Second that.

I hate having to weed through messages to get a glimpse of who someone actually is.

Welcome to the internet. laugh I think part of it is not having any non-verbal cues to pick up on. (tone of voice, expression, etc.) Hard to tell sometimes if someone is being tongue-in-cheek or serious. Personally, I think this is one of the best forums I've seen. Most of the people here have been friendly, welcoming, and (at least to me) appear genuine. flowerforyou

Just thought of another one (yes, I find myself doing this one, too):

It's supposed to be good luck to find a penny lying on the floor/ground....but only if it's "heads up". If it's "tails up", don't touch it.

I do that one. laugh Also, when I pick it up I usually say, "Find a penny, pick it up, and all the day you'll have good luck."

Have you ever cheated while being in a relationship? Have you been cheated on?

Why do you think it happens?

Does emotional cheating count? Where you start talking to and confiding in someone else more than your mate? Or is that just a prelude to physically cheating on them?

Oh this is bad considering I talk to myself a lot.

bigsmile Have you ever lost your temper at work?bigsmile

Oh yeah. laugh Used to have a supervisor that was very unprofessional. She seemed to think it was a sorority instead of an office. She often took it very personally when I was too busy to chat with her. Then I'd either get called into her office for an impromtu "performance review" or get a snarky, snotty e-mail about my people skills. I was always very courteous and polite to her! I just didn't want to be her best friend.
I blew up at her one afternoon, yelled "For God's sake would you just let me work in peace?!!" and ended up in her boss's office, explaining my outburst. laugh Then she & I both ended up in a meeting with someone from HR. Thank God I'd saved all the e-mails she'd sent to me. The HR person warned my supervisor that she could be fired or sued (by me) for harrassment.
She transferred not too long after that.

I can relate so much!happy
I had an office manager that wanted me as her personal "errand" girl none of which was part of my job criteria-any way on top of her demands she was extremely unprofessional as well was her boss, and I called them out on it many times!!!
Needless to say they are practically out-of- business now and I have since moved on to a better job!!!

Someone recently posted a reply to something I said on whimsical thread with "All ideas on threads are right protected, see previous post!"
Apparently I'd posted a reply very similar to this person's original reply.
ARE all ideas on the threads right protected???
I have never heard of this before. Offering one's opinion isn't allowed if someone else has already posted a similar opinion??? laugh

 Have you ever decided you were tired of getting walked on?

 How did you start fighting back?

They were only walking on me because I let them. Once I set new boundaries (and stuck to them! That was the hard part.) the problem, and the person, just went away after a while. She & I eventually stopped speaking altogether. No big loss. laugh

The book only lists Peach Selenite and Selenite Phantom. Here's what it says about the two.

Peach Selenite - A stone of emotional transformation, carrying all the purity and highly spritual energetic properties of Selenite, Peach Selenite is a powerful cleanser and healer and is the perfect accompaniment for those who are immersed in old trauma and who need to review their lives, particularily if circumstances has necessitated a trip into the underworld. Drawing out issues of abandonment, rejection, alienation, and betrayal, no matter when these occurred, nurturing Peach Selenite transmutes the energy into healing, forgiveness, and acceptance. This stone is useful for those who unconciously prefer to stay with the discomfort of a condition rather than face the challenge of getting well and understanding the psychosomatic cause. Symbolizing the transmuting fires of the planet Pluto and the earthy wisdom of his wife Persephone, Peach Selenite is the perfect accompaniment for an evolutionary jump into self-awareness and new life. This is a stone that affords deep insight into the cycles of birth, death, and rebirth and which opens the priestess in every woman. It is perfect for thanksgiving moon rituals at times of transition such as puberty or childbirth.

Selenite Phantom - A Selenite Phantom acts in a similar manner to other phantoms to strip away all that has been overlaid on the soul core, but can assist when working at the highest spiritual vibration to connect to the true spiritual Self and it's overall evolutionary purpose. Carrying purity and the highest spiritual energetic properties of Selenite, a nurturing stone that instills clarity of mind and protects against being overwhelmed mentally or physically, the Phantom clears mental and spiritual confusion and removes karmic entanglements. The insights gained can be grounded and earthed into the physical body with the wider end of the Phantom. If pointed, Selenite Phantom cuts through karmic debris, especially when used as a wand to draw it off and reprogram cellular memory, and dissolve emotional dis-ease. The crystal then acts as a symbol of rebirth and new life. Beneficial for: Cellular memory, spinal column alignment, joint flexibility, neutralizing mercury toxicity.

I'm a little disappointed that this book doesn't list all the stones, like plain Selenite, but (lol) that's what I get for buying off the bargain shelf at Barnes & Noble. laugh I think I'll be buying another book soon that has more stone descriptions.
