Not all the nerds as this thread calls technical people log on even on
a daily basis.

Song knows that as well as how to send any particular person on here a
private mail which would have gotten more immediate attention then a
public posting anyhow.

As far as reading the manual goes that should be done with anything a
person buys or owns that they don't understand in the first place. If
they have any questions or lack of understanding they can always ask
their salesman or the manufacturer for clarity as well.

Had I read this message prior I would have suggested that they email the
image from the phone to their email account as well. Those cables that
were mentioned cost about 30 dollars retail and require propriatary
software in most cases.

The views on this thread make me wonder how many people actually read
the documentation when they buy a computer, ipod, power tool, or for
that matter a new car.

I think not reading how to operate items you own leads to people owning
things they should not even be allowed to purchase in the first place.

Would you buy a gun if you did not know how to load it or operate it?

No offense ment here song I am just in a weird mood.

still wanted to send him best wishes on a speedy recovery and best of
luck on the car replacement or repair as well.

easiest way to do it is with an FTP client such as WS_FTP LE.
create a profile in the FTP client and connect to your webserver. then
transfer the files with the FTP client from you local drive to the space
on the server.

If you have a www folder on your webserver you will want to transfer
your files and folders keeping your directory structure the same as it
is on your local working site. Also you will want to be sure that the
www folder contains atleast one file named index all lower case. If it
is an index .htm .html .php .asp should not matter as long as it is an
index page. That way when a person goes to that folder on the web it
will find the index page and open it in the web browser. Also make sure
there is only one index file in any given folder you wish to behave
like that.

One of the sayings I heard a few years ago was that you never need to
explain yourself to anyone because your friends don't need it and your
enemys won't believe it anyhow.

I personally like that statement alot and it helps me out regularly.

I have seen alot of pretty ladies in my time and most times I am afraid
to pursue them as I do not have a high self esteem myself of my
appearance.

As I have been married previously I have decided that appearence matters
very little in a relationship. I believe communication and understanding
are far more important features in a person to look for.

Based on this I have found that I seek people who like the same things
as I do and think like I do to be a better match for me in general.

While I hope that the one I truely love will be attractive on the
outside if they are not that is ok as well as long as our love is
genuine for each other that is what counts. I would also like for that
person to have the same interests and kinks as I do but that is the
selfish part of me comming out.

That is how I determine the difference between a sex partner and a
loving relationship as well. The two are quite different.

Take it for what is is worth but that is how I see it.

THe version of TCP/IP should not matter and putting in a physical node
between the system and the router will not only not help but may make
it more confusing to troubleshoot.

Is your router set up to assign the IP addresses via DHCP? Do you only
have this issue when you connect wirelessly or do you also have the same
problem with a hardware connection to the router?

If it is only wireless then are you experiencing the same issue with any
other computers that are connected with a wireless connection or only
the one?

Sound like you may be having the problem only wireless at this point.
That can be as simple as enabling the wireless on your router or a
compatibuility issue between your wireless adapter either built into
your pc or with an adapter card. If it is built in you may want to try
the wireless connection with an adapter card you know is compatible with
your router.

It may sound strange but I have seen times when a D-link wireless router
would only connect to a d-link wireless adaper card.

Also you may be having this issue due to your router using a different
rendition of your tcp/ip then your network card is. You would expect
though that if that was the case it should be backwards compatible with
the older standard as well.

The system you described has less ram then is reccomended for the OS.

Recommended system requirements
1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

1 GB of system memory

40 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space

Support for DirectX 9 graphics with:

WDDM Driver

128 MB of graphics memory (minimum)

Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware

32 bits per pixel

DVD-ROM

Audio Output

Internet access (fees may apply)

Additional requirements to use certain features
TV tuner card required for TV functionality (compatible remote control
optional)

Windows Tablet and Touch Technology requires a Tablet PC or a touch
screen

Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption requires a USB Flash Drive and a
system with a TPM 1.2 chip

I would actually suggest going even higher then their reccomended
system as well personally but that is because I am a pretty hard core pc
person and would need a bigger system then they ask for just to play
some of the games I play. When it comes to certain things in computing I
just will not settle for minimum or reccomended minimums.

I learned to be like that because of Quake 4 not installing without 512
MB of free ram not shared with anything else including the OS.

