Obama has shown his birth certificate!!!frustrated frustrated

He was born in Hawaii.

No he hasn't! There are lawsuits against him currently pending in several states saying he is not a citizen of the country and therefore can't be president! they wouldn't be there if he had shown his birth certificate, but so far he has refused! for the love of God, check your facts, do your research on this guy. your vote counts, and if you don't look up the facts for yourself you are throwing it away!

I personally am not crazy about mccain. he has flaws that i see and don't like, and wasn't my candidate during the primaries, but given the choice that we are presented with, he is the better of the two. at least he would pass a CIA background check which is more than what we can say for obama.

I have checked the facts. Look it up on Factfind and/or Snopes.

Anybody can file a lawsuit!

What you are saying about healthcare shows me lack of empathy and altruism. Helping those less fortunate is what has made our country so great!

Obama never said that if we don't vote for him that we are racist and hate filled.rofl

being given a mandate to pay for someone else's healthcare shows neither empathy nor altruism. if you want to show those things via the healthcare system, you can feel free to show up to the E.R. on a daily basis and foot someones bill. when someone forces you by law to do something for someone else that via legislation that is not altruistic, that is obeying the law. altruism is making a personal choice to do something good seeking no reward for yourself, and you don't need obama to make a law in order to do it!

what made this country great was people in tough circumstances doing the best they could with what they had for themselves.

yes anyone can file a lawsuit, but only valid suits will receive a court date and not be thrown out. none of the suits have been thrown out yet! if obama showed his birth certificate they would be! we are waiting on a simple fix here!

What you are saying about healthcare shows me lack of empathy and altruism. Helping those less fortunate is what has made our country so great!

the drive of the average person to better themself is what made this country so great, not giving to the poor. the thing is, the more fortunate are much more likely to help the poor if they're not being forced.

Obama's plan, while no longer a nationalized system, still puts the burden on every businessowner. he says he wants to help them with tax cuts and the like but does he realize that healthcare for even a healthy, non-smoking 25 year old like me can be hundreds a month? that can be a multi-thousand dollar expense for even small businesses of 10 employees. there's no way the tax cuts are going to give that much of a benefit.

also think of corporations. when I was 18, I worked for target. they required 32 hours a week to be full time and eligible for benefits but many employees (cashiers mostly) did not work those hours, some often working only 8 or 12. if you require them to provide health insurance to them and their families for 12 hours a week of labor, that is an enormous cost increase on the company. you'll also see a rise in unemployment in entry level jobs such as those because the more people on the payroll, the more they're paying in benefits. not to mention the effects of those costs on already rising prices. if the benefits increase the exenditures, they've gotta increase profits to keep that bottom line black.

Obama never said that if we don't vote for him that we are racist and hate filled.rofl

not that I know of - but his wife has.

the irony of American arrogance is just too amusing here (sorry madman)...youre talking about moving to another country as if you have the right to just pack up and go where you please..(unless you have a butt load of money), do you think only Americans have immigration policies?? Look around, youll be lucky if you can find any country that actually WANTS you....even a little 3rd world country like mine wont put up with you for more than 3 months..then you have to leave....
huh

And you don't think Americans can be racist?!

Canada is pretty nice this time of year

I think I'll move no matter who gets elected

it's the Americans that are getting on my nerves, not the candidates

I encourage every disgruntled person to move out of the country if their candidate doesn't win. We'll be better off with fewer fanatics

"disgruntled" - nah.... that won't be the case. Disgusted, fed up....completely repulsed by the lack of willingness to move forward towards positive changes in Amerca without racial bias.
You say "potato"....

"fanatic" - ME!? lol! Not so much. But its rather apparent you are quite judgmental, I see. Very interesting - that speaks volumes about your character.

Obama is QUALIFIED to be President of the United States - period. Unfortunately there ARE racial stigmas still living in the US and this makes his qualifications muted by the color of his skin. If Barack Obama does not win the election, sadly - it will be because of racism, not his qualifications. This is a fact. A very ugly one, but albeit true. Barack Obama is not only a great candidate, but the iconic face of chance in American's belief in "the American Dream". Just getting the nomination has already boosted morale of the children that have been living in poverty and single parent homes with very little hope to live their dreams when they see their families and neighborhoods falling down around them. Barack is a man of people, and a man of hard work... he is proof that in America you truly CAN be anything you want to be if you persevere and don't let fear stand in your way. We need him in the Oval Office for many reasons, but for me, I think his critical need is for our youth. Especially our young men in urban environments watching their dreams crash down around them every day. As President Barack will rightfully be a key member of the most Historical Black Americans in history. He is exactly the sort of role model our young people need. Especially the children in our inner cities who haven't a positive male role model to live up to.

If he does NOT win - then my faith in Americans as a people who stand together and not divided by color drops. Justifiably so. The idea of another 4 years of republican "conventionalism" (tongue-in-cheek) disturbs me immensely. We need BIG change in this country, and in order for that to happen - it has to be done by something monumentally different. I am not even talking about things like socialized medicine. I am talking about people changing PEOPLE!!!! If the tables were turned, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are? This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative characteristics in another when there is a color difference. I'm sorry folks, but John McCain is an ornery, trigger-happy old fool who is past due for retirement... sure, he has done good things and bad things, just like the majority of politicians... but if he were the black man in 'the race' you "die-hard republicans" would not be so quick to jump on his ticket!

and for the comment made about "people not helping themselves" - yeah, riiiiggghhhht!!!!???? You can leave ME outta that little 'peck'. That is all I do is help and take care of 'mine'... writing letters to my Senator on a weekly basis... taking care of my kids and working my ass off day by day... making enough money to NOT qualify for any "gov't help" but not enough to afford my OWN prescriptions.

P.S. Anyone who is IGNORANT enough to believe that Barack Obama is not an American citizen should not even have the right to vote.

so i should vote for obama just because he's black? is that what you're saying? wouldn't that, in itself, make me racist?

i doubt that i'd ever vote democratic, but i have voted for a conservative candidate in canada who happened to be black - the key words being 'happened to be black'. it certainly wasn't something that even came into play when weighing my decision, nor more or less so than if the candidate had blond hair and/or a mole.
