we dont have a gun problem, we have a criminal element problem fostered by a lenient criminal justice system that favors the criminal over the victim. Do not be confused here. Yes, it should be mandatory for the head of every household to be armed when out in public 24/7

i like your response lol!

the problem is the lack of honest law biding people not permitted to carry

in my opinion

Ohio has a CCW law. That is not the problem here.

yes it does but a lot of places do not permit you to take them in

if virginia had (maybe do) concealed carry i doubt it would have helped cause virgina tech would more than likely have no gun rule

For the record I am a gun supporter. Don't get me wrong. You are right...People who mistreat guns and their authority are the problem. But, with the right to bear arms how do you protect the innocnt while the crazy **** continues without getting a case caught on yourself then? Or caught in a crossfire that isn't suppose to be there or happen? How can we protect our kids today do they have to tote too? Most already do for that reason...they're scared.

yes it is a people problem... its not a gun problem... lets quote Larry.. if you can blame a shooting on the gun then I can blame mispelled words on my pencil

Guns scare the hell out of me, especially with my kids in the house. I sleep with a big ass butcher knife that has never been used beside my bed-nightstand, and I will stab to kill someone who comes in my house uninvited at anytime, that are meaning to do wrong/harm. In my truck, I do not have a gun, I keep a scredriver in the driverside door panel just in case I may need it. Purse and desk drawer at work, I have a can of mase...

May seem kind of sissy to you, but I will die tryin to kill if someone ***** with me or mine...
because a butcher knife is soo much safer for your child to gain access too from your nightstand than a gun huh

Not saying that at all. Kids are more prone to pick up a gun out of curiousity and show to friends or what not, as to where they would not do that with a knife.

The more guns are out there the more available they are to criminals. It is simple supply and demand.

this is where it is a gun owners responsibility to keep them in a safe, up high in closet but always ALWAYS with trigger locks.

But however there is NO safety assurance with guns.

if they want one they will get it

that is no reason to make it hard on the honest citizen

banning has never worked

prohibition and drugs should be enough proof of that

That does not always work though... Kids are curious, and some kids like to show things-guns off to their friends, hell their kids, and all I am saying is, I do not feel comfortable with guns nowhere around me or any kids, because accidents do happen. Kids are more likely to pull out a gun and play with or show off to someone, then a knife... How many times do you see kids that have gotten killed from a knife than a gun. It outways a knife tremendously. That is my choice of protection.

That I understand, people want what they cannot have. That is human nature. This is a multifaceted issue and involves common sense, education, and attitude in general.

I have a child.... no way is he going over a friend's house if there is a gun in it. Locked or not.
