I can't believe that no one can give me the name of the Roman who stuck the spear in Jesus's ribs?? He has a name! I just forgot it. It was in a movie and the spear was lost forever. Some religious organizations claim they have the spear still.

no prob. here is the key point i think from that article:

"...who really killed Jesus? As a matter of history, the Roman Empire did; as a matter of theology, the sins of the world drove Jesus to the cross, and the Catholic Church holds that Christians themselves bear "the gravest responsibility for the torments inflicted upon Jesus."

Well pretty much it's what I said. Govts & 'religion" were instruments but it's really our sins that He came...for our ransom.

There is noone with absolute power over life and death as you are implying. You are thinking of the Fates from Greek mythology, who at any moment could cut your life line and you would die. God knows when you will be born and he knows when you will die, but he does not control it. He could spare you from death or raise the dead if he so chose, and so could anyone he bestowed the power to. As Jesus gave the apostles the power to heal the sick and blind so too can God give the ability to anyone if he so choses.

"Chazster" in case you didn't know if God can spare you from death and raise the dead then that means God has absolute power over life and death ...didn't they teach you this in sunday school ...I see it's going to be a lot of trouble getting you on the path to true rightousness ...

Yes all christians believe in Jesus, but not all the beliefs are the same. Thats like me saying all humans are mammals so they should all be the same in every way.

the main belief is the same ..the disagreeemts arises when the teachings of Jesus is not being followed ...for instant the Holy Trinity was not something Jesus taught ..the Holy Trinity was added by those other than Jesus and turn Jesus into a false idol ..

There you go again twisting peoples words. I said "as you implied it". I never said God doesn't have absolute power over life and death. He lets nature take its course, but he can intervene if he sees fit. If you die God did not make you die, he merely allowed you to die.

Just because Jesus didnt say it doesnt make it untrue. Jesus gave the apostles dogmatic power. He told them, what you hold true on earth I hold true in Heaven. This apostolic power is passed down from Pope to Pope. This is what allows the Pope to make Doctrine, and the Holy Trinity is a Doctrine.

I thought you would have had enough post censored to know better than to attack peoples religion. Be careful the mods dont see you claiming Jesus is a false idol.

Well since you brought it up... In the OT Israel referred to God Jehovah as "The Lord our God the Lord is One." That gives reference to the Godhead...meaning PERSON(S)..

"Quikstepper"..that quote said the lord is "One" not a Holy Trinity besides you wouldn't find any passages in the Old Testament of Jews saying that Jesus is a part of any Holy Trinity with God ..so can you give a quote maybe in The New Testament in which Jesus speaks that he is part of a Holy Trinity

if God allows you to die and can allow you not to die then that meas God has absolute power over life and death ..face it 'Chaszter" there is no way around this ...it appears that I'm giving the Old Testament God absolute power and you keep trying to think of ways to take that power from him and give it to Jesus

was this Dogmatic power also passed down to the pope that apologized for the sins of the church.. maybe another sin was the inclusion of The Holy Trinity ...like I said the Holy Trinity was not taught by Jesus and was not even mention by Jesus

I thought you would have had enough post censored to know better than to attack peoples religion. Be careful the mods dont see you claiming Jesus is a false idol.

yes maybe the moderators will help you and delete everything..but I said nothing wrong when the Holy Trinity that Jesus never spoke of is used by other to turn Jesus into a God when Jesus never spoke of or ever claimed to be a God ...which means if others used the Holy Trinity to turned Jesus into a God or false idol ..that Jesus was a God is not something all christian agree on

Who killed Jesus?..mirror is right..we all did. Though the event happened 2,000 years ago, the crucifiction process continues into the present...threads like this usually degenerate into a perfect example of it if they are long enough.Christ took his "punishment" with love in his heart..on purpose. In order for Man to receive salvation across the board, love had to persevere through terrible trial and Christ accomplished this. So the joke is on us all..we are saved by that grace whether we like it or not and no amount of petty arguement over scripture and the like is going to change that...try loving someone unconditionally while they rip you a new one and experience the true power and purpose of the atonement..drinker

sorry but I had nothing to do with Jesus's Death ....it was God's Divine Plan before God even created the universe or before Jesus was even created that God would create Jesus to die..... you have to lay the blame of the one is charge not on the simpletons he created and the one in charge is God

Sins do not kill .
Humans kill .
He was killed by humans who were not happy with his new religion .

