Obama wasn't a part of inner circle, right. That's why CFR decided they will allow him to win the elections. Sounds realistic...

Competitive?

LMAO

All I know is that the residents of 49 other states are going to have to carry the burden of this.

I guess this is what happens when you elect actors, and non native Americans to boot, to run your affairs!
Aye?

Easy there, Fanta.

I am not fond of what Shwartzenegger is doing, but that doesn't mean that it follows from him not being native born American.

FDR was a native born. Look what that rat did!

As far for the bailout... We bailed out your unions. O.K.? Now, you will bail out our lifestyle. ...pro quo.

and how has anyone dealt with those things that aren't catholic????

Ah, grasshopper, it is always more interesting to hang someone for a crime while being catholic, than simply hang someone for a crime!

Millions of people abuse children sexually. What fun would that be to point those out? No, find me one at that who is also a catholic, and I'll find you breaking news.

turning the map give you real turn visualization (good call fran flowerforyou ) so if yer not writing down yourr route (which you should) it is easier to remember which way to turn

Can't they remember which way to turn just by looking at the map, without turning it to align with my route. But, that's why what they do is funny. It looks like just "loading" the map in their memory isn't enough for them, they need to almost "try" it, you know? I mean you're seeing someone doing it, and you have this funny expectation, that the next thing they would want to do is perform the route turn by turn, right on the curb, with a toy car or something....

Funny... I don't mind it, it just rocking funny to observe. The things we do..

I say put the Army Corps of Engineer to work and sink the whole damn state into the Pacific Ocean.

Feeling competitive, huh, Fanta?

California is the poster child of American socialism.

The way it looks from an inside of rot, is that a lot of people here are waiting for the Governator to start cutting all those services we don't need. But, he doesn't. He just keeps threatening us with a possibility of having to cut firefighters, police and teachers.

What a revolt!

Why can't he start cutting with millions upon millions of bureaucrat offices, and then the services for "poor". That is a subject of it's own.

Everybody knows living in California is very expensive. So, if you feel like you're about to go hungry, may-be a more regular state is a better choice? All these people that want to be bailed out in California, they all already have a lot more money than those living in other states. If they simply moved, they would be super fine. It's only Californian prices, that they can't afford.

Anyway, we just voted down several of the government's tricks to raise our taxes. WE WANT THE HUGE WELFARE CUT. CAN'T AFFORD IT? MAY-BE CALIFORNIA REALLY ISN'T FOR YOU! I wonder if this is going to be heard, or if we simply going to be bailed out as if we were asking for it.

...I can read a map without turning it to the direction I'm heading...

bigsmile Yep, that's funny, I see it sometimes too!!!

Why do people do that? Map isn't a compass, it isn't going to "turn" if you turn...

B.S.!

There isn't such thing as "USURY", and I tell you why.

No one has to borrow at the rate he perceives "too high". If you were lender, which you're not, then you'd understand the concern of any lender, and that is the return of money.

Now, let us imaging a person with absolutely negative credit history. Do you want to lend him any money of your own, knowing that he will simply declare bankruptcy, just as he did hundred times before? Or simply won't pay, and there is not a single thing you as lender could do, because he is "judgment proof"?

So, how does a lender to deny him a credit? By offering a rate he won't accept.

If we are to prohibit a lender from offering excessively high rates, then he hes to be able to deny a loan.

That raises big stink. From you know who.

Now, if you limit the maximum rate basic on islamic law of usury, and at the same time you demand "all customers" to be served with loans, then there is only one way for a lender:

Make up on a good customer what you lose on a bad customer. There is no other solution, and this is the only way a lender will proceed.

In other words, you, a great customer, who never had a missing payment, will not receive a 2% interest rate, but say 8% rate, because you need to pay up what is lost by compulsory lending to someone not even planning to pay back.

Credit has been around for decades. It can be a valued asset. Those who can live without it are blessed. But, the credit industry has become greedy and ruthless. I have one credit card I owe $700. Last week I got a letter upping my credit limit because I am such a "valued customer". Today, I got a letter saying they were raising my interest rate to 17.9% in September 2011! I have never missed a payment or been late on a payment. I usually pay early and I pay quite a bit more than the minimum payment. I can't pay the card off in one sweep. But, barring serious health problems, I will pay it off before 09/11. Interesting choice of dates they picked! huh

glasses

Do not agree to a higher rates. Write your opinion and send to the bank, they will have to freeze you line at the rate you are paying now.

It's the law.

I don't use credit cards. My dad taught me when I was young that if I didn't have the money then don't buy it

You know this one is a forgotten wisdom these days. It literally is a reasoning too complicated for most to understand. Kudos to your Dad!

