Where the storyline/outcome stuck in my head?

For me, Atonement...

and The Other Boleyn Girl

That has got to be one of my favourite movies....And James McAvoy is awesome!

His best was inside I'm dancing
also love Amille and Momento

OMG I loved Atonement. It broke my heart so much. I read the book first and then I watched it. Keira and James were amazing.

Can you think of a movie that just BLEW you outta the water? Like there was an image in it that you'll never get out of your head? Or it changed how you looked at the world?

I'd say The Last King of Scotland I will never forget. I won't even go into the scene, but I still, after 3 yrs almost can't get it out of my head.

I concur. I watched it only once and it was an amazing movie, but I have no desire to see it again anytime soon.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Mostly because I was on acid the first time I saw it (This was over 10 years ago)

You only watched that movie? Hell me and a couple of friends relieved that movie!!!!

I remember sitting with my mouth open for about 90 minutes the first time I saw the Matrix.

Natural Born Killers made me feel sick. For a long time I didn't like that film. But, then I understood it was supposed to make me feel sick. I can apperciate that.

I also really enjoy Swingers.

The last movie that actually left me thinking was Crash. It was a great story, had really good actors and was definitely a thinker flick.

Transformers 2 ("Death" of Optimums)
Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal skull (Alien close up freaked me out)

I can't think of any more at the moment.

the french movie "Inside", the french really know how to make a good horror flick, not some mindless 'make you jump' kind. "High Tension" is another one :)

Talking about French sleepers: Try "Look At Me" (Or Look At Me Now?)

Taling about small-budget blockbusters: Hundstage (Austria, German with subbies) and Away from Home (Israel). In the latter I completely misunderstood the ending, and "my" version (by mistake, or by the error I made in folling the movie) made it into a phenomenally good movie.

These days I'm into post-war (fifties and sixties) American and English suspense: Ipcress Files, The Day Of The Jackal, Point Blank, Charade... all good movies. They had momentum, beginning to end, they had plott, they had you sitting at the edge of you butt. (I just made this up.)

Léon aka The Professional (1994) with Jean Reno was one great film.

A lot of Chow Yun Fat movies from his early days were great, way better than anything he's done in the past 10 years.

The Game (1997) w/ Penn & M. Douglas, excellent.

who can forget the powerful films such as Casualties of War (1989) or Schindlers List (1993)? Even the recent Pan's Labyrinth (2006) was quite exquisite, definitely beyond my expectations.

Che (part one) The Argentine and (part two) Guerrilla (2008) [with Benicio Del Toro] are a must see.

I hated The Game...but that might be mostly to do with Michael Douglas. I cannot stand that guy.

Pan's Labyrinth was amazing. I don't think I've seen a movie like that in North America in years.

I've seen the reviews for Che and will definitely check that one out. The reviews were stellar but I'd rather here it from someone who isn't a snot film critic laugh

Benicio Del Toro is doing that new werewolf movie soon...Wolfman. Have you seen previews? It looks good and I love him.
