I still haven't seen a response as to how it protects you. You're arguing without having any rational reason other than he must afford a hotel/motel to meet me but if he lives 3 doors away it's totally kosher. I'm not seeing it. |

 Wow! I'm not sure where the $500.00 came in and 50 bucks a night to stay in a hotel. We have one motel here, the Lamplighter Inn, costs about 25 bucks a night, but it is off season right now, the manager might make ya a deal!  At any rate, I've moved on. This topic has now lasted longer than the on-line relationship with the dude in question.  I appreciate your input. Let's all agree to disagree on this one.

Hahaha I do realize you made the thread, and I'm glad you were able to find the answers you were seeking from your posting. However, your thread did evolve and numerous questions did come up.
I do realize that motels or hotels can change on location, I was going by the typical ones I've encountered in my life. Also a 25.00 a night stay is really really cheap and although that may seem like a good alternative if you don't have a lot of money I'd say most people would shy away from the cheapest and try to go mid range such as a 2 star or 3 star in case the relationship does evolve. I mean I doubt someone would want to go back to a place that is in really bad shape you know? Eh it's just me and my thinking. |

Oh, I forgot.. if you don't think something should be considered a date, no one should. For me, it would be a matter of not wanting someone to stay in my house if I've never met them before. The town where I live has a very small, pop., about 2500, we have a Casey's here, one grocery store and a Sonic, and of course the Lamplighter Inn. This town, I might also mention, is the childhood home of Walt Disney. It's about as wholesome at they come. I would never ask someone to stay some place where I, myself, would not be comfortable staying. |

It's not like I could've known that haha. If a hotel or motel in NYC or NJ was 25 bucks a night I guarentee crack is the main reason why.
