I find that our society needs a reality check on just how dangerous times have become. Check statistics, there is less crime. I would like to know the typical reaction of finding out on a first or initial date that your date was armed. And was not a member of law enforcement or security. so ...maybe is is it normal then you have a date to carry your gun ? I guess that no one prefer their first date to be in the forest or in some deserted place. This is a red flag For me this date will be first and last date. |

To be PERFECTLY honest, I'd probably not say anything and sit through the date, then not talk to them again. I'm a chickensh**. But...But... But... I will let you handle my pistol all you want!!  Just be very careful.. It might go off! Darn, I just saw your age, I am becoming such an old perv. Finally I have become as I have aspired!!! Honestly, though, I've had one of those things pointed at me by a crazy kid before. I've never been able to deal with them since. Funny enough, I love shooting shotguns at targets and stuff, but they're made for hunting. Handguns are made for shooting other people, which gives me the willies.  UMMM.. WRONG!!! My 357 and 44 are both large enough and accurate enough to game hunt with. and seeing handguns as "made for shooting other people" is looking at it very wrong also.. They are made for self protection. In others don't try to harm or rob me.. they are safe. |

The very people that want to take our guns.. Truth,, we hear of new violent crimes almost daily on the news,, not to mention thousands not reported in larger cities because it happens so often, hell there would be nothing but a crime paper and no room for anything else. Welcome to the real world. some of us refuse to live in La La land. I have been a victim, a witness and in a few cases stopped a crime. Sure,,, someone who lives in the boondocks don't hear about all of the crime. Then you just have those people that refuse to read the bad news in the papers or refuse to watch news on TV. Ignoring crime does not make it non existent !! |

Hey now I live in Texas for many years you would see rifle's hanging across the back windows of many trucks. But due to gun laws ect. that is no longer seen here.
Now if I went on a date with someone and realized they were carrying a gun heck yeah first thing I would do is ask why for I would guarantee you I would already know their line of work prior to the date. Therefore would already know if in fact they may be carrying a weapon due to their job. Then most likely would excuse myself to the restroom and find the nearest exit as well. Take down their plate # and call in on it. Hey I still like living and don't feel that anyone should hid such and issue even from a first date.   Red Flag for sure if they had to carry a weapon and they have nothing to do with Law Enforcement of any kind or even similar to that.
