Kevin everybody here is trying to do something constructive. Your
comments are not helping, esp. when they eat up half a page. If you
agree with what you say, join in, write those words to your congress
man. You dont have to get away from the puter. we have provided several
links to reach your representatives in Wash. How about letting us borrow
some of your intelligence to back us and do something constructive.

White House plan
• Allows illegal immigrants who pass background checks to get three-year
"Z-visas" and continue working after paying $3,500 in fines and $3,500
for each renewal.
• Allows illegal immigrants who obtain Z-visas a chance to become legal
permanent residents and eligible for citizenship after paying up to
$10,000 in additional penalties.
• Bars holders of Z-visas and temporary workers from bringing families
to the United States.
• Allows a new temporary guest worker program and a path to citizenship
for illegal immigrants only after certain "triggers" are met, including
570 miles of fences and vehicle barriers along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Senate 2006 bill
• Allowed illegal immigrants who have been in the country five years or
more to remain, continue working and eventually become legal permanent
residents and citizens after paying at least $3,250 in fines and fees,
plus back taxes. They also must learn English.
• Required illegal immigrants in the U.S. between two and five years to
go to a point of entry at the border and file an application to return.
• Required those in the country less than two years to leave.
• Created a new temporary guest worker program.
• Authorized 870 miles of new fences and vehicle barriers along the
U.S.-Mexico border.

I've been trying to stay out of the political threads because sometimes
I think my head will pop. But here I am...

We SHOULD write our congresspeople and tell them what we think. We
should call their offices and we should E-mail them. We should get
petitions started at our workplaces.
Someone earlier wrote that nothing would happen because the politicians
are in the pockets of the Mexican govt.. This may be so, But with every
letter ,E-mail, Phone call and petition, Let the official know that if
they don't step up, You and your families will do everything in your
power to remove them come election time. If they get enough of those
messages, They'll have to pay attention. Take away their bread and their
butter is useless.

Thanks for your support,

G.

exactly what Ive been saying big glenn. Tell our politicians that their
days are numbered as rep's. If they want that number of days
lengthened, then they need to start represntin what we want not what
they want. ANd if they dont represent our wishes? Their days as
politicians just go tthat much shorter.
It might take three or four elections to get hte right people in office,
but if we keep voting them out when they dont work for us? They will
eventually get the messagea nd we will get good reps.

(mysteriousman please e-mail me cuzz I wanted to show you some of them)

Its because of this http://www.rense.com/general75/truckess.htm

Help our brother truckers on April 23,24,25

I went to a local copy place on my lunch break, I bought 20 white 8X4
bumper stickers for 1.00 a pc. It says in 1 inch block, black
letters, with 2 colored American Flags in the top corners.
Something like this:

XX GO XX
TRUCKERS
APRIL 23-25

They saved the info in the computer so I can make more. I put them on
my truck and 5 others within 10 minutes of friends who support the
truckers. And I also told all my friends. I wish I would have done
this weeks ago, but...

This may be our last hope!

Please, this is so cheap, anyone can do it.

The truckers need to know we support them. The media cannot ignore a
trucker strike!!!!!!

get off your asses and get to the copy store tommorow.

Hello everybody
I like this thread because it bring up a issue that needs attention. I
aggree that we need a better way to keep illegals out and make them
enter leagaly. I have discussed ths at work with fellow employees ad
they agree that it would be the cheapest way to do this, Because the
govt' spends all our money on looking for weapons of mass distruction.

We can't build a wall too expensive and to much like Germany.
We must come up with a cost effective way to do this.
How about a 50 ft X 50 ft. fence of razor wire with a 20 ft X 20 ft.
ditch filled with 10 ft. of concrete and top it off with good ole
american junk cars there are plenty of junk yards in America that would
glady donate a few junk cars. Now you are probably thinking who's going
to build this fence. In this nation we many people that love to
volenteer and they are more than welcome. But we have a labor pool that
is growing out of hand each year. Prisoners are the answer to the labor
problem.
I don't know if you people agree, or you are angry with this post but
something has to be done. Bye the way this fence idea will bring new
jobs to Americans that need them.Thank for listening.

Voil I am sorry if you feel my OHpinion and genuine feelings on illegals
crossing over the border irresponsible. I grew up and lived on the west
coast in the desert so I can tell you this topic is NOT new to me. From
the 1960's to NOW I have seen the carnage and violence that happens with
illegals.

