I think it is a very honorable and fair idea.

Every credit card holder should contribute their fair share! Those who hold cards with higher interest rates, missed payments, finance charges are shouldering way too disproportional weight, while those who have been playing "a good ole boys" are contributing almost nothing.

It would only be FAIR, to take away from those that are stifling the US economy and cheating our proud and humane banking system, and to help those struggling with astronomical rates and finance charges.

As usual, the ones who went to nice schools in good areas, and who didn't have to have a baby at 18, all those good ole boys were taught how to calculate the interest and finance charges, while those on welfare and in substance abuse institutions, those who really man the might of the greatest nation on earth, the root, the sweat and blood of our economy, are routinely trapped in hard to read, word-winded terms and conditions, hunted by credit dealers. This predatory business is exacerbating already unfair distribution of credit and lighten already too light a load on higher-tier credit customers.

Barrrack Obama es la hente!

The child was not on an internet dating site.

Oh, I am sorry, I though we were talking about MySpace. Isn't that where they learn alphabet?

Rose, there is NO HARM. It is only words. Not even real words to that matter, simply some stupidity on internet.

We're talking about the abuse of a child. Children need to be protected.

I agree, by their parents, making sure they are not on the internet dating sites if they are too stupid or unbalanced to the point they are going to off themselves because somebody somewhere said something.

This is not only in US, that wars are fought for profit, not for any goal. Did anyone really doubted that Russia couldn't squash Chechen rebellion if it was really a goal? And yet, they have spent so many years there, going back and forth. I've talked to a guy who was fighting in that war, and he says it was totally about money.

As actually many other things. He told me to look at the "road improvement". I didn't get it at first, what the hell was he talking about.

Turns out, if you pay attention, same perfect street is being repaved like once a year, sometimes even more often. Reason? Theft. The contract always goes to a guy who splits the money with a government boss.

Then why do it on a perfectly good street, and not where it actually needed? Simple. A good street is likely in a good area, where there is no problem to collect taxes, and secondly, because it cost less to "improve" a perfectly good pavement than to re-lay the whole destroyed pavement. But in the papers, it is always done "to the core".

If I off myself and leave a note that it was because of this very post, can you all be sentenced?

Taxpayers in the United States will pay $907.3 billion for total Iraq & Afghanistan war spending (approved & pending) since 2001. For the same amount of money, the following could have been provided:

267,406,630 People with Health Care for One Year OR
939,289,301 Homes with Renewable Electricity for One Year OR
19,596,112 Public Safety Officers for One year OR
15,559,271 Music and Arts Teachers for One Year OR
140,275,201 Scholarships for University Students for One Year OR
169,588,785 Students receiving Pell Grants of $5350 OR
7,057,801 Affordable Housing Units OR
399,894,220 Children with Health Care for One Year OR
124,509,400 Head Start Places for Children for One Year OR
14,904,312 Elementary School Teachers for One Year OR
13,108,904 Port Container Inspectors for One year

How about simply returning the money stolen from taxpayer, back to taxpayer, instead of finding a creative ways to waste it?

What can or should be done to halt this trend toward unwed births? Take our poll. The poll has several options, so you can take it more than once.

1 - Nothing, it's the new normal.
2 - Improve sex ed in schools.
3 - Prosecute men who have sex with girls.
4 - Explain to young women the important role of fathers.
5 - Improve access to abortion.
6 - Restrict the number of children for which unwed mothers can get public assistance.
7 - Other (option)

Who said that something needs to be done? Who put the government to the role of determination if unwed births are in fact unwanted?

7.Who the hell is government to even have a slightest fncking clue as to what is an unwed child, or is it good or bad?

How about us stop being such sheep for the government's wants?

Not every time someone comes out of the nowhere and asks what we would like to do about something, that someone actually has any rights to mess with the problem.

This is a typical authority hijacking trick. You come out of the cloud, state your concern and ask for opinions. When that happens, we are duped into thinking that the questioner has some kind of authority.

