Well, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, but as you know absolutely nothing about me other than what you've seen here, I don't think your uninformed opinion carries very much weight.

You might also be interested to know it's against the rules to attack another member of the site the way you just did!

If I were you, I would stop and wonder why anything I've said bothers you to the point that you had to make this post. I think that says a whole lot more about you and your motivations than it says about me.

Me too! And I have rewritten/edited my profile because of it. I'm sure it's still HILARIOUS but these guys are nice enough to treat fellow M2ers with kid gloves. What's not to like?

OK, let's not get into the issue of who's overstepping, but the fact remains I have been on this site for 2 1/2 years, and MOST of the people I've dealt with here -- the ones I have dealt with on a personal level, whether through the forums, e-mail, IM, or phone calls -- get the joke behind what I'm doing here.

I'm sorry you don't seem to, but I really don't think that's my fault, and it most certainly is not my problem.

The profiles I use in this thread are from other sites, and no individual person who wrote them is ever identified or identifiable.

I really don't have any concern over how you (or anyone else) might interpret my need to be "more of an adult" (that terminology doesn't mean anything to me, anyway, as I think I'm basically as adult now as I'm ever going to get) -- you're not me, you haven't lived my life, and it's remarkably presumptuous of you to think it's OK for you to go around lecturing strangers regarding things you know nothing about.

My "sense of character" is fine, and I'll make improvements on my own terms (or not) as I deem it necessary. No input from you (or anyone else) is asked for or required.

And I really don't care about whether other people think I'm smart or not. Please understand, I'm a professional writer, and this site is a great outlet for me. And the audience, as it were, has been, in the main, quite appreciative and receptive. It works for me, and I think it works for most of them. I can't please everybody, and I don't care to try.

Again -- if you don't like what I write, please feel free to ignore it. But don't go around attacking people in the forums -- it's against the rules, and it will not help you here.

And it may be a good idea to review your writing before you post.
