Since so much of what we read on profiles is euphemistic double talk there should be a data base for a translation of profile speak. I've added in the pedia since many people believe anything with pedia added to it (see Wikipedia) cannot be wrong. I'll start.
"Looking for someone goal oriented" = wants someone who has or will have lots of money "Homebody" = usually not interested in any activity of a physical nature. Come on people. Let's see some contributions. Most of us need something like this, especially newbies. |

Since when does goal oriented mean lots of money? I don't think it does either. |

"Disease free"

Since when does goal oriented mean lots of money? I don't think it does either. There are about a dozen profile phrases that can be intepreted as meaning wanting someone with money. In case you are unaware, most people, not all, make financial GOALS as one of their top three priorities. |

Likes finer things = needs money to get
Wants someone ambitious = ambitious enough to work hard to make lots of money Needs someone with a plan in life = A plan to be rich and successful. |

In case you are unaware or living on another planet most people, not all, make financial GOALS as one of their top three priorities. Perhaps I'm on a different planet than you, as to me, "goal oriented" means just that.. looking for someone who has goals. I'm sure they could be financial goals. I'd love to find someone who has set goals for themself. Does that mean I'm looking for someone with lots of money? No. |

But then some do set themselves apart from the crowd. |

Sounds like you're stuck on money issues. Not me... I just would like to cut out all the crap I read on profiles and let people really say what they're looking for. There's nothing wrong with wanting someone rich. Why not just come out and say it instead of using all those silly euphemistic terms. There are quite a few about other things, but it seems as though I'm offending people already. I guess we need to continue to beat around the bush and do the stupid dance. |

You must have talked to all of them, right? To know exactly what they meant when they wrote that in their profiles? |

I'm done arguing about this. You can continue. I stand by what I said and will continue to add to this.
Thanks to those who are making contributions and not arguing with the OP. |
