She answered badly...she stumbled...

This question could not have been a surprise haha

Additionally...there was every chance she would have selected a different question. What if she answered that one badly too?

I imagine the vast liberal gay conspiracy folks made sure the daft blond heifer selected that question just so they could create a right wing martyr who would be the perfect example of right wing hate! Oh oh...just so the liberals could...

HA HA HA

Give me a break.

they do NOT know before hand the question because they want to see how well they can handle answering questions in press conferences etc.

who is to say she didn't stumble because she was caught of guard because of the question

why blame her for answering her opinion for a question that wasn't fair

"I think that I believe"

Too funny.laugh

She either believes or she doesn't. Instead...she thinks that she believes in.....

Poor girl doesn't know what she believes.

do you think it's easy to be put on the spot like thaton national tv knowing whatever answer she gave she could have caused a fuss????

Holy Crap, no way, that is not what I meant at all, Isaac... Well wait, let's take the superior out of there, and let's just leave the intuition part, would that be ok? All I am saying is that because I am homosexual I might hear something that would not even raise your eyebrow. Can we agree on that?

Sure if you can also agree that what it is you 'might' hear is something that you might be 'inserting'/'reading' wrong based on your own individual experiences.

And no I don't think because you are homosexual that you have any more intuition than the person sitting next to you.

Some people actually do have intuition others don't but I am not here to discuss intuition. I am sorry, on this one I can not say I was inserting or reading wrong. AGain I was raised christian, I know what is taught, I know those phrases, and believe me I have been in this same conversation in real life. In another situtation I might agree that my own experience colors my judgement, but not this time.

everyone has their opinions and their right to their opinions. Miss CA gave her opinion to a question that is a double edge sword

and was punished for it.....I have a problem with that. No matter what side of the issue she was on...she shouldn't have been punished for her opinion.

I am with you on that one for sure. But again do we know it was the question that lost it for her? If it was just the question than I feel for her, and Perez would be answering for that. Unfortunately this could go badly for both communities. And all the familiar arguments will be rekindled all over again. I want Perez's ass for this even if it wasn't the question that lost it for her. Why, because it started something it should not have.

boo...from the quotes i found even he says it lost it for her

Was he the final judge of the whole competition? If he was, that sucks, period.

Haven't you ever question some of your beliefs? And I'm not talking about sexual orientation.

no boo....not the final judge but he knows how the judges judge (wow that's alot of judge words lol)

i know first hand how these work. I have been a judge for pageants and dance/talent competitions for years (retired from all of that now) and I have choreographed for the good and the stagemoms/diva contestants. I've seen the politics in it and the behind the scenes which is why I got out of it before I went off on people. most of the time the judges at the table don't know the qustion the host/judge is asking because they want to see how articulate someone is and how they can handle interviews/

it's bad enough with pageants when they are very young through teens and even worse in the big leagues

Dear Boo2U

4 states approve gay marriage! I know in my country they approve gay marriage! It is a start for a long and hard fought battle. Don't give up okay!

That is why I liked presidential elect Kucinivich so much. He was for gay marriage! Just imagine if he would have been the president. What that would have done for the gay community as of other things in my opinion would have been great.

Marriage doesn't have to be of Christian values either you know. There are over 4000 religions and spiritual idealogies that celeberate such an occassion when two people fall in love.

Have a good night.smile2 I am tired nowasleep

Problem is I would have expected that answer from you, Crickster. You don't know what I believe, hell you can't even get what I believe when I am actually telling you what I believe. So our chat is kinda useless wouldn't you say?

Actually yes Crickster, I have questioned my christian beliefs since I was 5 years old, and any beliefs I gathered along the way I questioned as well. I am celebate, so my sexual orientation means nothing to me. My whole life is based on my interactions with people, both straight and gay, mostly straight.

I would have said something alright but it would not have been what any one was expecting.. I am such a cut up .... Yes I suspec that question would have gagged anyone. Still ticked that it was asked.

Too bad you can't see how your experiences clouds your judgement. Go ahead, tell yourself you know exactly what other peoples words represents. Apply it across the board as you do. You are not fooling me. I got a lot from our chat.

Actually you got very little out of our chat, crickster because right here you have missed the point. I will say it yet again, My comments were on the words themselves. I can only comment on the words she chose to describe her views.. if they were her views in reality.

Were her words were her own, or was she saying what her parents would have expected of her. In fact if she actually believe marriage should be between a man and a woman I have no problem if she actually believes that. Now, does that mean I should automatically believe that should be the correct way to believe? If it had been me, I might very well, at her age, said exactly what my parents would have expected of me, and words similar to hers because that is the way I WAS RAISED.

I know what the words represent, the same thing they represent to you and what you are agruing about. The christian view of marriage. They aren't just other peoples words. I have heard them for years in the christian religion, why the heck would I not know them and what they represent?

Do you get what I am saying now?

I really have no problem with what you are saying, the poor kid didn't have a chance in hell. She has her parents to live up to, her judges, the audience. I can imagine the pressure, and then to have that question asked. I will never ever understand why that question had to be asked. That being said, I could not help but comment on what she did say, but that seems to be what got me in so much hot water with those who are on the other side of this argument. Does that mean I will stop expressing myself. Hell no! I know what to expect, and I will take my chances.
