Topic: The NO BIBLE ALLOWED Thread can you handle it? | |

The bible is an object. And it was mentioned ONE time in here and then people flew off and got this thread way out in left field. Cowboy ....the bible was mentioned one time in here by you...but yet you refuse to acknowledge it because it links you to preaching ....it's not like your preaching in this forum is some type of secret ...you're probably the only one that don't know you're doing it but anyway you mention the Old Testament because without it your belief that your flesh is sin points to self hatred You're babbling again Funches. Yes I did mention the old testament, this has been definitely clarified. Then you and another went off on a rant about it, could you not have just ignored my post and or something as such? Why bring it out into an entire discussion all in it's own. But what I said did not break the thread rules, I did not use the bible to support anything I was saying. I merely MENTIONED it. So again, why take this discussion entirely off course and off topic of what was being discussed to rant about someone just mentioning the old testament? I messed up yes, that is definitely clarified, so can we not just move on? Why keep at it? Why waste so much time ranting about nothing, when we could be discussing what this thread was intended for? There is much more important things to discuss in this area, other then someone's mistake from habit of mentioning a book. Cowboy...without the bible there was simply no other way that you could have explained why "flesh is sin" without either sounding delusisonal or suicidal this is why soon as you mention The Old Testament as a way to justify why "you believe that flesh is sin" is when you broke the thread rules.... you even stated that you have a habit of mentioning a book ... it's funny how you now refer to the Bible as "a book" ...you're now afraid to say the word Bible because of your uncanny fear of being associated to preaching you're showing symptoms of "Preach-O-Phobia" |

Since this is about spiritual forms or ghosts, I wanted to use my imagination and contemplate the possibility.
If we become in spiritual form when we pass away, is it possible that we are in agreement...or do we also have disagreements and just godly like wars amongst each other...no different then what we have in human form. In otherwords, perhaps what we know now is erased when we pass away and we live in harmony agreeing on everything....the reason why we became bored and wanted to experience human form in the first place to enjoy competition, disagreements, and different ideas. Okay I am out with my odd imagination. :) |

Yes the bible is merely a book. There is nothing special about the bible itself. What is special and great, is the knowledge that it possesses, the history of our savior, the laws we are to abide by, ect. But the paper itself is only as valuable as the paper it's written on. If I wanted to get into detail I could have just said, Our flesh is sinful. Fleshly desires, sexual actions, drugs, drinking, ect ect are sins that are associated with the flesh and the flesh desires this if one lives by the flesh. If one lives by the flesh, they desire fleshly matters, things of this world. If one lives by the spirit, they desire spiritual things, obeying the laws set out before us, doing kind and loving things out of exactly that, love. Not doing them for payment or anything of that nature. Just merely to share love. |

You truly have a very very very negative outlook on life and or just in spirituality. Yes humans have flesh. This flesh is but temporary. No suicidal feelings, nothing of that sort. This flesh is important for the here and now, yes. The flesh itself isn't bad, the desires the flesh has are at times bad yes. Hunger, thirst, ect are not bad. I'm talking about the sexual desires, the effects of drugs some desire, ect. And yes I'd much rather be with God rather then here on Earth where I feel hunger, pain, sicknesses, ect. But that is all in due time. These diseases, sicknesses, and other things will be relieved in his time. And the flesh is only important for getting a date on Mingle2 because that is what people live by. The world has lost, not entirely but for a good part has lost it's emotional passion in dating. It's turned to who's "sexier" then the other, ect. At start people don't tend to look for the one who is beautiful, handsome, ect. They look for the "sexy" person. They don't imediately look for humor, mannerism, politeness, kindness, tenderness, ect. They look for a good looking spouse. The flesh is merely a cover, it doesn't show what is inside. |

The only reward for sin is death eg., the only outcome of sin is death. And in the time period these laws applied, we were judged on Earth for our sins. And again, the only reward for sin is death. |

You guys don't know how to have a civil discussion, you guys are merely here to "debate". So please learn how a discussion is done and how people may or may not make a mistake from time to time saying something without thinking. And just move on from there and get back on discussion of what was intended, rather then ranting on and on and on and on and on and on about it leading the thread way out into the middle of no where. Just like I said, denial won't get you anywhere. You've referenced the "biblical story" countless times already. Stating that sins are passed down from generation to generation, even mentioning that this is taught in the Old Testament, and also claim that some god supposedly gave had his son put to death so others could live. Apparently you can't get past your denial. |

You say you would much rather "be with God" than here on earth where you have to experience hunger, pain, sickness etc. Why? Do you hate life? How can you enjoy pleasure if you never know pain? How can you enjoy food if you were never hungry? Why did you chose to come to earth if you would rather not be here? Or did God make you come? If so, why would you doubt his judgement sending you to earth? Or do you believe your soul was born here? If so, why would you have to come to earth to be born? Why not just be born in heaven with God? Now that you have come here (or been born here) and now that you have decided you would rather be with God in heaven to avoid all of the pain and hunger and sickness here, what is wrong with just killing yourself so you can be with God? I know, that's a sin, but why? Here is how I look at it, I regard myself as an immortal spirit having come here on purpose to experience this life and many other lives. I am grateful for every moment I am alive and thankful for every lesson I learn. I am glad to be here. I want to stay as long as possible, pain, hunger, sickness and all. I love life and I am thankful for it. To me, you seem to be very unhappy. |

