yes the "bible" was written after Jesus. That is because the bible is combined of many documents that was wrote while he was here.

That's why acts, revolations, john, and so on aren't called chapters, they are called the books of acts, the books of revolations, ect. And all these were written while he was here on earth.

great job Cowboy, the bible is a collection of 39 books in the old testament and 27 in the new testament. They were written over a period of 1400-1800 years by forty different authors beginning in 1450BC.

if the Old Testament only prophetize about a Messiah and the last book in the old testament was written before Jesus lived or in BC.. and the Oldest book in the New Testament was written after Jesus died in AD ..then how could anything in the bible have been written about Jesus while Jesus was supposedly living or "here" ....

MsHarmony...you have a habit of constantly praising Cowboy for deception and providing false information .....now say three hail marys

I may have to start holding bible classes for you believers to place you guys on the path to true rightousness

Oh, Funches, you have a habit of trying to belittle the faith of believers such as Cowboy. The previous post to his stated that the bible was written 200 years after Jesus died and Cowboy corrected the misinformation,, which is what I aknowledged.

MsHarmony....Cowboy's post clearly stated that the bible is composed of many "books" that was written while Jesus was "here" on Earth...

anyone that can conceive the concept that Jesus only lived between the times of AD and BC can figure out that Cowboy's statement is clearly not true ...

but yet you praised him for spreading this false information or perhaps you didn't know enough about the bible and/or Jesus to know that this information was false...so.....er....which is it

The old testiment gives little information bout Jesus cause that was the law before Jesus came to earth. Jesus hadn't walked the earth in the old testiment, Jesus is the new testiment. The new testiment is the law for the people after Jesus came to this earth.

Actually, Jesus did not live BETWEEN BC and AD,,, jesus lived in AD, anno domini, the year of our lord. Cowboy is not correct about everything all the time, as none of us are. But when I do see young people seeking knowledge and standing for God, I aknowledge it. There was a mistatement that the bible was written TWO full centuries after christs death. Cowboy knew enough to know this part was not true. I aknowledged that with the information about WHEN the books were written.

The term Anno Domini is Medieval Latin, translated as In the year of our Lord

i don't know what i said that got misinturperated but whatever i said i want to fix now and make more clear. B.C. = Before Christ.... A.D. the year of our lord. A.D directly stands for After Death. Because when you accept Jesus into your heart, you die and are resurected a new person.

The word Christian in general literally meens christ like. When you accept Jesus in your heart you die to this world and all it's impurities and are reborn *risen* into a pure person.

they weren't books nor did i say they were books written then. I said that scribes and documents were wrote then. Not books as a whole in general.

Cowboy..people accepting Jesus in their heart has nothing to do with your statement that Jesus was here on Earth when some of the books of the bible was written... that was obvious false information on your part ...

unless of course you are saying that Jesus being accepted in your heart magically make that false statement now true ..if so then can you explain why that wouldn't be a case of religious extremism

Yes cause simply i didn't say there was "books" wrote. There was different forms of documentation and scribes written.

if that was true then Jesus as the Messiah and of great importance and god-like would have documents and scripts written about him between the times that he was a Child until he became an adult ..

so what happen to his teenager years documentation if the bible were being written when Jesus was here on Earth and handed down to the authors of the bible ...

the bible isn't Jesus's entire life. And it's a person we're talking about not some fictional character someone thought up and wrote down. So of course there wasn't going to be a scribe or someone making documention of everything that happened in his life.

and you'll find some of his child hood in Luke Chapter 2.

well to be fair I only debate about Jesus as if he wasn't a fictional character but in reality for all you know he could be ...in other words

this you know...for the bible tells you so

well then abraham lincoln was a fictional character? Adolf hitler? George Washington? And any other person in history? The only knowledge of them you have is what you've read, you've never met them in person so why believe they were real people?

This is the statement under consideration, right? AFAIK, there is no physical evidence that any of this was written during Jesus' life. If any notes were made, they were lost. Am I wrong?

Ms Harmony, I'm truly baffled by our exchange on the other page. You seem to keep repeating yourself, as if by doing so might answer my question, but you keep making statements that have nothing to do with my question. So I'd like to try another approach, just to be sure we are speaking the same language.

Suppose you want to have some biscuits made. Bob lives on a farm, has a cow, a field of unharvested grain, and a wood stove. Jim has a canister of pre-made biscuits that you throw in the oven.

Obviously, both of them can make biscuits, but that has nothing to do with the complexity or difficulty in doing so.

Do you think that these two people can make your biscuits with equal ease?

Do not need evidence, love for God and Jesus comes from FAITH. God does not need to provide proof for himself, he isn't the one that will either be rewarded or punished for that descision.

Work with me here, Cowboy... nothing you said has anything to do with my actual question. Do you agree that none of the "documents" were written "while he was here" ? Or do you not only have faith in Jesus, do you also have 'faith' that these documents were written while he was here? Or other?