When we give answer, we participate in their game, and we approve their authority for anyone else who is still thinking.

In this way a worthless dumbfnck bureaucrat becomes an authority.

It is only a trick. Same thing as a stranger asking you to help find a lost kitten when you were a child.

The trick is that within the question, there is already an implied, assumed to be recognized, authority. But, there is not any authority.

A proper answer to ANY concerns of government to what is OUR business, should be:

"And who allowed you to pose a question? Why don't you go back to your stapler and do what I pay you for?"

Remember, government is not people. They don't and should not have any rights. They are here to do what we tell them to do, not to ask any questions with a pretense of understanding something and caring for something. They are only a bureaucrat losers.

Don't forget that. Don't give up your authority and freedom as a result of a simple trick.

PC but I need a MAC for my photography soon....

A common myth.

That has been the case like 40 years ago.
Today, a PC (which by the way can run MacOS,
as PC is not Microsoft Windows, but simply a free platform),
even loaded with windoze, can blast any mac away.

Of course, simply laying it all out on a new engine will look great, but will it be truly exciting? I think not, you'll quickly recognize an old friend and will be quickly tired with it.

What would you add or remove?

My list:

- A capability to get out of the craft, to do some FPS in order to score some gadgets, such as when you need batteries (pitch black style), or when you need to move the broken latch door by operating a switch board manually...

- autopilot along a pre-programmed route, so that you may want to take a time off, doing other stuff, like in real life, only to be awaken to a trouble...

- ability to trade and change your neutrality status from a legal trader to a fugitive (like in elite). As a legal, you'd be able to pass through armed check point gates, leading to a quicker routes, but as a fugitive you'd be clanking away trough the maintenance tunnels.

- ability to load your goods manually in a cargo compartment, so that you could try to hide some stuff, and when on a guarded gateway you'd be randomly searched, but again, depending on your behavior, the search could be only a papers check, a closer look, or a complete dig down, so if uncovered transporting an illegal item, you'd have to FPS your way into the craft, and then blast the guards and the gates to get out.

- my most desired wish is to keep the ability to play along with a friend, not as enemies, but as buddies, against robots and game characters. Too many games lack this very exciting mode.

What say you?

Obama lets them, to be more accurate.

Logically, if we are to say that Bush is responsible for what did happen on his watch, then Obama should be held as responsible for what goes on on his.

And conversely, if Obama is not responsible, because he isn't a king, after all, then the same can be applied to Bush.

With that said, I'd STILL like to see a legitimate new DESCENT game, as it was a really cool concept.

Imagine D4 being completed using an engine as powerful as CryEngine, for example?

God, I wish someone did it.drinker drinker

For 99% of high school students, there is no excuse for not graduating. Notice I did not say 100%.

Good comment!

If 99% are able to graduate, then we can say that the level of education fall to that of a 99%-ile base. This is exactly, what places the HS so low on the bell curve.

Yes. I am simply agreeing to confirm the observed reality.

There is a major exception though:

Social sciences. I think one could be better off by just keeping his high school education, rather than being brainwashed in a SS major.

Redykeulous,

Are you aware of social permissiveness of capitalism? What this means is that the capitalist system allows an enclave of socialists to exists within itself.

To be clear, I must note, that no socialist system ever allowed an enclave of capitalists to exists freely within itself.

As I have said above, "Any evil system is weak for it's alternatives".

We can see this on a personal level. We know that we can not keep a loved one without giving him/her what they seek. We can either be the best there is as far as they are concerned, and allow them to make sure of it by allowing them to look at any other alternative. Or, if we are not willing to grow up to their demands, we can lock them up in our house, and make sure they never know that their life could be better with someone else.

The first way is the good way, and it is not afraid of competition, and the second way is the way of evil, and its weakness is in the existing alternatives.

An evil husband will dress his wife head to toe and cover her face, deny her any contact with men outside of family, so that she can never know any good alternative. He doesn't want her to know how little does she get, in exchange for what she brings to the table.

