Well if Jesus came to "take away the sins of the world," who would you say killed Him?

the question begging to be asked is HOW was he going to accomplish this, as the greatest sin it was said was to NOT love thy neighbor as thyself, so if interpretation of his words leads to thinking any one be better, be wiser, more good, then something is being LEFT OUT of a whole truth that saves the world, or jesus was the false prophet, and the christian the true prophet.......

what are you talking about ????

the question to ask is "HOW can the words and life of jesus SAVE THE WORLD FROM SIN"........

what SIN is to be removed, thereby saving the world from sin?

what be the greatest SIN he spoke of?

answer......to NOT love thy neighbor as thyself........it was as "he spoke" the NUMBER ONE AND GREATEST COMMANDMENT.

so if interpretation of his words or the words of the bible by

ANY INDIVIDUAL leads to a conclusion that any one person is

better, wiser, more good, more knowledgeable, more christian,

then it would appear as something is being LEFT OUT of the

truth of jesus, that saves the world from sin........

seems either the bible and/or jesus speak false words, or one that speak "for him" speak true words, but false interpretation, if any spoken CANNOT lead to UNITY...........peace

If a soldier came to fight a war and died, who would you say killed them?

What's YOUR point?

Mine was that Jesus died for all mankind's sins...so what that means is we all killed Him.

Jesus was God & no man could do anything to Him unless it was part of the plan of God. Get it?

My cahtolic brother "Gets it" ,Quickstepper.
I pray this haughty spirit in you leave ,Quickstepper , in Jesus Name ,Amen.

"MorningSong" it may take a little more then saying in Jesus's name Amen to get rid of haughty spirits ...don't Christians suppose to call an Exorcist or something

but anyway I see that there is a dispute among Christians as to who or what killed Jesus ..if Jesus died on the cross he only died because God is in control of life and death and took his life but if Jesus is part of a Holy Trinity which means that Jesus is God then only Jesus himself could take his own life ..therefore Man had nothing to do with killing Jesus and God therefore have punish and victimized the human race for a false reason which maybe even explains a reason why Satan tried to step in to get the human race to see this

that is why you rarely if ever hear any mention of the individuals that nailed Jesus to the cross or the soldier that stuck a spear in Jesus because if they was credited with killing Jesus then they would be become known as Gods theirselves since only Gods have control over life and death ..I guess that is the point "Davidben" was trying to get across

so that is why it is logical that Man didn't killed Jesus and why only God himself could have killed Jesus

According to your logic , all murderers in jails around the world are innocent because "God " did the killings and not people behind bars and on death row !. According to your reasoning every murder is committed by God . I am just following your thoughts when you put the blame of killing on God .

in society Man has his own laws and not everyone in that soceity are followers of the Christian belief or even believes in a God and therefore hold individual Man responsible for the taking of a life not God

but remember this is about Christian belief and according to Christian belief God governs absolute over life and death ..which means death can only occur if it is God's Will ..which means that only God could kill Jesus ..

Yea, I don't remember anything saying that only God has power over life and death. He just says things and they says, oh they are christian beliefs so you must believe them. For one thing, why does he think he knows what beliefs christians have, and second why does he think all christians believe the same thing. If they did we wouldn't have so many different christian religions.

I try to debate the belief on the believer's terms by not dismissing anything as being false so when a logical conclusion is reached it can therefore not be disputed ....

There is noone with absolute power over life and death as you are implying. You are thinking of the Fates from Greek mythology, who at any moment could cut your life line and you would die. God knows when you will be born and he knows when you will die, but he does not control it. He could spare you from death or raise the dead if he so chose, and so could anyone he bestowed the power to. As Jesus gave the apostles the power to heal the sick and blind so too can God give the ability to anyone if he so choses.

Yes all christians believe in Jesus, but not all the beliefs are the same. Thats like me saying all humans are mammals so they should all be the same in every way.

They didn't ask how He would accomplish it...

they asked who killed Him....

It's a very simple concept...Jesus died to take away the sins of the world... OUR sins...right?

That should mean no one person or govt. killed Him...we all did by our own actions because we live under "the curse of sin."

no prob. here is the key point i think from that article:

"...who really killed Jesus? As a matter of history, the Roman Empire did; as a matter of theology, the sins of the world drove Jesus to the cross, and the Catholic Church holds that Christians themselves bear "the gravest responsibility for the torments inflicted upon Jesus."

"Chazster" in case you didn't know if God can spare you from death and raise the dead then that means God has absolute power over life and death ...didn't they teach you this in sunday school ...I see it's going to be a lot of trouble getting you on the path to true rightousness ...

Yes all christians believe in Jesus, but not all the beliefs are the same. Thats like me saying all humans are mammals so they should all be the same in every way.

the main belief is the same ..the disagreeemts arises when the teachings of Jesus is not being followed ...for instant the Holy Trinity was not something Jesus taught ..the Holy Trinity was added by those other than Jesus and turn Jesus into a false idol ..

I tend to believe the Jewish version. Yeshua Ben Panthera lived to be 65 years old and was stoned to death along with five of his disciples.

this is not the Jewish view as i understand it

Well since you brought it up... In the OT Israel referred to God Jehovah as "The Lord our God the Lord is One." That gives reference to the Godhead...meaning PERSON(S)..
