I think it needs to be used. With today's technology it should happen faster. Need to take a hard look at whats crowding our jails and prisons. We are putting people in jail for a dime bag of weed but letting out repeat sex offender to repeat again. Im sure War could put a whole other thought in your mind about the prison system. Oh look at date. Hey I get better with age

If murder is really wrong there shouldn't be a such thing as legalized murder. How is it right for a judge, jury, etc.. to decide if someone should die? If the criminal is executed they don't even have to face up to what they have done. I know some never do anyway, but taking their life gives them the easier way out. They should rot in prison until they die.

The only real purpose for a death penalty is to rid the world of a threat. From that standpoint I don't have any problem with it. If it's simply a matter of taking a single, non-productive life to save one or more other, productive lives, then it's a completely ethical decision. But "revenge" or "punishment" are entirely different matters. As a punishment it's completely useless because the only purpose of punishment is as a deterrent. And if he's dead, a deterrent is meaningless. Revenge is simply a poor excuse for murder.

Dahmer (sp?)didn't make it 6 months...Just something to think about..
