I don't know what you have against youtube, it has a lot of great stuff on it. Full length documentaries, and news shows etc.

Yes, and youtube has a lot of dumb crap on it. This vid you posted is a good example.

As for being a nasty critic blah, blah, blah. If it's rubbish and you can't see it, how does that make me above everybody else? I suppose I could be superior in that I have a pretty keen BS detector, but that's nothing to get upset about.

How are we supposed to tell the "dumb crap" from the good stuff without a proper critique showing us why its "dumb crap?" Are we supposed to believe you? Are you somehow more credible than the guy making the video? Are we just supposed to assume it's dumb crap because "everybody knows it's dumb crap"?

Dumb crap should be easy to rebut with persuasive evidence and sound reasoning. That would be the intelligent way to do it. Simply calling it "dumb crap" and leaving it at that isn't intelligent at all; that's just one of the herd mentality spouting a load of dumb crap.

I can find "links" every minute of every day. That is not what I consider answering a question or having a discussion, one mind to another. In clicking on some of the links in this thread I also found very a condescending video with attitude that only posed the question, that if the earth is growing, where does all the mass come from.

If a person simply posts a link they then take no responsibility for the content of that link and if you try to discuss it with them they say: take it up with the website I linked to..

which is the same as saying "I don't want to talk to you, or have a real discussion with you, "why don't you just go read a book or read this link and stop trying to actually talk to me?"