WHY is everyone laying the blame on WASHINGTON?, BUSH?, our FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT?, and not seeing that this goes also to the STATE, COUNTY and
even CITY levels here in America??? noway noway WHY are my TAXES
constantly going UP UP UP?? how about YOURS?grumble grumble State
sales tax, property taxes, etc. THRU THE DAM ROOF! I saw where a member
from canada thinks our federal "law enforcement" should be doing "their
job". Dream a lil dream too! Border Patrol agents ARE federal workers
arent they? The taxes spent on BORDER PATROL go waaaaay into the
billions trying to keep the illegal mexicans from crossing the borders.
Then you have to consider the state taxes spent on jails, inmates,
prisons, welfare, schools systems, the county court systems dockets
backed up for a year in some places, the DAMAGE caused to the LEGAL
AMERICAN JOE/JANE and their property, crimes against them and lets not
forget the M13 gang which is mexican and the deadliest gang in America.
They are right HERE in my town and robbery, murder, rape, carjackings,
driveby shootings, and WHO'S TAXES ARE PAYING FOR THAT?? YOURS AND MINE.
Then lets not forget that its up to US..OUR TAX DOLLAHS to DEPORT THEM
and for some FLY THEM BACK OVER THE BORDER. Geeeeemaneecrickets
ya'll!!!noway noway noway
Kevin being isolated and a recluse you have no idea just how scary it
really is being a single mom just trying to get my youngin to a doctors
appt. driving thru "little tijuana in dahood"!! Canada does not have gun
laws but as an american i have the RIGHT to bear firearms. YOU DAM
SKIPPY I WILL! If its me or an ILLEGAL bustin down my front door and i
am about to be beaten, raped, my child harmed I WILL PROTECT MY FAMILY
AND MY PERSON. I will NOT be a victim to a HOME INVASION, rape, beating
or murder because some greedy corrupt sumbiatch politician
City/County/State/Federal has got their fingers in that all american
apple pie. Employers bucking those all american IRS TAXES by employing
these illegals. BULLCRAP! its not just the FEDS. Its right here in MY
LITTLE TOWN and i betcha its going down in your back yard too. I dont
pity the illegals who die out there in the desert. THEY DID THAT TO
THEMSELVES KNOWINGLY. Illegal means CRIMINAL. I have no pity and i am
sure getting tired of MY TAXES going up thanks to this situation. Our
state is FINALLY enforcing employers to pay harsh fines or face prison
for hiring illegals. This also applies to LANDLORDS. I mean no offense
to any member here American, Canadian, man or woman but my honest to
gawd OHHPINION HERE stands. You see them crossing the borders, shoot
them. MANY of these illegals are violent offenders DEPORTED FROM AMERICA
many times and i honestly believe they can and WILL shoot YOU OR ME with
no care or remorse. After all they crossed the american border KNOWING
they were committing a crime. ILLEGAL IS CRIMINAL. If someone from
mexico, asia, russia, etc. wants to come to america then COME ON! but do
it legally!!!flowerforyou flowerforyou

LOS ANGELES - Frustrated by Congress' lack of progress on immigration
reform, pro-immigrant activists want to tap into growing anti-war
sentiment this spring by combining the two issues at dozens of rallies
nationwide.

Many organizers are concerned that debate over the Iraq war has
overshadowed immigration reform, and some immigrants are increasingly
opposed to the conflict as more foreign-born troops are killed or
wounded.

Both issues are personal for protest organizer Juan Jose Gutierrez. His
22-year-old nephew was killed last year in Iraq after emigrating from
Mexico, and becoming a U.S. citizen while serving with the Marines.

The war is something that affects immigrants dramatically right now,"
said Gutierrez, president of the Los Angeles-based group Latino Movement
USA. "It's important people understand that the anti-war and immigration
movements are connected."

Immigration reform has been stalled since last summer, when Congress
split over whether to first strengthen border security and immigration
laws or extend a path to citizenship to illegal immigrants

Hint, Hint, Hint!!!!!

Call Your Congressman, The illegals are;

Hard feelings over ‘Z’ plan
Immigrant rights advocates say many of the area’s illegal immigrants
feel betrayed by President Bush, who they had long considered an ally.
While illegal immigrants and advocates have long focused their ire at
conservative Republicans and Congress, many had seen Bush as an advocate
of immigration reform because he had repeatedly said he favors giving
many illegal immigrants a path to citizenship.

