This topic has probably been done before, but I'm too lazy to check, and I really don't care.

I know most people don't put too much stock in superstitions, but do you ever find yourself inadvertently doing something you know is just silly?

When I was a kid, my grandmother always told me that after breaking eggshells for the pan (or whatever), you should always crush the remainder of them, because it's (supposedly) good luck. Stupid, I know, but for some reason, I still find myself to this day crushing the rest of the eggshell after I've cracked the egg, just out of habit.

Ummm, I get up to use the restroom after intercourse 'cus my doctor told me it would prevent UTI's if I had too much sex.

Does that count?

Um, I would have to say, "No, I don't really abide by superstitions." I know many that do though. For example, buddy will drive as far as possible out of his way to avoid black cats..even if it means he will be late for an important meeting.

The closest I come to superstitious behavior is avoiding something I've had a bad dream about...lol.

See, that's TOTALLY not me. I had a black cat for twenty years. She was the best friend I ever had.

The black cat thing and walking under a ladder is a no no for me. My grandmother was VERY much this way and made my oldest sister the same way. When I am with her she drives me insane. I do believe in karma though.

If a black cat crosses your path and your in a car and you don't hit the black cat, wouldn't you consider that lucky for the black cat? I do....

Well, my friend would literally stop the car and turn around right there (hwy., city, where ever) and go the opposite direction. I can't even imagine how he would respond if he hit a black cat...lol.

I suppose I do the whole, "Things happen in three" routine. Course, it took me about a half an hour of thinking about the superstitions to remember that I even do this...lol.

Anyone else adhere to the same belief? "Bad things happen in threes?"

women's/mother's intuition..thats a superstition
dreams....you learn to listen its not so superstitious....
its all about perception and belief...you think bad things will happen and they will....you think good things will happen and they will
remember the mind is a powerful thing, don't let it go to waste.....
