Besides Feral, if you have all of this exegesis from class which I dont doubt that you do, Im sure you've actually read it correct? If you have then it would be much easier to actually summarize the points that you want to convey. If you can not summarize then delete all of the irrelevant material and copy and past the portion that actually ADDRESSES the discussion.

Ive got a few biblical contradictions running right now on another thread but since this one was originally intended to actually address that topic. I will add here another. This one is brand new. Has there ever been a righteous person? NO Job 15:14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? YES Genesis 7:1 For thee [Noah] have I seen righteous before me. Well doll like the ones you were so convinced in my threads were contradictions well by the end not so much.....so here I will do again just for you doll. where exactly is their any contradiction. First off look and Job in all it's context....what do you note: Now when he is talking about Noah do you also note...righteous in his generation.....hmmmmmm did you miss or leave that part out.. Job 15: 14 "What is man, that he could be pure, or one born of woman, that he could be righteous? 15 If God places no trust in his holy ones, if even the heavens are not pure in his eyes, 16 how much less man, who is vile and corrupt, who drinks up evil like water! 17 "Listen to me and I will explain to you; let me tell you what I have seen, 18 what wise men have declared, hiding nothing received from their fathers 19 (to whom alone the land was given when no alien passed among them): 20 All his days the wicked man suffers torment, the ruthless through all the years stored up for him. 21 Terrifying sounds fill his ears; when all seems well, marauders attack him. 22 He despairs of escaping the darkness; he is marked for the sword. 23 He wanders about—food for vultures [a] ; he knows the day of darkness is at hand. 24 Distress and anguish fill him with terror; they overwhelm him, like a king poised to attack, 25 because he shakes his fist at God and vaunts himself against the Almighty, 26 defiantly charging against him with a thick, strong shield. 27 "Though his face is covered with fat and his waist bulges with flesh, 28 he will inhabit ruined towns and houses where no one lives, houses crumbling to rubble. 29 He will no longer be rich and his wealth will not endure, nor will his possessions spread over the land. 30 He will not escape the darkness; a flame will wither his shoots, and the breath of God's mouth will carry him away. 31 Let him not deceive himself by trusting what is worthless, for he will get nothing in return. 32 Before his time he will be paid in full, and his branches will not flourish. 33 He will be like a vine stripped of its unripe grapes, like an olive tree shedding its blossoms. 34 For the company of the godless will be barren, and fire will consume the tents of those who love bribes. 35 They conceive trouble and give birth to evil; their womb fashions deceit." 1 The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. 2 Take with you seven [a] of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, 3 and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. 4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made." |

Well doll like the ones you were so convinced in my threads were contradictions well by the end not so much.....so here I will do again just for you doll.
As far as I can tell, you were unable to refute a one of those prior contradictions. They are in fact still open on your thread for anyone to discuss. |

The only one you ever attempted to address (there were several posted) was whether or not Jesus actually baptized anyone and then you contradicted yourself! You at first insisted that Jesus NEVER baptized anyone and then later said that he might have baptized someone.

Has there ever been a righteous person?
NO Isaiah 41:26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous? yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words. YES 2 Samuel 22:25 Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me [David] according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight. |

I just added another. Besides, this generation makes no difference. Its still a conflicting statment. Either people are righteous or they arent. God seems to indicate that it can flip flop pretty routinely.

Well duh.....if your talking about the bible...where would you like me to take it from....The dictionary..... well "feralcatlady"...one of the subjects up for discussion is if God is omniscient and Jesus is not omniscient then clearly Jesus can't be God thus disproving the concept behind The Trinity ..can you explain this contradiction rationally in a brief synopsis ...if not means it has the basis to be placed into The Third Testament as a contradiction |

Your comparison makes no sense. Define what you are refering to by "A rightious person" as it is indocated in scripture. |
|
|
|
For the sake of the comparison being made here I will use my understanding of the biblical definition of a "righteous" person. It is an attribute that implies that a person's actions are justified, and can have the connotation that the person has been "judged" or "reckoned" as leading a life that is pleasing to God.
If you are asking what I personally feel the word means? I think it does not exist. No man (or woman) is righteous because we contain both good and evil attributes. That is what it means to be human. |

If you are asking what I personally feel the word means? I think it does not exist. No man (or woman) is righteous because we contain both good and evil attributes. That is what it means to be human. Okey - so that pretty much grabs the essence of it. A "Rightious person" in scripture is an absolute. Therefore - as you correctly concluded - no one is "A Rightious person". This however does not mean that people are devoid of rightiousness. Anyone is capable of rightious activity - but to be a rightious person means one is always rightious. So - the example of David claiming his rightiousness is not an admssion of being a rightious person. If there was anyone who was fully aware of not being a rightious person - it was David. |

Well David seemed to feel that god would accept him as being a righteous human, otherwise I doubt he would be proclaiming his own righteousness, thus the contradiction.

I explain stuff in layman's terms and just for myself all the time.....you guys really don't either read or pay attention. I don't hardly use scripture unless dealing with contradictions......gigglesnort |

Well Deb we are simply asking that you read these extended exegesis on your own, digest them and then summarize for us. What you often do is post everything and maybe one paragraph is related to the discussion material.

Here is another. I like this one in particular.
Is it wrong to commit adultery? YES Hebrews 13:4 Whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. NO (Its permissible under certain circumstances) Numbers 31:18 But all the women children that have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. Hosea 1:2 And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms.... Hosea 3:1 Then said the Lord unto me, God yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress. |
