Yes it is exuasting dealing with people who either hate Christians or just want to pick a fight with one.
What about those that simply want to ask questions and reasonably debate your responses? I didnt hear you explain what category you would lump them into exactly? They will never agree with anything you say,
Do I have to agree with everything you say? I certainly would never expect another human to agree with everything I say. Instead, I would merely request that they hear me out and then offer a conscientious rebuttal. "if you were a Christian you wouldn't do this and you wouldn't do that.Your not a real Christian blah,blah".
Im not certain what you expect me to feel as to how it relates to the behavior of a "real Christian." I would only have the Crusades and the Witch hunts to go on. It would be nice if I could surround my self with other Christians
Clearly no one is stopping you but then you must realize you will also be surrounding yourself with others who think and feel just as you do and will never question you or your beliefs. They will have little interest in asking you to examine your surroundings or exercise critical thinking skills. Thoughtful debate, on the other hand, will often lead to breakthroughs in creative thought between both dissenting parties. The Christian lifestyle is also difficult to live.No drugs,no getting drunk,no sleeping around,no picking fights,no smoking or cusing like a sailor
I also do no drugs, I do not drink, I certainly do not sleep around, I dont pick fights, and I do not use fowl language to excess. I also do not feel the need to unnecessarily stereotype people. However, I am not a Christian. Do you truly believe that the Christians own a a patent on these behaviors?

I was not talking about this place.I was generalizing what I see in my own life with real people I have met.

I do not think Christians own a patent on these behaviors but I certainly think they practice them more than most people. |

Against what? Christianity? Im not against it. Being against something would require that I engage myself or put some sort of effort into it. I simply do not adhere to the religion. My educational background has given me a basic understanding of its origins and what it is exactly.
Its akin to knowing that Santa Claus does not exist and not only that, Santa is actually a very horrible mean spirited old man who wields a sword and is most intolerant of his fellow humans. No, Im not against Christianity. Im against animal cruelty. |

So getting back on topic, do Christians ever feel bad that they constantly have to "defend" god and Jesus and the religion itself to non-believers who question its motivations? In real life, do you just surround yourself with other Christians so its not as rocky? Yes it is exuasting dealing with people who either hate Christians or just want to pick a fight with one.They will never agree with anything you say,often insult you,and put your life under a microscope waiting for you to do something un-Christian so they can put a stick in you and roast you.Then they say..."if you were a Christian you wouldn't do this and you wouldn't do that.Your not a real Christian blah,blah". It would be nice if I could surround my self with other Christians but since I often work heavy industrial jobs(railroads,steel mills,ships yards,etc)I am rarely around other Christians(practicing Christians for that matter).Usually they are just a bunch of booze bags or drug abusers.Once in a while I will find a Christian who is really into his religon and leads a Christian lifestyle.I am a much happier person when I am working with other Christians. The Christian lifestyle is also difficult to live.No drugs,no getting drunk,no sleeping around,no picking fights,no smoking or cusing like a sailor.Even if you do end up doing these things you often feel a great deal of guilt and remorse about it.I try to do the best I can but I often cuss and sometimes take lords name in vain while working because I get stressed out(like tonight when I accidently ripped my tumb nail off from a drilling accident)but I try to do the best I can. |

Well...I just now read what Martymark wrote earier in this thread....(EXCELLENT POST, btw Marty).....
and yes... I have known all along he was Ark...but I will ALSO say this ..he is just as welcome here as any of us!! The ONLY problem I had with Ark before, was the negativity and speaking of lying , when he himself wasn't being honest. BUT...no one is perect here ..and if Marty can keep the Negativity out..he will be just fine!!! WELCOME back Ark!!! 
And if anyone gives you a hard time, I will personally kick their arse.
