In summary of this thread so far, for people who don't feel like reading the long drawn out posts; States rights+racists=tinfoil hats I don't get it either but i'm sure there is a long drawn out explanation on the matter.  I'll tell you exactly what this is. It's an 8 page, textbook example of how yelling RACISM!!! long enough and loud enough can put an end to any conversation on topics liberals don't want discussed. Big Central Government types like our beloved D don't like the idea of any power being taken away from the Fed Gov and being taken back by the hand of the people because everyone knows people that want to govern themselves are all RACIST!!! That is very funny but very misled. I look at something and try to see all points of view. If I see something that the racists will like or are pushing, I call it. I still don't understand from a group of non racists why this would be problem. If I see a possible furtherment of a racist agenda and you do not, so be it. The racists are loving this movement, you can be sure of that, just the idea of being able to separate from a black president has to make them drool. The movement is ludicrous from a political stand point anyway. I am with Fanta on this one. It is hypocritical, it has no teeth other than sucession or civil war which is craziness to begin with. So it is just craziness. |

to be honest with you dragoness, i haven't dug into the subject of the states seceding yet, but i will make it a priority and i promise you that what ever conclusion i come to will not be based on the color of anyone's skin. to me that would be shallow minded and just plain ludicrous. people of all races have their good and their bad and if a bad one, no matter what color, is in the office then i won't feel secure about them. that won't mean that i will un-date all of the african american women that i have dated and that won't mean that i will not be friends with all of the african american men and women that i have befriended. you have to realize that there are plenty of people that aren't racist that see a problem with this administration and pretty much most of them for the last 60 years. please don't push these people into being grouped as racists just because racists happen to agree with some of their points.
