Lord means, ruler. Synonyms of "lord" is master and god.

That is why Jesus is refered to as OUR LORD God. Jesus is our master, our god, our ruler, and so forth.

no... Jesus brought with him "Teachings" on how to get to God....which is why they are referred to as "The Teachings of Jesus" not the laws of Jesus

apparently one way to get to God and to be a disciple is to hate your children

Jesus is OUR lord, OUR God. I want you to take a peak of some verses that I think will help you, all come from revelations 19

1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God

Notice says OUR God.

5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.

Again, OUR God.

That is who Jesus is OUR God, OUR Lord. That does NOT mean he is God over the father, or lord of the Father. He is OUR God and OUR father.



Jesus came to give the laws of his father. But in the chain of command, they are HIS laws for us. Jesus is the mediator between man and the Father. Thus the laws given to us is from Jesus not the Father.

Philippians 2:9-10

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

God -
3: a person or thing of supreme value
4: a powerful ruler

Thus why Jesus is referred to as "LORD" God. Because he is the highest rank, but still not the powerful ruler above the Father. He has been given the highest rank FROM the father.

Thus why the two different terms are used when referring to the two different beings. If both terms referred to the same being "God" and "LORD God", then there would be absolutely no reason to use both, just one term would be used as it would be referring to the same being.

There is no contradiction in what has been said here. We are not to stone anyone. That was the OLD COVENANT, the OLD law, the one Jesus FULFILLED, COMPLETED, FINALIZED, FINISHED. Stoning someone is not included in the new set of laws Jesus gave to us, the second covenant made with God.

because if you can not present any....then that is an indication that the laws of Moses of stoning unruly children to death still applies to Christians
