"The majority of Americans have conservite values, practice Christiany, and support the military."

Hmm....that sounds like Democrats to me. All of the ones that I know have values, practice Christianity and support the military.

laugh Winx you never amaze me with your thinking which is largely optimistic and delusional a great deal of the time.We really don't need to dig up all the hundreds of Anti military,Anti Christian, and Anti American bills to see if a Democrat or Republican is behind them do we?Come on now frustrated

I go to church with Christian Democrats that have values and support the military. Everybody that I know supports the military.

My family and friends are mostly Christian and have values and support the military. My city's majority religion is Catholic and is majority Democrat.

What Winx, Don't you know the only true americans, true millitary supporters and true christians are conservatives? Thomas is channeling Palin today...

Boo,

I don't know one single person that doesn't support the military.

I don't know any Democrats that don't have values.

I think that we all are true Americans - all religions included.

Obama trying to boycot Fox news is also a violation of the first Amendments;Freedom of the press and Freedom of speech. Then again as dense as Obama is I doubt if he has ever taken time to read the US Constitution.

Try again. He graduated from Harvard Law school. He worked as a civil rights attorney. He taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School.

"But the supreme court never ventured in to the issues of redistribution of wealth and the more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society. So as radical as people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the constitution, at least as it's been interpreted. And the Warren Court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberities. it says what the states can't do to you, it says what the federal government can't do to you, but it doesn't say what federal government or the state government must do on your behalf. And that hasn't shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power though which you bring about redistributive change and in some ways we still suffer from that" -Barack Obama, 2001

Obama sees the classical interpretation of the Constitution and Bill of Rights as obstacles to reshaping America in such a way that wealth and resources are "redistributed" in a way that he deems fair and just..

This is the lynch pin of his political philosophy.. America is an unjust nation.. Only remaking it in his own image will make it a just nation.

This is our president.. not some left wing kook protesting outside a Starbucks in San Diego.. The President..

Nearly every domestic agenda item or policy change he's made has been to this end.. to redistribute, through the power of the Federal Government, the wealth of this nation. from each according to his means, to each according to his need.

"I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody" - Barack Obama, 2008

One Democrat President one Republican President...any your point is?
House and Senate all Dem in a landslide. that is reality. No spin there. How many seats did the repubs lose anyhow I lost count. Face it the republican party is forever a minority party. All the demographics point in that direction from the number of younger people who voted dem to the old raceists dieing off. America is on track to be a progresive liberal democratic country no matter how loud rush screams or how many people watch fox news, the future belongs to those who are tollerant.

laugh a landslide???You are ahead in the house and Senate by what?I think one or two Democrats?I hardly call that a landslide. It is almost dead even. The Republicans were in control for I think 12 years before Pelosi came in.I hardly call the Republicans a minority when they can gain control of the House and Senate with a few more members.

As far as your messiah Obama and his human rights...He doesn't seem to give a crap about them as he denied coming to the 20 anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall and also would not meet with the Dali lama. How is that for a start?

Keep dreaming of a Liberal America because that is what it is.Just a dream.

dems took 2/3 of the seats that were up for election that is a landslide. laugh drinker  tongue2

Damn man do some math and research.

America is a libral country face it. Two landslide elections were the republicans lost it all. It was a political tsunami. America has allwaysbeen liberal from the new deal to freedom of the press. except for under Bush, america has pushed for human rights throughout the world. flowerforyou

Nice try, but the only way the modern version of liberalism has been winning in most sections of this country has been to run as conservatively as they possibly can without completely flipping out their left-wing kook base. Once they secure their election by playing the electorate for complete and utter fools, then they can safely return to their extreme liberalism, and rely on the various protections that incumbents enjoy, especially from their buddies in the allegedly "unbiased" media.

Thats a great point. The media stopped at nothing to exploit every rumor or dig up any dirt no matter how small on the Republicans.Anyone remember Sara palin and how they smeared her family.I don't mind news on people good or bad but there is no doubt the media went out of their way to exploit the the Republicans and only gave positive praise to the Democrats.Remember how Obama's ties with former domestic terrorist got swept under the rug.Reverned right and his church. His ties with Acorn. Not so much as a mention in the back page of the paper on these issues.Even as I type this the Liberal media has not made so much as a peep on Obamas failure to go to the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall or refusal to meet with the Dali lama.

Actually, Thomas, the GOP would require a change of approximately +40 in the House and +10 in the Senate to reach the break-even point. The current breakdown is:

House-
D - 256
R - 177
(2 current vacancies)

Senate-
D - 58
R - 40
I - 2 (both Independents caucus with the Democrats, giving them a 60-seat, filibuster-proof majority)

The reason Republicans lost so much ground on Capitol Hill over the last few cycles is that they abandoned the conservative principles that made people want to vote for them in the first place, choosing instead to use the Democrat method for holding on to power - give as many goodies as you can to as much of the populace as you can, making them dependent upon government (specifically the "representative" in question), and hope that there aren't very many that notice.

The problem for the Republicans that were engaging in these tactics is that we noticed.

Fox has the highest ratings in the nation for news far exceeding CNN and MSNBC.The reason for this is simple. They ask the hard questions that most stations don't have the guts to.Fox also in not afraid of Political correctness, taking risks,or offending the general public. This is the way news should be.I think Fox news represents the type of news people want to read about.News that is Pro Military,Pro American, and and gives hope instead of the bleak, boring,America sucks outlook that CNN and MSNBC produces on a endless basis.

Yes they have the highest ratings. More American watch Fox than any other news station. That speaks volumes and it's because of the people that Fox has the highest ratings.

Fox News ratings pressure the other news stations to report news driving high ratings. I smell fear. LOL!

That is funny. I did not read what you described as the "definition" of what was said by Obama at all in any of the quotes used.

Spreading wealth is what the government has been doing since it's incept.

Nice try, here too but not correct either. The liberalism that America has been leaning towards lately is in no way extreme liberalism anyway. Nor have any of the politicians voted in been extreme liberals at any level even after getting voted in. And the media bias is a propaganda tool used by the extreme conservatives web and media sites to show a false bias in the media that is not there.

Just curious if those who are on here bashing Fox News have ever watched it - for more than a few minutes I mean...?

The same question for those who do -- are there other ways of getting your information besides Fox News?

It's amazing to me that so many in our great Country can share their beliefs and viewpoints, when in reality they know little about what they claim to believe.

& that is definitely not one-sided...I know many people who are Republican and many who are Democrat; and over the years it's never ceased to amaze me that when asked one simple question, how many honestly have no idea how to answer it (well, where it makes any sense that is...)

"Why do you call yourself a Republican/Democrat?"

-asking it in an online forum such as this will not prove the point at all...because anyone could start googling and just copy/paste their 'beliefs' here.

Perhaps the next time any of you are in a debate with someone in person or over the phone about politics - just throw that question out there.

Then prepare yourself for a few seconds of silence; followed by insisting they do not need to respond to such a question; then followed by their breakdown of why they (and generations before) vote as they do.

It's quite interesting...

(my apologies for getting a little off-topic there)
