know you never get the full truth on war and the casualties and death counts. |

I feel for the families that lost warriors, but as I was a marine...I
was always prepared to do battle...anytime...anywhere and I must assume so were they. |

I guess there was nothing cruel and inhumane about the way Jeffrey
Dahmer killed and dismembered his victims. It makes me sick to hear some sick, sadistic fuck cry about being put to death cuz he'll feel pain. TOO FKIN BAD!!!! should'a thot of that before he decided to be an asshole. It's called CONSEQUENCES..you wanna play the game..don't bitch cuz you don't like the rules when you get caught. As for that loser in Washington state, they should put his sorry fat ass on a strict diet so when the time comes he don't gotta worry bout losing his head, just his useless life. |

I like that fucking movie Dead man walking. It shows our perverted
society that we glorify criminals. look at the music rap industry build on gang rappers who probably killed. So why not let all the sickos out. Just give every American a gun so we can shoot the mother fuckers. |

The Death Penalty... is no different then abortion...!
Wrong Ontario...in abortion yer mudering an innocent. The death penalty,
yer makin sure the fucker don't do it again. BIG difference. |
lol that's funny. i think that there are cruel and inhumane punishments
but they are called torture and they prolong the act of dyin. if you believe in an eye for an eye then there isn't a problem with the death penalty and the way that they carry out these sentences is not cruel and inhuman and it sure as hell ain't as cruel and inhumane as the way there victims were offed. death in itself is not cruel and they take necessary precautions to try and make it as short as possible. |

There are people that have received the death penalty that did,nt commit
the crime convicted of. |
yer absolutely right Ontario, it has happened. But there are
technologies in place that do help to greatly reduce the chances of that happening much anymore. Plus there could be additional guidelines set out before a death sentence can be handed down as a just in case measure, such as multiple credible eyewitnesses. I don't believe that "beyond reasonabe doubt" is a strict enough guideline for a death sentence. Should we get rid of the penal system altogether because there have been and still are innocent ppl serving harsh, long-term or life sentences? Just make sure the guidelines to hand down a death sentence are much stricter than they are to just be found guilty. |

.. in the old days, you were executed downtown in front of everyone.
Talk about a deterrant. In countries that still practice this the crime rate is very low. No one wants to go thru that. I have a friend in isreal and he says that he could leave 10,000 dollars on his porch and go on vacation and it would still be there when he got back. He is also issued a gas mask, a gun and a helmet AT THE AIRPORT when he arrives from the states. |

you're right ontario but there is an exception to every rule, there are
tons of people who are wrongly incarcerated too. you have to take it as a whole and see if it does more harm than good. i don't want to be executed or incarcerated wrongly but that should not stop someone who is truly guilty from paying for their crime. i have been accused of some rotten shit that i did not do and thankfully i did not go to jail for them. i will pay the price for any crime i commit and i expect someone else to do the same. death is a permanent thing and if you take someones life on purpose you should not be allowed to continue yours. |
i know what you are sayin rambill but the truth is, the people in the
united states that commit murders don't give a shit about the death penalty until they are being sentenced. they simply don't take it into consideration before they kill someon. i've lived in areas where there were alot of drugs and shootings and it is an afterthought. |

Okay...but if one person, is wrongfully executed thats to many.
Since we all agree that it has likely happened...it should stop. |

Well well, Ya hear the words BUSH and alot think all the bad stuff about
him ya hear the word TEXAS and what do you think of Cowboys,Indians & and the Wild West. Hummmmmm well I will tell you one thing. BUSH is very much from TEXAS the one thing almost all TEXANS will tell ya the one thing we have to thank BUSH for as GOVERNOR is the DEATH PENALTY. In TEXAS we do fry them and on a regular basis. All I can say it's better than buying new rope and have to watch them hanging from a TREE it makes such a mess if left to long. Am I for the DEATH PENALTY hell yeah FRY THEM. Ya know when they are out there raping your wife or cutting your kids throat do you really think they care about the pain they are going through? Or the pain you go through as you plan there funerals I don't think so. All I can say if BUSH wanted to run as GOVERNOR for TEXAS again hell ya I would vote for him but not as President. THAT IS MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT!!!!! |

Ohhh and as far as the lethal injection to the guy it does not hurt it
is like going to sleep. Have you ever watched them put a dog to sleep well I just had to when a friend of mine had to put his down due to cancer. It was very sad but I can say she did not suffer the shot just put her right to sleep and in a split second they are lucky they get it so easy as to have the lethal injection now days. So no he should not get a stay of execution. |