Apparently you can't get past your denial. The only thing mentioned in this particular thread was "the old testament". Who cares about other conversations in other threads. We're speaking of this particular thread that requested no "bible or other religious doctrine" to be used as "evidence or reasoning". And me stating sins are passed from generation to generation isn't using any form of doctrine, did I say book XXX verses XXX in my comment? No I did not. All our religious beliefs in one way or other are in "books". From buddhism, to Christians, to spirituality, to anything and everything that has something to do with "religion". BUT, as this thread was intended to be used to discuss things spiritual wise without referrencing a specific book. Yes I failed in that with my mentioning of the old testament. But this thread can not actually be done. Each and every one of our spiritual beliefs are and or usually are found in one book or another. This thread was placed here for a spiritual discussion without using a specific book as a referrence eg., the bible. Which yes, I screwed up with mentioning the old testament, but again nothing out of it was posted in backing me up, so in the long run it did not conflict with the rules of the thread. And again, this thread ONLY came off topic because of people trying to point fingers trying to make the other person look "bad, wrong, or incorrect". |

I love life and I am thankful for it. To me, you seem to be very unhappy. You say you would much rather "be with God" than here on earth where you have to experience hunger, pain, sickness etc. Why? Do you hate life? No I do not, I absolutely love life. Don't know where you get off thinking I might even hate life. Do you? How can you enjoy pleasure if you never know pain? How can you enjoy food if you were never hungry? Why did you chose to come to earth if you would rather not be here? Or did God make you come? If so, why would you doubt his judgement sending you to earth? - By not taking what you do have for granted. The only reason you would have to be shown different then what you got is cause one isn't thankful for what they do have. If you never knew what pain was, that wouldn't make the pleasure any less, would make you more thankful that all you have felt is pleasure and no pain. - Who would need food if you were never hungry? And while we're still on Earth, you need it to survive life. Do you eat food for purely the taste? Do you eat food purely cause you need it to survive? Or do you eat food for a combination of the two? I particularly eat for the combination of the two. If i was never hungry, then I would obviously never eat. - I didn't "choose" to come to Earth. I was created on Earth. I enjoy every moment on Earth, even when things are seeming down, I keep the memories of the good times to keep me up. Life is great in every aspect for everyone if they are thankful for what they have. - I doubt no judgment of anything. God knows best, God knows all. - Because killing yourself is against God's will, it's a straight ticket to no where. It's not your choice when you leave this world or don't. That judgment is entirely up to God. |

I didn't "choose" to come to Earth. I was created on Earth.
Don't you mean you were born on earth? Why weren't you just born in heaven if that is where you would rather be? How do you know your spirit or soul did not exist with God before you incarnated to the earth? How do you know you did not chose to come here? |

I was not born in heaven cause mankind was kicked out of being in the direct presence of God. We were booted from the paradise from our disobedience. Yes we were kicked out "The Garden of Eden" not heaven in exacts. You would have to ask God when you get the chance why we weren't just created in heaven itself. How do you know your spirit or soul did not exist with God before you incarnated to the earth? You're question doesn't make exact sense. How could I exist anywhere else before I was created? If we were created in heaven, we would be there, would we not be? What would be the point in creating something/someone somewhere but sending them somewhere else? Why not just either create the creation where you were going to put them or leave the creation where you created them? What would be the point in creating me (us) in heaven, but sending us here? |

I don't know what I was thinking women were looking for kindness, sensitivity, care, and a tender hand to heal their pains both physical and emotionally. Yes women want a strong hand to hold, not a little wimpy girl. But that doesn't mean they want a crude man that worries about how his shirt looks on him. Is appearance all you pay attention to Funches? Is that all you're looking for? Humor, Caring, loving, sweetness, ect are the greatest aspects of a woman, the looks are just extra. Less you want to admit now, that you're just in a relationship for the appearance of a woman and or that is the main reason. Kisses are not "sexual", unless you do it in a certain way and in hopes it will lead to further actions. Unless you don't know how to just give a caring, passionate kiss. Holding hands are not "sexual" either. Heck guess we start doing sexual actions at a very young age, with our mom's even. Cause when I was anywhere from 5 - 8ish or so I remember holding my mom's hand. LoL, you're very funny on the way you see things Funches, you're quite a character. |

Cowboy ...if your claim that caring, loving, sweetness in a woman are the greatest aspect...then perhaps you should find those same qualities within yourself and refrain from telling them that flesh and lust is sinful because this mean that you will never make any positive comment to your spouse about her appearance ...would that in itself not be crude? |
