Insofar as our borders go. Canadian border officers / customs officers
are not armed. It was deemed unecessary on the longest unguarded border
in the world. (You do remember that right.) Those same officers are
currently fighting for the right to carry.
Now regarding Canadians having the balls to defend their country. Do you
know why the White House is white?

went out there, they got shot at. From the Mexico side. You want to

We have a street here that you DO NOT DRIVE ON AFTER DARK. The Mexican
kids come from across the river, put rocks across it and when you stop
your car, they rob you!!

A question you'd have to put to Mysterious Im afraid since Canadian Law
Enforcement is inadequate. I ahd already heard of the MMP, I do read
Mysterious, and about the problems encountered by the U.S. Border Patrol
along the Mexican border. I hadn't heard however about the attacks on
ranches and on streets. That is disturbing.

It's not that I think it wrong Mysterious. Simply dangerous. For them
and those they run into. In the reports I read about the maxican
illegals and the Border Patrol those who transport won't mind killing
not to be caught. Border Patrol are trained and armed to respond.
Civilians have no busineess trying to do the job of Law Enforcement.
These people are getting shot at putting up a fence, what's going to be
next.

well, Karma, we are nothing but wide open spaces out here. They
illegals pay trafficares to bring them across, in fact there is a little
town outside of Palomas Mexico that was literally razed where they were
being kept until time to smuggle them into the US. After being crossed
over, the illegals are left on their own to get to the highways where
they are then picked up and transported to bigger cities. They
literally die out there in the desert. Or if lucky, they come upon the
ranch houses, where they steal anything not nailed down, or break in and
terrify the homeowners.

smuggling humans is big business. no way can it be stopped. just like
drugs coming across the borders.

I'm not saying I don't understand the problem. I know about the
trafficers, as I stated though they will not hesitate to kill to avoid
jail time. Civilians should not do the job of law enforcement though.
Better would be to increase the number of officers patrolling, give them
what they need to do their jobs. If a civilian knows something, sees
something, hears something report it.

you know there was a web site a couple months back where citizens could
log on and "watch" the desert. If they saw someone crossing, they could
call it in. got 2 calls.

yes seriously. Drug smuggler coming across the river, got caught,
jumped out of the truck and was running back to Mexico. Our BP agents
shot him in the behind.

OK, facts are they lied about the shooting, tried to cover it up, and
didn't report it like they should have.

Got a 9 year sentence and the other an 8 year sentence. Just about a
month ago, and already one had the crap beaten out of him in prison. I
think in Tennessee. Bush has been asked to suspend sentences, I don't
think he has.

I can see the report now. "Suspect was shot while attempting to flee. I
shot him in the a@@" Now wouldn't that look good on a report.

However should have gotten suspended sentences. Shooting itself was a
good shoot. Just bad judgement reporting. Thrown off Force with loss of
benefits.

You're right it is dangerious. I'm not saying that it's not. I think
that you should have military training to do that. So you should be ex
military, or ex law officer, the ex law officer should have been in the
military maybe. I think you need more military training then law, It's
not the same. You need to know what to do, how to do it, and when to do
what needs to be done. thats true. I live to far to do it or I would
help. I do have the training. Myself, I don't know how I feel about the
poor basterd trying to feed his family, But I do know how I feel about
the drug dealers, and terrorist. Also think about the people that live
where they are crossing. The goverment can do just so much. They can pay
just so much. I feel the right people should help. You don't need to be
paid to help others.

Now you are starting to make sense. Take that forward a step to being
recognized as an outside asset with government support. Take that to
letting Law Enforcement handle their side and there is no difference of
opinion.
