When my ex smoked it, he ended up blacking out and choking me, I had fingerprint bruises on my neck the next day. Funny too, I didn't say a word to him, he just walked across the room and grabbed me by the throat. Had a totally empty look in his eyes, "no one was home" obviously. I was able to push him off and he stumbled backwards and just walked away and went over to the couch and fell asleep. It was totally bizarre.

Wow, that is just complete insanity. That man's got serious mental issues... I am so sorry you had such an experience.

He did have major problems. I did finally get away from him and he finally drank himself to death at the "ripe old age" of 45. Life with him was a nightmare.

Guess that is why I choose not to drink or do any kind of drugs, have seen the worst of it all, everything from him pulling guns and knives on me to the choking incident. Prefer clean and sober all the way. My preferences anyways. flowerforyou

Thank you for your kind words.flowerforyou

His choice to use alcohol and whatever drugs he used caused him to die young, he missed out on his daughter growing up, I raised her by myself from the time she was 5 y/o, he maybe visited her 3-4 times, and was always drunk or hungover, never followed through on his promises to her. She was 18 when he died. He never got to see his grandkids, etc. It was his choice, he went through treatment 3 times, always chose to go right back into the abuse, come out of treatment and hit using the same day again. Oh well, his choice, his loss. I have 2 beautiful grandkids that will never have to know his drunken rages, so they are better off for it in the long run.

Gino is still alive, and he is quite a catch, that is if u can hold onto him. He working, still boinking, and drinking away somewhere in Texas.....

Recently, after years of not hearing from him, he came out of the closet, and contacted me.
Get this...he never said he wanted me back, he just thought it would be nice to get in touch. Well after I blasted him for all the junk over the years, he signed off...I was still sore from all the lying, cheating, drugs, and drinking. Can ya blame me? ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I can tell you I got all my drug information that I have shared on Mingle2.com from him. I will tell you more tomorrow.    pitchfork

I would make my child do research on what it is that their doing, make them write about the side effects and damage their occurring, and perhaps make them watch a film about it, change who they hang with, and always check their belongings, and ground them.

Matter of fact, yes. Here is your reading assignment:

I do not smoke or drink myself, but no one has the legitimate right to tell me (an adult) what I can or cannot put into my body (even if they put on a fancy outfit and call themselves "the government"). Besides, you're FAR more likely to be killed by a drunk driver than a pothead-the reason alchol isn't banned anymore is that the state can tax it (like good little fascists).

BUT we aren't talking about you. we are talking about our kids. and if it effects others..like alcohol and drugs because it changes who you are...then it's protecting those around you

But...this thread is about what a parent would do if they found out that their child is smoking pot.

A parent has the legitimate right to tell their child what they can or cannot put into their body.

letting your kid down a whole bag of sugar isn't as bad as letting them eating rat poisoning...but I'm not going to let him do either one of those

letting your kid play in the street unsupervised isn't as bad as letting him play in rush hour traffic...but I won't allow either of those