An evil wife will lock her husband to a home and garden, vote to outlaw bordellos and strip clubs, imprison any female that provides companionship, and in general, give him hell for any look at the opposing sex. She does it to eliminate any possibility of her husband ever finding out how little he actually gets for what he brings to the family.

The same can be observed on a nation-state scale.

Socialism, is a weak system. It does not allow any group of people to freely organize into a capitalistic sub-society and to use honest money and a concept of property amongst themselves. If it allowed such to happen, then others will see it as a better alternative and one by one, join the capitalists by attaching to the enclave and the whole socialist state will turn inside-out and become capitalistic overnight. For this reason, it is not allowed. For this reason, there are not only tightly shut physical borders, but even the informational one being just as tightly shut.

Capitalism,... well, let us judge for ourselves, instead of me telling you.

Go ahead and organize in socialist society with anyone you want. See if anyone will prevent you from doing so. You will find that you are allowed to live and fully function as a socialist sub-society, whether you use your own issue fake notes, or no money at all. There is no "fight" to speak of. You, and Soul, and any others, can freely and respectably go away tomorrow, secure some land and have a commune, a Venus project if you wish, or even a full blown USSR. As long as you not threaten anyone outside of your society with a physical force, you'll be fine. You'll be able to freely allocate your resources, and love each as a brother every day and night. You can all have all you need, or want, or any other way you see fit.

Capitalism knows that the result of your experiment, will invariably be as follows: You will all break apart in distrust to each other.

Many will attempt to explain it by degrading your intelligence or character. I, will only say that you had a small problem of trust grown into a large dilemma, because you have chosen to account for social activity by units not suitable to convey an acceptable degree of trust.

Because of this knowledge, capitalism is not afraid to allow you to do the experiment. Like a good wife or a good husband, it already does everything it can for you, and if you're not satisfied, then it will be happy to see you satisfied by an alternative you have found elsewhere, anyway.

====

Now, allow me to distort my own explanation here. I am going to introduce some complications, in what I think is a simply and clearly laid out explanation above.

If you organize into a socialist sub-society withing a capitalist society, you will not be allowed to violate the rights that this capitalist society guarantees to it's members.

Personally, I disagree with this limitation. This is a weakness, starting to show up as we gradually regress towards more socialist society. In a complete capitalist, and free society, you would be allowed to kill anyone of your members, provided that you had their clear understanding and consent prior to them becoming a member of you socialist club.

So, a full blown freedom based capitalist society will allow you to have a complete evil kingdom within (even to kill them), knowing that it just won't last, but if it would, then this is what the people desire.

Because of this limitation (the bill of right), the Venus project, and others, must necessarily seek to establish either an independent nation, or seek a full globe conversion, before their project will begin.

In other words, I am trying to convey to you, that they do intend to kill you. If not, then as you can see, there would be no need for any independence or world-wide "solidarity". Everything they want to build while they keep you alive and free, they can already build right within the existing USA. This is the only explanation why they can not allow to be guided by the bill of rights at the top most level.

We do not judge the politician by his actions, but by his words.

If we judged everybody else that way, then murderers would hold offices and thieves would work in the treasury department.

Yeah! We need a new Descent game! The first two RAWKED!!! The third one... well... not so much.

D3 sucked. Somehow Interplay just have lost the edge. Same with Free Space.

I talked to many people from Interplay at that time, and some of them did say it is incredibly hard to keep staying on the razor thin edge of what human mind perceives as interesting. They did they best they could, but they just could not sense where is that elusive edge any longer.

Also an incredible success of Descent II, brought a lot of money to the company. With money, came more sophisticated career managers, who knew nothing about making a good game, but a lot about holding their office.

Too bad. The added concept of guided missiles and thief to counterbalance the hoarding instinct did make the D2 just perfect.

There were a couple of attack helicopter sims out there too at one point, like Commanche 4 which was admittedly a little more arcadey than hardcore sim. But it would seem that even those games are out of fashion nowadays.

It is "too hard" to fly.