Dell says? This is the name I see on every crappiest computer.

But the main problem stays: "What is it that windows 7 brings to the table, if one isn't gay?"

Everything it can do can already be done by WinXP...

I dont agree with helping people with their credit card bills!

They should have read the fine print and payed more than the min each month!

The problem is the credit card companies can change the rules whenever and however they want.

Got a letter 2 days ago that my CC company will raise my rates January 2011. Preemtive strike?

Incorrect. That same letter also notified you that you have a right to not accept any changes, then your account will cease. And, if you look up your signing documents, you will find a small print about terms and conditions changeable at any time by any party.

I propose a new tax, on everyone using GPS service. Every GPS device with a serial not listed in "tax paid" database, will be sent a reflash code followed by an error.

The tax should be , let's say $1000/ year. That should finally make this matter settle. For too long they were taxing everyone, so that few can enjoy their useless toys.

In one certain point , I understand the reason behind it , having people already in trouble with credit card bills, but my other half is telling me, this is just another something the government shouldn't be involved.

People should learn to be careful and about the credit cards "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" - they should learn not to get into debt on their own.
I don't want to be babysitted neither by the government or someone , that "ohh poor boy, get your credit card, we capped the bastards, it's ok now" .
No thanks. If they mess me up with some crazy interest rate, I learn from it and not get another credit card from that company or not get any either. Eventually they will admit their foolish games and loose enough customers to reconsider messing with people and it will be better. But for the government getting into everything lately, makes me wonder when they will be telling me what color of underwear I shouldn't wear.

The grain of wisdom hides in the bushel of anger, they say.

In this case, Atlantis, you are bringing up a very well hidden and important piece of wisdom, revealing to us for exactly what purpose this legislation has been crafted.

I agree, it is precisely to allow the indebted not to learn from his mistake. For if he does learn, then the indebtor will lose his income stream.

Interesting how the most evil us president, the one who abolished the united states as intended by founding fathers, is not only on top of your list, but not even mentioned.

Hello?

F.D.R. as in Franklin Delano Roosevelt?

that would be woodrow wilson

not roodevelt

Arguably.

Woodrow Wilson did set-up a socialist state, some of most horrifying accomplishments of his were: Progressive Income Tax (Wealth Redistribution) system, and Federal Reserve.

However, I would argue, that all that he did would have been destroyed by Gold, a loyal guard of freedom and accountability. In this case, it would serve merely as a lesson to future socialists.

However, this is where FDR came from behind the back of the republic, like a traitor and thief, in the dark, mortally wounded and killed America forever.

Traditionally, a traitor is a higher evil than an open enemy.

What's wrong with Linux for me? I have tried many distributions, OpenSuse, Ubuntu, Gentoo, Mandriva, Knoppix. Here are a few of the many reasons that I still don't get along with linux:

1. Every distro installer laughs at my raid controller and exits.

2. If I install on another hard drive then the installation usually hangs; this is especially true of Ubuntu.

3. No wireless drivers for my wireless n card. Yes I can use ndiswrapper but how many run of the mill end users can figure that out?

4. My Line6 Toneport GX has no drivers. There is an open source project but it is far from completion. I require it to work flawlessly.

5. I have to jump through hoops using a console to get 3D working on my video card.

6. I have to jump through hoops using a console for most linux activities.

7. Updates usually don't work right (automatic and manual updates) usually choking on some missing dependency. The last time I ran the updater on Ubuntu it would not boot after.

8. Software is compiled for individual distributions and finding the right software is not easy. Yes I can compile the source code myself but again how many regular computer users will know how to do this?

9. There is no standard across distributions. Every distro is different; different file systems, different software installation procedures (emerge, apt-get, rpm), different window managers and so on. We all know that the choice of multiple different editions of Vista is confusing to the end user; imagine how confusing thousands of different Linux distributions is to most people.

All of this and more conspires to keep the average everyday user away from Linux and with Windows which they are more familiar with using and troubleshooting.

Linux has its place in the market. It is an excellent, reliable, scalable choice in operating systems for almost any type of server. To crack the end user market it needs to be easier to use and have a more consistent end user experience across distributions.

Correct. This is because Linux is being developed by the computer professionals. They do not speak normal language and do not understand normal concerns of an average man. Some are actually aroused by command line.

Bill Gates was a salesman first, a college dropout second, a billionaire third, and a computer specialist forth.

You do use US dollars, no?

What is hidden is how exactly such bailout can be financed. The article doesn't show that. I tell you how. You will finance it, if you hold any notes of Federal Reserve.

He stole from the common people to give to the rich. How disgusting.

While I do not approve stealing from the rich either, to steal from the poor to give it to the rich is just below any code of honor.
