I'm gonna be blunt. I took my picture offline because I got an email from a guy saying he was masterbating to it. that's nasty...flipping neanderthal The idea of anyone haveing access to my image & me not having control over what they are using it for is upsetting. i agree ... it is a dilemma just what to do i've removed my photos before to protect myself and hardly ever put them in the main picture but rather will keep them in my photo gallery... I have seen that many of the rudest, most hateful & biggotted people here have photos up that may or may not be them , who knows for sure? I never try to mislead people about my appearance or identity. I keep saying I am an old, fat, ugly cat lady. I have a lot of fun with the "hen" & if anyone asks me for naked pictures now, I love it! |

maybe we can all chip in and get you a seat nessa, oh, you are very kind, Kevin I do have a bike seat... it's one of those quick release ones, though convenient , and very easy for someone to grab it and dash so, i take it off and carry it with my helmet in the store.... it is good for double duty, too can be an effective weapon if need be.... |

its the internet, the playing field is wide open, if you cant play the game stay on the bleechers....photos, profiles, webcams, email, dont prove a thing...the only ligitimacy comes in a face to face encounter and even then there is no guarantee that the person is genuine....
Thats life, you takes your chances, hope for the best, plan for the worst.... by the way...this picture really isnt what I look like,,, |

I highly doubt, such a prerequisite would ever be implemented.
I do understand and appreciate the concerns, however, implementing such a policy, would greatly limit growth. As far as scammers go, Charles does a fantastic job of keeping them off the site. The mods do their fair share too. What you all can do to help us out in this area, is to simply report any suspicious email or profile. |

I have seen on here people having a profile with a picture of animals/cartoons/weird things----it's not even a photo of themselves.
The problem is that they can post anyone's picture. So do you trust that people are honest or do you worry that the picture is not really them? Those thinking that a picture will tell you if the person is your own idea of "normal" doesn't mean a thing. How many people do you see on tv that looked so called "normal" and was some rapist or killer or drug dealer. Personally I think a picture narrows down your field; if you are first looking at a photo. Why spend the time talking to someone and liking them as a possible long term relationship for it to end if they don't like the "package" so to speak. Why be afraid. We are what we are. I believe that everyone is attracted to different types of people and that's what makes the world go around. I figure.....Don't be afraid....post a recent picture of yourself. By doing do you are weeding out the people that are not attracted to you right away and the people that respond to you already know what you look like. (((Which does not tell them what type of person you are by any means)) Lots of reasons for not posting a picture and lots of reasons to post. As far as the freaks and mental cases and killers/stalkers, etc. This internet and every dating site is their new expanded playground. Just be careful, always! |

I think that time is a good indicator, though ... of course, some are even more underlying & deceptive & can be downright treacherous ... however in my experience with the online scammers many of them are just trolling for immediate victims they just try to hit and run |
