Big News Flash!! The confusion of the Democrats must have included the date ... thinking that it was still Halloween Nancy Polosi was just found with a stake in her heart! Actually, on NBC it was just stated that a Pelosi aide said that Pelosi didn't get her message out. She put out a press release after results started coming in saying they arn't going to or even come close to losing the House at all. |

he's trying to give bush credit for having so many homeowners in the nation. if that's so, he could have at least made sure they could afford them. Actually Bush tried over 13 times to put regulation into fanny mae and freddie mac because he saw the housing bubble coming.Bush tried to stop it but was not successful. A big part of the blame is our Government demanding banks give houses to minorities that couldn't afford them.I believe that is where it really started.Our Government told the banks they had no choice but to give people a house loan regardless if they could afford it or not.Our Government was saying it was a right to own a house and the banks couldn't discriminate.It was all a load of BS!

i can't remember the name of the guy.
but there's a billionaire who said he paid less than his own secretary. but when the top ten percent gets taxed a larger percentage, the population's average income increases. which means less poverty. so what if the poor billionaire loses a couple million. trust me. the guy's gonna live. |

i can't remember the name of the guy. but there's a billionaire who said he paid less than his own secretary. but when the top ten percent gets taxed a larger percentage, the population's average income increases. which means less poverty. so what if the poor billionaire loses a couple million. trust me. the guy's gonna live. How does others income go up? Their companies don't pay them more because of higher taxes on the rich. The government just gets more money to spend on social programs. The highest tax bracket is for couples 373,000 thats not millionaires or billionaires. Right now thats 35%. The average household in the US earns under 68K but I am not sure what average is now but in 2007 that was 45k. That puts them in 15%. You dont think paying 20% more than the average american household is enough? Its more than double the percentage already. Want to point out that this is for couples and not including state taxes which can easily be another 5% |

Lets see, one I don't think people should be punished for working hard and accomplishing goals. I have heard of the people that got raises that just moved them into the next tax bracket with actually had them earning less money. With my degree I could easily be in a top 10% household income mid career especially if my wife would have a job. It only takes a bit over 100k a year to be in the top 15% and where that 5% drops off I am not sure. |
