Honestly, do men really think that women want to "domesticate" them? I have never heard of such a thing before.

Really? That's all I've ever found! And I've been in a lot of relationships!!

And it's always the same thing -- the girl who says "I love everything about you!" suddenly decides, after 3 months, that she has to CHANGE everything about me. And here comes another domesticatrix.

No thanks....

I know I am not that way, and I am sure there are other women who are not as well. I don't want anyone to try to change me, so I don't try to change them either. Your fear of this happening is actually attracting exactly what you fear the most.

Not anymore it ain't -- I'm done! Since I KNOW there is no one out there who will not try to turn me into a farm animal, I've taken myself off the table -- let them go domesticate somebody else!

sounds like you've dated some moody women...

I get it... I've seen exactly that happen. My friends do it sometimes... I've even done it. "Oh, he would be so great if only he would..." I think it's more about wishful thinking and ignorance than moodiness though. I'm a pretty happy person but have been guilty of falling in love with everything except this or that! ohwell

I guess I could be considered shallow. Obviously, the personality is more important, but I have to be attracted to them in some way too.

I guess I'm rare, I really am just attracted to personality. In my mind personality is what makes a person beautiful.

even when they want to bite someone's brain?laugh

True affection...at least I think so...

eh, maybe i'll bite him somewhere else, i can't bite his brain though. it might muddle his productivity.

Lots of drug/alcohol problems, anyway....

I think it's mainly a control issue. I find it difficult to stay interested in someone for very long, and they tend to try to mold me into what THEY want when they see me losing interest....

EXACTLY! "If only he would...." Usually it's something along the lines of "If only he would settle down and start a family...."

I've never been able to find a woman (with one notable exception) who understood that it wasn't mandatory....

Well, my computer reads to me what's on the screen. I can type just fine, very fast in fact lol. You can adjust the rate of the speech, so people who are sighted laugh when they hear it because it sounds like jibberish, lol. I guess they're making lots of audio electronics for us blindies now, like talking clocks and timers to for cooking and scales in the bathroom. So I've got lots of things in my apartment that talks lol. I do have to listen to what someone might sound like and get to know them, but it's hard to do that when you have a computer reading a profile, but I don't mind. I've dated from the net before, so that's nothing new I guess. But I do read braille. I had a little bit of vision when I was younger, but not enough to read print, but I could see it if it was really big. So I hope that answers your question.
bigsmile Wow, that is cool.bigsmile I am glad that someone has invented a device that can do that so that you can participate.flowerforyou You are very welcome here and I wish you good luck.flowerforyou

I think that's well said. I think the same about someone. If I get along well with them and if they're a wonderful and great person to get along with and love, then it's all said and done for me. So I really like what you said.

For me it's usually something like... if only he'd b**** less or be more outgoing SO THAT he could be the man I settle down with noway But a family man is never mandatory, just a matter of preferance. You just haven't found the woman for you that is in the same frame of mind, stage of life, or wants the same things as you yet... Don't give up, she's out there!

Why thank you. I really appreciate it. Yeah if we didn't have this type of technology, then God my life would be boring. The internet has become such a way of meeting people, and it's cool because people can get to know you for who you are, unless you're really good at playing games. So thanks, I really appreciate it.
