Who was talking about "teaching" someone? You're taking this out of context like you always do.

Cowboy...wasn't the conversation about why women should remain silent in church and not have the authority to teach Men? .....

you even commented why Men should teach and why women shouldn't

so try to stay focus thank you very much

I am focused, I NEVER women SHOULDN'T teach. Heck, everyone but the preacher should remain silent.

you keep "agnostically" trying to play both sides...so yes or no... are you now saying that the bible is wrong and that women should not remain silent in Church and should teach Men?

EVERYONE but the preacher is to remain silent in church. And if a woman is called to preach, then yes she should preach. All this started out from speaking of the "family" structure, why do you take things way out of context? Man is the head of the FAMILY.

Wow, glad your "off topic" discussions came up with this one. I have found that in the sense of preaching/teaching it is not against the law and or against God's will for a woman to preach/teach.

In the sense of a marriage/family, the man is the head, yes. But again that is set up to keep arguing and all that to a minimum. And the man also has rules/guidelines in that area he must follow as well.

But nevertheless, there are many different examples of women "preaching/teaching" throughout the scriptures.

Luke 24
10 It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

Acts 18:24-26
24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

Which makes sense now that I have looked into this, makes sense of why pentecostals have female preachers sometimes.

But nevertheless, fact still remains EVERYONE but the preacher should remain silent during service. Including men as well as women.

And one last set of verses on the women preaching/teaching. Think this one hits it well. It's not just an example of it happening, but a direct statement. Notice "and your sons and your DAUGHTERS shall prophesy. It may not say specifically a "sermon", but when one prophecies, they are doing God's will just as preaching is. And is along the lines of teaching as well.

Joel 2:28-29
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

no Cowboy...Men do not have to remain silent in church ...only women..

so if you claim that a woman should preach...then you are going against the bible and God

Please show where the word "sex" is used, or "mated" or anything along those lines. Do you have a fetish with always thinking about sex or something Funches? No where in that verse, or any other verse of this refers to "sex".

a woman can not conceived without some form of sex...it's time to grown up and stop believing that women get pregnant magically ...

Nobody got pregnant "magically". With God all things are possible.

if all things are possible with God...then that would mean that he can make things happen magically?

if Mary conceived with no form of sex...then it's magical.....or Joseph accidently left some sperm in the bath water

"Can make things happen magically"?

What are you talking about Funches. There is no magic, just he can do anything and everything at his will.

"What "Will"?...the bible makes it clear that it was The Holy Spirit that went inside Mary and caused her to conceive ..

so if the holy spirit didn't use Sperm as you claim ...then all that is left is Magic ...

unless of course if you can come up with another explanation as to how mary became pregnant other than Magic

I've said it already, you just ignore what people say, go on with other discussions taking things out of context. Then speak as if it wasn't said.

Marry was pregnant WITH the Holy Spirit. She was found with child OF the Holy Spirit. Not found with child FROM the Holy Spirit, but OF the Holy Spirit.

Cowboy...the bible states that mary was pregnant "by" The Holy Spirit...not "with" The Holy Spirit ...

you're also welcome to present a passage that states that Mary was pregnant "with" The Holy Spirit ...clearly you attempted to search for one by now ...and know that it doesn't exist

so cut out the comedy will you please, and just admit that Mary got pregnant if not by sperm...then magically

Everyone is to remain silent in church. Church is a place for worship. How can one hear the blessings/teachings from the preacher if one is talking?

LISTEN Funches lol, you're doing a very good job at not doing that today. I didn't say "silent during church". I said silent during "service". That means while the preacher is up there preaching, everyone should remain silent so they can hear and or are paying attention to what the preacher is preaching to them. If they do not do this, they may miss out on the message and or cause someone else to miss out on it as well.

Repent from what?

Joel 2:28-29
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Again, notice sons and DAUGHTERS. Shall prophesy, what is a person doing when they prophecy? They are "preaching". They are spreading the word of God.

Women are equal to men, what are you talking about Funches? Do you see women as a lesser of a person then men or something? Cause no one here has said anything that puts them on a lower level.

More and more I look into this, more I find where it talks about women being quiet is in groups of people. But when it comes down to just one or two people, the women can teach/preach just fine.

I think this comes into play of the different ways men/women are. Men especially in the time in question spoke with more authority. Again, women are generally more tender and delicate then men. Not being sexist either, that is just the way it is. Yes, in this day and age women have become more "rough" so to speak. But that is due to our culture and the world in which we live in. Naturally women are not so.

Here is even a verse that was recognized by early church leaders to have been a female apostle, Junia.

So yes, while Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit descended. God is also omnipresent, he is not restricted to just one place or one form at a time.

The word translated "one" is not in the masculine gender of a word, but is neutral gender. It expresses union, but not in the physical sense. It may express any union, but we see in the previous verses that he is referring to goals of redeeming and preserving his people.

John 10
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

a woman can not conceived without some form of sex...it's time to grown up and stop believing that women get pregnant magically ...

It does not say Marry was filled "by" the Holy spirit. It says she was filled "OF" the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 1:18
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Luke 3:21,22
"Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.” "

the above passage displays how Jesus is not The Holy Spirit ...which means that the passage you presented only proves that Jesus is the son of the holy spirit

but either way the pregnancy would still be magical ..unless you can explain why it wouldn't be

Spiritually The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are all one. When Jesus says "My father and I are one", it comes from a word that means one spiritually. So yes, while Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit descended. God is also omnipresent, he is not restricted to just one place or one form at a time.

Mary wasn't spiritually pregnant she was physcially pregnant...which only shows how that "Father and I are one" is nothing more than tricks intented to deceive that three gods equals one god

the moral of this lesson is that you now know that Jesus is not The Holy Spirit but instead is the child of the Holy Spirit and the adopted child of THe Father ...clearly adopted means "Begotton" pertaining to The Father fatherly rights

but either way you look at it...a Spirit getting a Woman physcially pregnant without sperm falls into the realm of magic and/or witch craft

Cowboy... you yourself place women on a lower level with your remarks as to how Men are more stern and aburpt than women and therefore why would God have them teach

and then as usual you contradicted yourself by saying that women should teach..I guess you didn't want the women on the forum to crucify you...but for whatever reason you say that...it goes against what is in the bible that women should remain silent in church

if the bible is not sexist...then explain without sounding sexist...why Women are to remain silent in church

lol, you just love to take things out of context and think someone can't make a mistake and or say something differently then you.

I NEVER said women couldn't teach. And women are more tender, loving, caring, and so forth. That absolutely does NOT place them on a lower level then men lol. That actually to a degree puts them on a higher level. Love is a much greater and harder emotion to share then hatred. Hatred is easy, heck most the world expresses that emotion all the time.

And not just women should remain silent, EVERYONE but the preacher should remain silent.

Again, heck even the pentecostals have female preachers. Please if you're going to discuss Funches, keep the ENTIRE discussion into play, not just bits and parts taken out of context like you usually do.

No, just God can do anything and everything at his will. Create, destroy, ANYTHING. God doesn't "need" anything to do something. He does it at his will.