The White House’s draft plan, leaked last week, calls for a new “Z” visa
that would allow illegal immigrant workers to apply for three-year work
permits. They would be renewable indefinitely, but would cost $3,500
each time.

Then to become legal permanent residents, illegal immigrants would have
to return to their home country, apply at a U.S. embassy or consulate to
re-enter legally and pay a $10,000 fine.

Its our government, Do something...........

Very well put on points there Barbie, but I don't agree with how many
illegal mexican immigrants you think lead the life of violent crimes.
Yes there are mexican gangs as well as white, black, asian and others.
it depends on your part of the country you live in. The southern states
have the higher number of mexican gangs but in more cases than not are
outnumbered by other gangs. In alabama and mississippi can you guess
which gangs are more prevalent? Probably so due to the higher
concentration of that group of total people (average citizens and dead
beat hardline criminals combined).

Besides what's all the fuss about anyhow? All of Americas jobs are
moving south of the border, soon Mexico will need to keep us out.

Member of Hispanic gang MS-13
WASHINGTON – Four members of a Hispanic gang in Los Angeles are
convicted of federal hate crimes for the cold-blooded slaying of a black
man in their neighborhood.

In Maryland, state corrections officials have begun a new study of
prison gangs, including the growing numbers of Spanish-speaking gang
members, amid mounting violence against prison workers.

A war between Hispanic and black prison gangs set off a series of riots
across California this year leaving two dead and more than 100 were
injured.

I thought you were a fed man

National crime statistics released by the FBI show homicides up 5
percent last year. But the real story, say experts, is what is happening
in urban pockets across the country, where murders – increasingly across
racial lines – are way up.

In Philadelphia's 12th Police District shootings have almost doubled
over the past year.

In Boston, the homicide rate is soaring.

In Orlando, the homicide count has reached 37, surpassing the city's
previous record.

All of this follows a national trend of decreasing violent crime through
2002.

The biggest increase in violence is in smaller cities where gang and
drug problems are relatively new. In 2005, jurisdictions with
populations between 50,000 and 250,000 saw homicide increases of about
12.5 percent – far larger than the big cities, says David Kennedy,
director of the Center for Crime Prevention and Control at John Jay
College of Criminal Justice in New York.

"Those numbers tell only part of the story," he said. "Serious crime is
concentrated in certain areas within poor black and Hispanic
neighborhoods. For people who live in the Trinidad area of Washington,
in the Nickerson Gardens housing complex in South Los Angeles and on
Magnolia Street in Boston, the citywide statistics have always been
meaningless. Their neighborhoods are war zones."

More people are noticing that much of the violence is at least partly
racially motivated and tied directly to the rapid increase in Hispanic
population over the last decade – much of it due to illegal immigration.

Barbiesbigsister,

If you’re going to shoot the messenger, AT LEAST GET THE MESSAGE RIGHT!

Here is exactly what I said:

“… while I don't condone Barbiesbigsister's irresponsible comment:
My honest to god feelings on tending to the borders is to shoot to kill.
No questions, no warnings, just shoot them.”

… and here was the exact context inside which it was said (PAGE 3 OR 4):

************************************************************************
“… When I said AIM your metaphorical guns at the right target, I'LL
repeat it, AIM your 'met. guns' AT YOUR OWN GOVERNMENT, NOT MEXICO, AND
MUCH LESS CANADA.
… With respect to the situation, and while I don't condone
Barbiesbigsister's irresponsible comment…

''My honest to god feelings on tending to the borders is to shoot to
kill. No questions, no warnings, just shoot them.''

… I AGREE WITH HER COMMENTS THAT THE SITUATION IS OUT OF CONTROL AND
CAUSING HAVOC FOR MANY.

But again, aim at the right target: WASHINGTON!!! If WA doesn't get it,
it sure isn't going to be a bunch of 'cowboy hats', taking the law in
their own hands, that's going to impact the situation. Especially since
they irritate the heck out of WA! If you're serious about turning
things around on that issue, check out a post where Fanta46 suggests the
right kind of action for a civilized democracy:….”
************************************************************************

So Barbiesbigsister, I was suggesting way back then, that Washington,
not the ‘illegals’, was the right target. Also, instead of bashing the
‘illegals’ (symptom), I was pointing to Fanta as someone whom might be
able to redirect everyone’s energy in a constructive political action
towards WASHINGTON (the cause).

So whether or not you like it, I’M ON YOUR SIDE!!!
