My favorite Madea Lines:

"If someone shows you who they are,, believe them"

and

"God put some people in our lives for a season and others for a lifetime, learn to tell the difference"

I did like Diary of a Mad Black Woman. It was hilarious but actually meant something too. I appreciate that in a movie.

I'll have to check out his other ones. And I loved Crank too...Jason Statham is the best love laugh

I hated The Game...but that might be mostly to do with Michael Douglas. I cannot stand that guy.

Pan's Labyrinth was amazing. I don't think I've seen a movie like that in North America in years.

I've seen the reviews for Che and will definitely check that one out. The reviews were stellar but I'd rather here it from someone who isn't a snot film critic laugh

Benicio Del Toro is doing that new werewolf movie soon...Wolfman. Have you seen previews? It looks good and I love him.

I have not seen the reviews, although I am sure I will by tomorrow, Del Toro is definitely incredible. And I am certainly not a big fan of Douglas as well... but as a story, it was quite intriguing. Tyler Perry does bring dynamic to a story, although there is more than enough drama in one lifetime to deal with. Without a doubt, intellectual pieces, be it documentary or suspense/mystery films, are much more appreciated than cheap flashy excuses just to entertain. I can imagine of more interesting plots than most of the movies Hollywood has made in the past ten years... of course there have been some good. Mostly foreign or independent flicks, JMO...

"What Dreams May Come"

....somber and sad....horribly romantic....but, every last person who has seen it that I know...have said something to the effect of .."If that really is what the afterlife is about...I wanna be in YOUR heaven!"
