Why do people feel they cant be themselves on chat boards? I personally feel like if you cant be yourself why bother. You are going to talk to someone, begin to like them and have to make up excuses why you misrepresented yourself. Just be yourself. Post true pictures and let us know who you really are.

I have to be honest, something about the bit of anonymous thing, makes me act really goofy on the forums sometimes, but I guess that is part of who I really am.

Anyone that I chat with on the forums seems to be themselves. Not sure who you have chatted with. Besides there are a couple that I would hope are being fake, cause the real personality sucks.

There isn't any way I could fake myself. Just can't do it.

Welcome to the internet. I think part of it is not having any non-verbal cues to pick up on. (tone of voice, expression,etc.) Hard to tell sometimes if someone is being tongue-in-cheek or serious. Personally, I think this is one of the best forums I've seen. Most of the people here have been friendly, welcoming, and (at least to me) appear genuine.

Yes, I was surprised to see how many people would admit that they fart.

Some of us do act like ourselves here. Others like to be someone completely different, for some reason.

I have changed to this site trying to find people to connect with that are who they are not who they wish they were. Everyone I have met so far have been genuine Except the occasional perv.
