I would have to say that I'm a freak and a pervert. It has nothing to do with me being a Christian, it's because I have an out of control libido.

I would have a problem with a woman who wanted to wait until marriage and here's why: As previously stated, I am a freak and a pervert. I would hate to marry someone and discover that we were sexually incompatible. Maybe if we had some very open and honest discussions about sex, I would be put at ease, but I can't say.

I wouldn't intentionally push a woman to have sex, if she had made a commitment to herself or God, I would respect that.

I would say, you are meeting the wrong men.There are men out there that will respect your wishes.Why on earth would you compromise your beliefs for someone else? I think that is why some people hurry and get married. Then when they find out that the only thing they liked about each other was the sex. Of course, then its way too late to do anything about it then because they are supposed to stay married to each other. Can you say entrapment? Reminded of that song, "I would have liked you much better if we had slept together." That was part of the song. I am glad I am staying just in friendship basis with people. Friendship just seems so much easier to deal with others. I like what Curly of the 3 Stooges said about marriage: "Are you married or happy?" I pray that God gives you the desires of your heart.

I would like to wait until I'm married too, and would like to find someone who want s to wait as well. No body is perfect, nor should they be expected to be perfect.

This has always amused me.

Having been in about a dozen awkward situations (could probably write a book, would be amusing) where I've turned women down, I'm not just some religious zealot who has spent his life locked in a basement saying this. I enjoy women. I like the physical affection. But last time a checked I wasn't an animal totally governed by instinct. 99 percent of men in the world need to grow some morals and learn a bit of self control.

But if you make sex purely physical, which is what not waiting does like it or not then you are wasting something really fabulously special. Like...having a supercomputer and just using it to play tic tac toe. When you could be doing so much more with it.

I'm not saying be judgemental of people who aren't virgins. But if you personally want to wait, it is your call and your call alone. I believe it's the right call by a long shot because it shows a great deal of respect for yourself and the person you were destined for.

I'd say it's worth the wait but I can't speak from experience yet because I haven't met the mythical One. I can say however that yes people do wait and if a man doesn't respect you for that, he isn't worth ten seconds of your time. I have an enormous deal of respect for women who want to wait. And have the moral courage and self respect to stick by it. Unfortunately I seem to run into the other kind more often than not. You are worth more than a sex object. Trust me, there are guys out there who want more women who will slap someone talking to them like a blowup doll than going along with it

People have to love you and if a man cant love that you have that much respect for God, than I cant see how he is really loving you

sex is not a NEED, it is an extra, and if all the other things are connecting, why not marry first and trust that the sex will too

I think your integrity is AWESOME, dont worry if the other party cant quite live up to it, but I wouldnt settle, you may find you have compromised yourself for the wrong one and that it wasnt worth the risk

Lust is such a powerful thing
we can't afford to focus too hard on it...
when we are not married,
we mislead ourselves and others by it.
Personally I feel that the Lord blesses us
with much more benefits than sex... in a marital union.
Therefore we, after respectful study of God's Word...
will have the better understanding of what we NEED
in a mate...
how we can please them and they us.

I am very new to this site, hoping to find my "last romance." That
being said...if you put God first, and don't let yourselves get into a compromising situation, then you can keep the natural urges at bay.
I am a mature woman, and still have desires, but I want to please God more. If I am fortunate enough to find a "true" Christian man, he will respect my wishes.
We must remember to date for quite awhile. We shouldn't be in any rush, because finding the "right" lifemate for ourselves is like going on a wonderful trip, and you want to pick the "right" "trip" at the right time. Right? LOL
We must communicate deeply, and thoroughly, and put God in the center of our relationships. You are looking for your best friend, and your best friend will always respect you. They willhave your best interests at heart, at least a "true" friend would. JMO

My opinion is that you are putting your faith into your potential mate, So, put your faith in God and do not compromise your beliefs. If you want a Christian "man" who is living his life for our Lord Jesus (Lord meaning the boss)( And THE BOSS says wait) then it would not matter to that man , as a matter of fact IF the man you are interested in IS a Christian then waiting wouldnt be anything to even discuss. Once God knows you have Him in his rightful place and your faith is in Him and Him alone, and that He is enough for you, Then God will send you your perfect mate to Honor and Glorify Jesus and believe me unlike some other advice I read on here. If you love her, you can wait! If you are committed to her, you can wait! If your relationship falls apart...for what ever reason...you can wait!

I am not saying "No, never do it, sex is out of the question!" I am saying this: "Think first!" But, one must acknowledge the fact that it can happen in the heat of the moment of true love for each other. Practice a dating rule of never being alone in a private area will help. My first wife moved up our wedding date because she thought she was pregnant. We never had any children and were divorced after 5 years. We may have never married if sex had not entered the picture. We take our lives and others lives into our hands by doing something that appears to be simply between two people. The repercussions can be enormous!

One must know, sex is much more than just a physical action! There is another level of connection that takes place...it's invisible, intangible but none the less real. Just like playing the guitar creates a callous on each finger after much use...the same happens when one has to much sex...that part of us...that spiritual part of us that sex touches can grow calloused and lose of feeling.

This can be a precious part of ones relationship with the one we love the most. Do not seek to waste such a precious aspect of our humanity.