The story about the crucification is pure myth and was a passion play performed on stage. It never happened in real life. So NO WE DID NOT KILL JESUS.

That is a guilt trip the Church loves to hang on people.

And even if the story of a crucification of a man called Jesus or Joshua or what ever his real name was is true, it happened 2000 years ago and had nothing to do with us.

So NO, WE DID NOT KILL JESUS.

That idea is pure myth and pure ridiculous.

Well if Jesus came to "take away the sins of the world," who would you say killed Him?

the question begging to be asked is HOW was he going to accomplish this, as the greatest sin it was said was to NOT love thy neighbor as thyself, so if interpretation of his words leads to thinking any one be better, be wiser, more good, then something is being LEFT OUT of a whole truth that saves the world, or jesus was the false prophet, and the christian the true prophet.......

what are you talking about ????

the question to ask is "HOW can the words and life of jesus SAVE THE WORLD FROM SIN"........

what SIN is to be removed, thereby saving the world from sin?

what be the greatest SIN he spoke of?

answer......to NOT love thy neighbor as thyself........it was as "he spoke" the NUMBER ONE AND GREATEST COMMANDMENT.

so if interpretation of his words or the words of the bible by

ANY INDIVIDUAL leads to a conclusion that any one person is

better, wiser, more good, more knowledgeable, more christian,

then it would appear as something is being LEFT OUT of the

truth of jesus, that saves the world from sin........

seems either the bible and/or jesus speak false words, or one that speak "for him" speak true words, but false interpretation, if any spoken CANNOT lead to UNITY...........peace

They didn't ask how He would accomplish it...

they asked who killed Him....

It's a very simple concept...Jesus died to take away the sins of the world... OUR sins...right?

That should mean no one person or govt. killed Him...we all did by our own actions because we live under "the curse of sin."

if you deem yourself to live under the curse of sin, than you do, and show what your own heart think and believe of itself.....how can one believe he took away the sins of the world, and still think others live in sin, lol......

if you know what the sin is, and if they have been removed from your own heart, then how can one NOT know these things.......you claim to live by the text of scripture, and to believe them and follow them, when it proclaim from all corners you are not to speak to a man about things of scripture, and to be submissive to a man, and to learn in silence, and to have no interpretation of text, lol.......cannot you see that since you judge all others as "sinful" that don't believe your interpretation of the laws of god, that YOU make yourself accountable and judged by the very laws you preach........

Trying to figure out why he was called a Saint??

ok usually when I try to explain this the post get deleted ..but since I here to place people on the path to true rightousness I'll take a stab at it ..er.. no pun intended

anyway the story no matter how one interpet it can be somewhat of a embarrassment to Christianity ..if Jesus was the Martyr of Salvation then St. Longinus was the Matryr of Damnination even through he was performing miracles all over the place ...which is why through his actions no one can ready say how Jesus died or in fact if Jesus even died on the cross also what happenned after Longinus stucked the spear into Jesus could explain how Christianity may have given rise to Vampirism ..his actions even explains why there is no Free Will but only God's Will

1.) If Jesus was the martyr of salvation....IS A BIG IF...!

(Which I don't believe so the rest of your post is a moot point.)

2.) What does sticking a sword into anyone's side have to do with vampires?

3.) You are right about all will is God's will.... BECAUSE WE ARE ALL GOD.
therefore our will IS GODS WILL. And we create reality.

And yes, we really mucked it up... bigsmile

I have actually seen a documentary on vampirism and how they mentioned of certain individuals that could have been them including religious figures.

The question is it reality or just another grand imagination again.
