Blessings...Miles There are TONS of contradictions and errors in the bible. There have been so many posted on this forum alone, I cant even count.   I shouldn't be, but I'm still amazed at the lengths people will go to explain away the contradictions, errors and historical inaccuracies found in the bible. |

Well you think wrong...Christ never rejected OT Law. He rejected money changers at the house of the Lord. Sometimes I wonder where in the heck you get your information from. When Jesus stopped the stoning of Mary for example...He was asking the people those without sin cast the first stone...For the simple fact that no one not one is sinless except Christ. So again you have taken scripture and twisted it to fit your beliefs. It is not God nor Jesus that stones people it is the people. And what about the people and what they did to Jesus....I don't see you bringing that one up...Talking about an injustice...They let a murderer go and killed a sinless man......go figure. The Laws were the laws like it or not Krisma it was what it was at the time. Just like throughout history we night not like how things were done but it will never change the fact that indeed that was how it was in that particular time. And tell me something Krisma how many people get wrongly convicted and go to prison. Exactly......so no difference. How many people have been put to death her were innocent...... It is really easy to misinterpret anything in the Bible if your just looking for fault. Your not reading it as it was intended to be read...therefore you are doing for your own agenda instead of as God's teachings, Christ teachings and the Disciples teachings. Check out this site. http://www.bidstrup.com/bible.htm The author, Scott Bidstrup, gives a really good historical perspective. There are no contradictions only people's misunderstanding of what they are reading. I know you mean well but this guy is trying to sell books to gay people. Paul was called a Pharasee of Pharasees. We see Paul sacraficing in acts 21. He speaks of the Law often. Paul was not gay as this guy suggests. He says he is open that is why he can show these things. He uses Yahweh throughout the OT.. Then in the NT he gives for names for the messiah he says they were called then. Remember the letter J did not appear untill the KJV 1500 years later. He is no expert at all. He is trying to appeal to the gay population to give them fire power towards the churches.. He is pretty slick i will give him that. But in the 1st century thier was no NT. and all scripture they use and even say it is good for correction is the OT. And if i remember right wasn't Lois Pauls Mother in law. People are good at twisting things especially if it will inflate thier poctet book...Blessings...Miles |

Directed at OP How do we know you have read the bible? I asked you about some of those misogynist passages and you acted confused and said you "would need to place me in contact with a female Christian."  I was not confused, I saw that you was reaching out for help and i thought a woman would be of more help. Ask again i will try to help you. EPHESIANS 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. I wasn’t asking you for "help" I rattled off a few passages from the bible that were directed at women and quite hateful and you insisted that you weren’t sure about that but that you could "put me in touch with a female Christian." My question is how can we know that you have read the bible at all when you didnt recognize those passages? If you want answers to something just ask I read the bible what do want to know. You took the verses out of context. People in the bible did some evil things, God didn’t. You have to be saved to understand the full meaning of it until then all you will understand for sure is that Jesus Christ died to save you from your sin. I read the bible, asked questions, and when they weren't answered began looking elsewhere. Consider this... For some conservative catholic scholars, the earth and the universe was created 5199 B.C. while some conservative Protestant scholars understand this event was in 4004 B.C. (from the bible's internal chronology) Astrophysicists understand from data compiled by the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope that the earth is 4 billion years old and the universe is 14 billion years old. If the Bible has the age of the earth and universe wrong what else does it have wrong? Archaeology and geology reveals there never was a Garden of Eden or Adam and Eve, nor was there ever in the earth's geologic history a universal Noah's Flood, and the Exodus -as portrayed in the Bible- is fiction according to the findings of archaeology. People don't want to hear stuff like this, though. Because then they'd have to consider the possiblity that the bible is inaccurate. And if it's inaccurate..was it really written by God? (from the bible's internal chronology) Astrophysicists understand from data compiled by the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope that the earth is 4 billion years old and the universe is 14 billion years old. If the Bible has the age of the earth and universe wrong what else does it have wrong? Archaeology and geology reveals there never was a Garden of Eden or Adam and Eve, nor was there ever in the earth's geologic history a universal Noah's Flood, and the Exodus -as portrayed in the Bible- is fiction according to the findings of archaeology. People don't want to hear stuff like this, though. Because then they'd have to consider the possiblity that the bible is inaccurate. And if it's inaccurate..was it really written by God? And so on..... Like I said....I shouldn't be, but I'm still amazed at the lengths people will go to explain away the contradictions, errors and inaccuracies in the bible. Read Gen 1 again. it does not say the earth is made then. it says the earth was void and with out form and chaos was on the earth. everything had died. Just as science says or at least most had. Then Gen 2 :4 says this is the history of when Yahweh created the heavens and the earth. This was a recreation of a world that had basically died.
