if i read one more profile that says I LIKE WALKS ON THE BEACH i'm gonna THROW UP! what the hell is wrong with you women! did you all read the same romance novel? i lived on the BEACH and walking on it sucked! theres no solid footing so you look drunk.each step takes a million calories of energy and makes you pant and breath hard...nothing like being on a deserted beach with a strange man whos breathing hard is there girls? not to mention the sand that always manages to get into your underwear and feels like a sheet of sandpaper in your butt crack...yeah you might laugh but its true...so enough with the walking on the BEACH already!its friggin uncomfortable!it just sounds good...sorry,had to get it off my chest. OH,this is for that special someone(you know who you are),yes putting whipped cream there while useing olive oil on my #$%^ is perfectly acceptable...just dont ask me to go for a walk on the BEACH!!!

I would like the opportunity to take a walk on the beach myself. And no it's not in my profile.

As for the making it look like your a walking drunk, well chances are she'd be looking the same way cause neither one of you would have solid footing.

And if you are panting and breathing hard just by walking, makes me wonder if you might be just a little out of shape.

And how in the world do you manage to get the sand in your underwear if you are walking? Last time I checked walking required you to be standing in an upright position, not sitting on your butt. But maybe you do it differently, who knows.

Beach running offers the advantage of burning more calories due to the uneven terrain of the sand which also helps to tone leg and calf muscles. Just sayin'........

What happens if you live on or a near a beach??? Huh? Huh? I'll tell you what happens. You normally like it and like walking on it. You are an exception.

You know what I hate? People who think their opinions count for anything and get all pissy and whiny when expressing dissatisfaction.

No, the man has a very good point. It's sickening to the point of exasperation when virtually every single female profile you look at says some crap about "the beach, the beach, the beach." Anytime I see that, I click to the next profile....usually only to see it again.

I'm not trying to second guess what some people mean when they say they like "Walks on the beach"
but it could mean they just like to be in a romantic setting with someone and just trying to create an image of beauty ,serenity or contentment...

How about going for a walk on the beach with whip cream there(?) and you with olive oil on your #$%^ ?bigsmile

Yes, it IS my opinion, and I'm welcome to it, and I'm certainly not alone.

If I may be so bold as to borrow a quote from longhairbiker from a different thread:

No. Seriously. My opinion is not the fact people state declarations that are false or misleading in their profiles, but more or less state or declare dillusional subconcious in their profiles. Ya know? Likes long walks on the beach but lives 1200 miles from the beach on a turd infested river? Or has fake boobs, fake eye color, fake nails, fake hair color- but is looking for "A real man". Or how about bragging on how many tattoos and piercings they have but doesn't like anal sex because it hurts? Its just crazy. Every profile in my area is LAME,BORING,and UNORIGINAL. Some are carbon copies of themselves. "Looking for Mr Right. Looking for a "Good man". Where's my knight in shining armour. Sorry dumbass- this isn't 16 century england and my levis don't come in tin and I left my chainmail underwear at home. A lot of f*cked up profiles on here. People say one thing in their mind- but mean something else.

And he's entirely correct!

I live near many beaches and LOVE LOVE LOVE walking on them. It is true I do not say this in my profile, but even if I did what's the big deal to anyone else? If it offends you MOVE ON!

The other thing about peoples opinions I failed to mention is that they matter ENTIRELY TOO MUCH to themselves. They wind up thinking they're always right and oh so brilliant.

I say lighten up. Some of us tend to worry about, and put too much focus on, trivial matters.

Mitch, the point is, it doesn't matter to just "move on", because the next one will say the same thing nine times out of ten. Perhaps some (most) people LIKE "walks on the beach", and that's fine. Personally, I couldn't give a fart in a high wind about the beach. I seriously think most people actually believe that everyone in the world has seen the ocean. I haven't, except for from the window of a plane. Never cared to. It holds absolutely no interest, so it gets very tiring reading it in profile after profile.

I'm sorry Keith but if you can't deal with the cliche ridden profiles then don't look at all. I'm not a big fan of cliches either, but ultimately it is not their problem. It is mine.

Try walking down closer to the water... the sand is more firm and takes less effort!!

Sun 02/01/09 05:52 AM
Just as an aside, some people could stand walking a little further away from the water. It's exercise of a sort.

Unfortunately, if Boskoinc is sick of reading this phrase -and skips over a profile that has that in it- he may be passing over someone who he may very well have enjoyed talking to and getting to know otherwise...

Too much stock being put into phrases here...

"A walk on the beach" is a description of a romantic setting- and if you are not a romantic then you might as well stop reading the profile that contains it an move on!
