Topic: women and tattoos? | |
---|---|
I love tattooes on men and women. I currently have three and I'm planning for my fourth. All of mine are placed in inconspicuous places and are only visible if I choose to show them. (See profile for an example.) I love tattooes for what they represent to me. Individuality, personality, art, and in the case of my largest piece, rememberance of someone(s) special.

Like clothing, hairstyles, make-up, etc. I think tattoos are an expression of your own personality. As for an entire sleeve....it would have to be personal opinion on the "love it" or "hate it". If done well, and the images were meaningful and fit the subjects personality, it could very well be "beautiful" and enhance her personal style. However those same tattoos...as one man pointed out...could distract from the woman's natural beauty...especially as you grow older. I don't know about you, but I am nothing like I was when I was younger...tastes change, self-image changes, likes and dislikes change....but you're stuck with tattoos. Well said. |

Well, whether it be on a man or a woman, I see tattoo's as a form of art. A little statement, or a picture, giving us an example of who you are. Too many can be a turn off for me, though.

I'm not fond of tattoos on men OR women. A few I can look past, but any that cover large areas of skin are a complete turn-off for me.

I have mixed feelings about body art. Some are very pretty and feminine and some are just too much or distracting.
I don't see the body as a billboard and generally advise against excessive body art in areas where it might result in a barrier to employment. For women who may have limited opportunities this can be critical to survival as they age. I would not recommend sleeves because when the arms loose the natural beauty and elasticity of the skin which ages first; on lower arms and the outside of the hands, they won't be nearly so pretty as the skin sags, developes age spots, and just generally breaks down. |

What is your opinion on women having tattoo sleeves in their 30's and 40's? Turn on or turn off? Tattoo SLEEVES? Huge no. If an entire peice of their body is being covered, thats not desirable even before they age. Tats can be great in small supply, but can easily be too much of a good thing if large enough |

Tattoos are acupuncture for the soul. No matter how stressed i get once that needle pierces my skin it all just melts away.

I love tattoos,
However I think depending on what you do and what you want to continue to do that you need to be concious of what and where you put them. Half of advice to my children who have had tattoos was to keep them where they could be hidden. One of my sons had a tattoo placed on his arm when we visited America this year, he is 16 and is planning on joining the army of starting an apprenticship next year so a tattoo wont make much of a difference when he applies for a job. However, just in case he changes his mind, we have kept it so that for now it will be under his sleeve in a T Shirt. Regardless of who you are, you will be judged by what you have on your body when you apply for certain work. |

(I really am fond of the art for those who choose to do it) , and especially for some of the "special" reasons they do.
The thing that trips me out these days is that in order NOT to conform and be different.....I guess I've done it. I "don't" have any tattoos. Nice TrampStamp..........Mom. |

Be it small or big tattoo, man or woman, is a sin in the side of God, and on the judgement day you answer question concerning that.
