I have learned that we often see in another what we are uncomfortable with or dislike about ourselves. I have also learned that when we grow to accept this about ourselves, we often develop compassion and understanding for others we recognize as wounded in the same way.

I have learned that I am helpless and cannot control the patterns ingrained in me. I have learned that I cannot do this a lone and without being continually shown and reminded of where I get off track. I have learned that losses never ever really go away. They hurt just as much tonight as they did 10 years ago. I have learned losses and disappointments simply get replaced with healthy good times, good friends, and good memories.
