?????? how is this racial??? AND for the record....there was a guy from Hawaii back when this was justsayhi that claimed they wanted out How else can it be explained? I disliked Bush to the max, but I was proud to be American still. I would not have talked of not becoming an American citizen because of him. People hated Clinton for much of the same "policies" of Obama but noone talked of secession. It is just coincidence you say then? Strange coincidence, I say. people talked about it in here during Bush...come on just because someone doesn't like Obama they are racist????? wow that's a stretch i told the guy from Hawaii the same thing you do...i told him good luck and don't expect america to bail you out Understood about the guy. But is it not strange that this is coming up in the face of the first black president? Bush took this country down the toilet literally and no talk like this and now suddenly American citizens want to be out of the Union? Drastic and severe don't ya think? Fueled by hatred, I bet. so you ASSUME they have to be racist???? what if the people aren't white and want to discuss leaving???? seriously listen to yourself. you assume way too much I did no such thing as assuming. I said I have to wonder if it is not racially motivated. How do you know the basis or the people driving it are not racists? You do not know that. Racists exist in this country and they are political. So they could very well have picked this as a stand for them on their racial issues. If they can get people to buy into it on less obvious rhetoric like the statements of soveriegnty and get a following then they will further their racist ideals without anyone knowing better. |

perhaps its about the state....trinyg to reagain control of their own state and not be dictated to by Obama.
perhaps these states actually sense that we are in horrid trouble...and Obama is doing things that will make things WORSE in the longrun. racist..omg...come up with another argument pulez |

I have to say I think this issue is racial and my reasoning for this is that all who hated Bush did not talk of secession, they were still proud to be Americans, just did not like Bush at all.
is what you said.... not hmmmmm I wonder if this could be racial. of course there are racists in this country. you'd have to be blind not to know that. but you don't know why either but yet you go straight to thinking it's racial again WOW |

Your racist and hate card will no longer work here. The magic is gone, poof! 20 States and more are waking up and seeeeein' da light. Can I have an Amen!?! Imagine if all but DC decide to do the thing. It'd be the politicians who want to socialize us, that will have to provide papers to cross State lines. Amen. We will be the Proud States united against the Obama tyranny. Can I have a big Hallelujah, Brothas and Sistas!?!?! |

I really wish people would quit crying racism..
State governors don't want to unravel welfare reform.. must be racist.. I didn't vote for Obama. i must be a racist.. I like shooting guns, driving trucks, and watching nascar.. I must be a racist.. I'm tired of liberal socialists calling themselves 'progressives'.. I must be a racist. I like my bread with the butterside up.. I MUST be a racist! There's nothing racially motivated about the many stateshaving already passed their own version of a resolution affirming the 10th amendment.. People are just tired of the federal government lording the power of givernment over everyone and clearly overstepping the bounds of the constitution.. but... they must all be racist... |

I still think it is a racist ideal motivated by racial hatred and until I see different I will continue to think this way. If you all buy into it not being racial, that is your right.
I know that there are plenty of racists still in this country and they are working double time now that a minority has been elected. If anyone fools themselves into believing otherwise that is on them. Secede from the US. No longer be US citizens then if that is what you want to do. It is no skin off my nose, I know that here in Colorado we will not be seceding. I am proud, too proud of an American to entertain the idea of secession from this great nation. |

Don't act like you do. And I will say again this has to be racially motivated because no other people would think in such drastic lines unless they had hate motivating them. I have the right to think, wonder, ask, state, say, or post it in a big sign in my yard if I want to that I think that this movement is racially motivated. I am too proud to be an American to secede from this great country and become a non citizen and only hatred could motivate someone to think along these lines. My opinion as always. |

no one's talking secession.. no one's renouncing citizenship.. just the states reclaiming their own right to self government..
but entire state legislatures are racist... |

this actually could be the kind of REAL change that could do our country some good

My poor, poor, misinformed one. As I said, your magic has no more power. You might start looking for another State to move to. Seems Colorado is eyeballing following suit. Pennsylvania State Rep Sam Rohrer dicusses: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8bbrXnYJOo The State of Washington on Wednesday - 11 February 2009 and most recently, New Hampshire, Montana, Hawaii, Michigan, Missouri, Arizona, Oklahoma, Georgia, and California all of which have introduced bills and resolutions declaring and reaffirming their sovereignty. Additionally, the states of Colorado, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine, and Illinois are considering similar measures. More well may follow, such as Wyoming and Mississippi. Do you see Colorado listed there? I do. Can I get a great big Praise Th Lord!?!?! Amen and Hallelujah!!!! |

no one's talking secession.. no one's renouncing citizenship.. just the states reclaiming their own right to self government.. but entire state legislatures are racist... I guess if you say so..... You have the right to your opinion also. Considering that alot of political agendas are racially motivated or cater to racists and the people who support them sometimes do not even know that is what they are supporting, it is always something to think about. I will not ever back a racist ideal if I can identify it as such. I think that this may be one so it will not have my backing unless I can identify it otherwise. |

Aw, I found it. It is a Republican movement, no wonder...lol
Republican party is full of racists. You guys have no stance on this subject anymore. Republican party is behind this movement. You know from experience how the Republican Party is, right? Republican equals racist pretty much, sorry if that offends, it is my experience with them talking of course. I am currently writing my representatives right now about this republican movement and how it is probably racially motivated and how I do not support it. Thanks folks for helping me out here. |
