I was getting a happy-high during the entire movie "Snatch". I just could not believe how good that movie was. Intricate storyline, well-acted characters. Funny and manly and just so. It took me four times to watch it to realize that there are four completely independent threads in the movie that keep joining, and some seemed to have joined, but they hadn't yet, but of course it all gets tied up neatly in the end.
A movie that shook me out of my pants was "Lives of Others". That movie just kept building and building... and it literally blew everyone out of their seats. I could not have done it so well without Beethoven's help... A movie that took me back to my childhood fantasies before I discovered sex as such was Alice. By Woody Allen. And lotsa others... these are the three most recent "blow-outs" I've had. |
