I want a help mate. Too bad I'm not a guy. I can't get one. Maybe I should become a lesbian. Nah, they aren't always helpful either, no sense in going out of your way.. lmao |

I would not have left my children in that church that is for sure. Then I would have taken legal action if it appropriate and legal. Me too. I would sue them in a heartbeat. |

Going to any church, for me would be as horrible as having to watch little house on the prairie all morning. Damn, how did you know what all my neighbors watch all day? Now that's scarey!!! |

I didn't know that. That's interesting. So..I looked it up for St. Louis: http://stlouiscatholic.blogspot.com/2007/06/old-latin-mass-makes-comeback.html We have a few churches starting it up again - even the head coverings. The first time in 40 years! We have a lot of older people here. The main church that they are talking about has a high Hispanic population. Go to the bottom of the page and see how pretty that church is. My cousin was married there. That is absolutely beautiful. I love churches like that. There are two churches out here (when I say out here I mean one is 45 minutes from me and the other is an hour and half) that offer the Tridentine Latin Mass. That Mass truly is the most beautiful thing. I attend the Novus Ordo Masses close to me due to convenience and it's just not the same. I love the architect of old churches too. I don't know what Novus Ordo Masses are. |

Personally, the singing part was what I always liked the best. I really enjoy singing and that was the one place I always knew I'd get to do it. But then the long waits in between songs was pretty boring. I have met a few cute girls/women at church over the years though, so that was another good part.
I wonder if a person started attending services on a regular basis and never made any move to join or tithe or even put anything in the plate if they would be approached and asked to make a commitment or to stop coming. Another thing I hate about church is singing those church songs. If I had to do such things I would rather just shoot myself. I don't see any advantages in it at all. None. I like the singing part too. This new church that I go to has lots of instruments playing and upbeat music. My child calls it the happy church. It's the Joyful service of a Lutheran church. |

The only thing I REALLY ever liked about church was the singing. It was the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Sure, I can sign anywhere. But there is something different about singing with a group of people. |

I don't know what Novus Ordo Masses are. It's the New Order of the Mass. The Mass you would hear now in any Catholic Church - the one they came up with in the 1960's and now say in the common language instead of in Latin. |

It seems to me that if you are a practicing Satanist, arent you basically a Christian? I mean you are buying into half of their beliefs. I have no idea what Satanism entails exactly. Ive never been interested in it enough to investigate or read up on it. I read parts of the Satanic bible once and know a woman who is a Satanist. For me, it was a meaningless existence. They are all about gratifying your every human desire and that's it. That's what life is all about. Indulging in whatever you want to indulge in to feel good. It's just not for me. If I'm not mistaken, Satanists do not actually worship Satan. I'm not sure about that. From what I understand and what I've read about it, it got started as a revolt against the whole idea of sacrificing the self that the Bible teaches. I'm pretty sure the founder and original group that really got it's start had some experiences with the type of Christian churches who teach that anything that is enjoyable must be sinful and that anything that if for oneself is also a sin. You have to buy into Christianity to turn around and say I'm going to deliberately set out to do the fundamental opposite of it's basic premiss (to serve God and to serve others) and to chose Satan as a figure head in opposition to Jesus. |

Yes, they have some similarities with their ceremonies. But..there are some BIG differences in practice. I agree. I was only talking about the ritual/ceremony part of it. Yes, there's similarities there but no Latin. My child was baptized in an Episcopalian church. One of my Catholic friends couldn't believe how similar it was to the Catholic baptisms. One big difference with the Lutherans is that they don't kneel. Not true. I attended a Lutheran church that DID kneel. Just not as much, from what I hear. |

I haven't seen that in St. Louis. |
