Sad, and infuriating, when people support censorship of the media.

This is the sort of thing our forefathers' bled to never see happen again.

It's the sort of thing i would bleed to never see happen as well...

What's the big deal?

Does Coca-cola advertise that the excessive sugar in their soft drink destroy your immune system.... Why does the the cable network have to categorize itself....

Does GM advertise that they cut pensions and "borrowed" money from tax payers, in order to build a substandard car...??????

"Caveat emptor"

I used to feel the same way as you do until I started having debates with people and asked them where they got their skewed ideas.

It came from Fox. So I began to watch it to see what it was that was causing this misinformation.

Fox is not the only cause but being considered "mainstream" it gets more viewers than other right wing propaganda outlets.

I have no issue with them as long as they tell the truth about their "news". It is not fair and balanced.

Neither is anyone else. Their news programs are actually pretty accurate (there are always exceptions, of course) but to go and say that Fox is not news but MSNBC is is both naive and hypocritical.

The tea party protests continued last week, as Congresswoman Michele Bachmann held an anti-health-care-reform rally on the steps of the Capitol. While she estimated that 20,000-45,000 people attended the event, the Washington Post reported it was actually more like 10,000.

Still, that is a sizable number of Americans exercising their right to free speech and assembly, and that warrants news coverage. But Sean Hannity and his team did more than cover the event. They not only inflated the number in attendance with their words, but actually used footage from a heavily-attended protest this summer to make this health care rally appear more popular. Hannity even pointed out that this was a huge crowd for a Thursday, when the protest footage they used was from a Saturday.

Jon Stewart and his team caught this discrepancy and ran with it, pointing out neither the color of the leaves nor sky in the tacked-on video matched that of the actual footage. They went on to mock Fox by adding more video to the interview, this time from Woodstock and the movie "300."

so awesome, and the fact that hannity admitted the error and said it was unintentional.....classic.
It is beyond me that people chose one media outlet for their information.I watch MSNBC and Fox and attempt to find the true reality in all of it.Everything is divide and conquer.

Fox News again accused of airing misleading video

For the second time in just over a week, Fox News is coming under fire for misusing old news footage. The latest flap is leading some people to charge that the cable news network is intentionally misleading its audience, while Fox claims a "production error."

Wednesday's incident occurred when Fox News host Gregg Jarrett mentioned that a Sarah Palin appearance and book signing in Grand Rapids, Michigan had a massive turnout. As footage rolled of a smiling and waving Palin amidst a throng of fans, Jarrett noted that the former Republican vice-presidential candidate is "continuing to draw huge crowds while she's promoting her brand-new book,'' adding that the images being shown were "some of the pictures just coming in to us.... The lines earlier had formed this morning."

However, the video used in the segment was from a 2008 McCain/Palin campaign rally. In response to the minor uproar that arose after clips of Jarrett's report hit the Internet, Fox senior vice-president of news Michael Clemente issued an initial statement saying, "This was a production error in which the copy editor changed a script and didn't alert the control room to update the video."

Fox has the highest ratings in the nation for news far exceeding CNN and MSNBC.The reason for this is simple. They ask the hard questions that most stations don't have the guts to.Fox also in not afraid of Political correctness, taking risks,or offending the general public. This is the way news should be.I think Fox news represents the type of news people want to read about.News that is Pro Military,Pro American, and and gives hope instead of the bleak, boring,America sucks outlook that CNN and MSNBC produces on a endless basis.

Yes they have the highest ratings. More American watch Fox than any other news station. That speaks volumes and it's because of the people that Fox has the highest ratings.

Yes they have the highest rating for the most viewed- so does desperate housewives, the hill, and other reality shows. As for World news reporting-bogus!

If they would present themselves as entertainment for the rightwing Americans with a slight tinge of news it would be more accurate.

FOX News is a Republican misinformation medium.
I am glad someone finally had the guts to point it out.

Robert Murdoch has been battling anti-trust laws and law suits in Australia for years. The only reason he became a US Citizen was because no one that isn't an American is allowed to own an American TV network.

His dabbling in politics is legendary. He is a conservative.

I do that too, I happen to love BBC, news outside of the country about the country gives a more non partisan report most of the time,,not as much vested interests or sponsorship.

checking multiple sources is a great idea too. as well as waiting at least two to three weeks to start accepting reports as FACTUAL or not. It takes that long to start weeding out the sensationalism and opinions and claims and anonymous sources and get to some better researched and more factual information.

I think all the right wingers flock to fox news because they are the one and only pro american propaganda network while we centrists and left of center have many choices to divide us up. From the abc news nbc news and cbs news plus msnbc and cnn, lets face it we are a liberal country with a loud minority of angry right wingers who are trying desperatly to cling to deniel.

If this was true...

Fox would not be the most watched...

Get real.
