Oh wow I watched a movie about Fredie's life. It was great, but very sad to me. Maybe I watched it on a bad day.

On YouTube are several segments on Freddie's life, with his Mother and his Sister being interviewed.....I find his life to be absolutely facinating.........ending sadly, yes....but he was so brilliant....right from childhood...

GOD MADE ADAM AND EVE.....NOT ADAM AND STEVE!

and people ARE NOT born gay....how idiotic!

Show your scientific evidence of this. Do you really think that most people WANT to be gay? Do you know how hard a lot of gay people have just living day to day without being ridiculed or judged? Do you think people LIKE feeling like that? My cousin is gay and has been that way his WHOLE life. He didn't realize it of course, but my mother said she always knew. You need to wake up and smell the coffee!

There have been studies. Some of them were twin studies. There have also been CAT-scans of the brain.

Unfortunately I only have dial up right now where I moved, so youtube would be painfully slow if it loaded at all.

I do agree he was a brillian performer and a tortured soul ultimately. But I wonder about something you said earlier. You said you were harrassed by people calling you against homosexuals, yet he was a flaming homosexual. Far more permicuous than all of the gay people I have known, counting them on my hands.

I know about the love the sinner not the sin thing, but putting that aside for a moment.. why would you be against homosexuals if you find him so facinating I wonder? Is your objection religiously based? Do you know any gays other than Fredie? Not wanting a fight here, just curious.

Twin studies, is that a study of twins? I am giggling right now, thinking of having my brain scanned to find out why I have chosen my path in life. That would be one messed up scan.. lmao

Speaking of twins, I have a twin brother who WAS gay, but couldn't hack how people treated him, so he married a woman that didn't require sexual contact. He never told her he was gay. I always thought that was unfair to his wife, but not my place to inform her, that was way back in the 70's. Who knows how his life would have turned out had he been able to be who he was in this life.

Ah, life is so strange....

When I found out that he too was celibate, I though wow, maybe I was actually gay myself and never knew it. I assumed that I chose it because the alternative... living with a man... was so unappealing on so many levels that choosing women was just a logical choice.

I never felt the need to be shrunk to find out why because being gay was the best thing that ever happened to me since and now.

Now before you guys assume I hate men, I DO NOT HATE MEN, O actually get allong with most men, and women. I JUST THINK YOUR TOO MUCH WORK.. LOL.

um those could happen even without gay marriage....in fact families are destroyed daily by divorce and such and the ice caps started melting long before gay marriage became an issue...

um.. read the chart again hon' ohwell

As soon as I stopped trying to hide who I am, I started being happier. I was actually quite miserable being "straight".

I knew I was gay around 15 years old. I did my best to keep it a secret because of all the flak that gays get. I mean if I were born "straight"
would I have had (and yes these are things that I asked for at christmas and birthdays):

1 my little pony collection

2 cabbage patch kids

3 spent most of my time with girls

oh and

4 made out with guys, every chance I got?

I am gay and that is life, I did not choose it as some would try to make me think. My family supports me as do my real friends, and to me that is what counts.

Mind you I also liked to fix bikes and had several bikes.

oh oh let's not forget my carebear collection!

Good for you for not hiding out. I have never hid in my entire life, but then I was a stubborn young woman back then. I never got much flak from anyone really, not like others have. I think it was my attitude. I was comfortable with myself, and never gave anyone the chance to make any remarks. I think attitude helps. I don't mean attitude as being mean, just self assured in a way that doesn't allow people to take the opportunity to say anything ignorant. At least to my face.

I wish my own brother could have felt more comfortable with his own choice at the time. He had to hide it for 10 years in the service. I will never know that kind of anxiety thankfully. There are alot more gays out there than anyone knows, one day they will all come out and hopefully no one will every have to experience that kind of isolation again. I hope I live to see that...

When Freddie performed and sang.... he did not "flame"......he did not promote homosexuality on stage or when he sang (he did 'poke fun' and did dress on the wild side when he first started out...but his parents did not know about his homosexuality until close to the end...and ABOUT the only time he openly talked about it was a while after he discovered he had aids and admitted in a video that I viewed "I got promiscuous, and that is what happens when you become promiscuous"......I wish you could view the videos of LIVE AID......he was fantastic and stole the show......

My favorite pic of Freddie.....one that most people do not relate to....his thoughtful, quiet, personal side.

AGAIN...LOVE the sinner HATE the sin....people just do NOT GET IT...it is NOT hard to understand

YES! I know gays and lesbians......but I do not flaunt my friends' sexuality around to others.....but they know how I feel about it.....

I get the love the sinner hate the sin, but it is only a sin to some people. For me it is not a sin to love someone with all my heart. If you can't love me for who I am, being gay included then I don't need that kind of love. I am happy being loved by the people who have accepted that i am gay and love me anyways.

My mom has only one wish, that I find a guy that will treat me right and be there for me.

In my heart I do not feel that it is a sin to love someone regardless of their gender.

BTW I was using the term "you" in a general form lol i wasnt directly aiming it at Lindyy.

I edited my post as I felt that one of the things I said was incorrect to say and didn't wish to offend or upset anyone so I altered it.

I know it was not directed at me..... BUT,does not my love for Freddie show that I love the PERSON, but not the sin?

I do admit I cannot tolerate the "gay parades", just as much as I do not like prostitution and heterosexuals pornography.....

and explain how that is relative to the discussion

religion has no place in dictating law of the land

that is why the first amendment says what it says

so when you find a non god point then maybe it will be relative

I do not believe gay marriage should be legal...
I just believe in the traditional values where marriage is between a man and a woman. Marriage should be between a man and a woman that is the way I was raised and that is the way things should be. Life was better when family’s were more tightly fit and gay marriages only make things worse. Let’s face it, who was responsible for starting the tradition of marriage?... It wasn’t the gay community.

are you saying your wants are more important than the rights of another

per the constitution

that is like me saying i do not want a ruby team to be legal because i am not interested nor know any one that plays it

democracy ie the WANTS of the majority TRAMPLING the RIGHTS of the minority

and the u s is not a democracy for that very reason