If the guy from dell told me that on a phone I would just say fine as
long as he is willing to gaurantee that it will be under 100 dollars and
support resolutions of 1280 x 1024 on every chat client on the market.

I am a bit sarcastic as there is currently not a web camera on the
market that can do that I am aware of.

Yeah just pick one up at walmart and you will be fine you dont even have
to get a real expensive one if you look at the resolutions you will see
most are the same anyhow.

I have done alot of network troubleshooting in my past. It is always
easier to be at the terminal though when you are trying to resolve the
issue. Unfortunately I do not have access to Vista at this point.

Typically, the problems people have with connections to the web through
routers are firewall related. If you had no problems with connectivity
prior to using vista that would indicate to me it may be the firewall
program built into the OS. Disableing the firewall in your OS may leave
you open to attack if you do not have another firewall solution
protecting you.

There are also many software based firewall solutions which seem to be
included with many anti virus programs as well.

Your router probably has a firewall as well you should implement the
firewall in the router and disable the firewall in your OS.

I should be able to just download the css files and edit them in my
dreamweaver or other text editor and then upload them and get the same
results as well. I will have to work on it more it seems as when I do
that I run into other problems of the display not showing up correctly
or not functioning as it should.

I have been ignoring it for about a month now and I need to get back to
work on it or just remove it entirely. I really want to be able to have
the blog look and feel like like my website and not have to have my
website look and feel like the blog.

I do not really like the idea of having to look like a templated
website. The idea of a blog is to add content to my website not to add
my website to a blog.

I don't know how to explain it any other way to you how I feel. All I
can say is that I do not think that WordPress is going to be my final
resting spot in my blog software search. I may end up writing my own
blogging software at this point.

Not sure if you cought the fact that he said it was an mp3 pen. Belive
it or not USB is not Universally recognized by Windows overall. In fact
if he is on Windows 95 first edition or Windows NT there is no USB
support.

He may need to be using propriatary drivers or software to load it.

Best bet is to contact the manufacturer to get the needed drivers and
possibly software to load it up or just go out and get a more popular
mp3 player that is supported by whatever OS he has on his computer.
Another option would be to replace it with a thumb drive but then it can
only play the songs either on a pc or through an MP3 player that has a
USB input like some car stereos have.

For all I know he could be on Windows 3.1 or OS2 for that matter.

It says it does support widgets and the calendar itself is a widget as
well.

I would really like to be in control of the CSS, SQL and HTML or XHTML
without the addition of the CMS interface wordpress seems to push on me.
I relize that may not be possible without me actually writing my own
blogging software.

WordPress itself has made me not like blogging over the past month as
while it is a simple way for a person to put up a blog at the same time
it seems very constaining.

Open source to me means I can modify anything I want in any way I choose
to create or customize the application to suit my needs and desires. It
means it is freely distributed for people to do that and imporve
functioanlity of the product if they choose to.

I want to do just that I do not want to have a bunch of outgoing links
from my site to other sites. In fact I see that as a violation of the
rules of open source to require links.

I am very familiar with CSS, XHTML, HTML, JavaScript, MySQL and several
other technologies. Dealing with the CMS that WordPress seems to be has
me seriously looking at B2Evolution at this point. It seems to me to
have alot less fluff between me and the actual source code.

If you buy a computer and just run it till it gets too annoying to work
or dies completely like it sounds in this case. Typically it indicates
the computer is no longer capable of supporting todays software anyhow
so you might as well replace it.

I used to build computers for myself until recently when I found I could
purchase one already built cheaper then I could buy the parts to build
it myself on ebay.

My main computer here that I use was one I built from scratch and every
year or two I upgrade major portions of it like the motherboard and
processor and memory just to be able to use the software I use.

Most people use their computer to surf the web and get their email if
tha is all you are looking for then your needs are far less then those I
deal with on a daily basis.

Might want to look at your computer the same as you would a car. Owning
a car you have to put gas and oil as well as generally maintain it. If
you do not it will break down. Computers are far cheaper then cars on
both original investment as well as maintenance.

An internet year is only 2 months in real time based on the pace of
technology changes and improvements happening daily.

If your pc is 7 years old it is high time you replace it and bring
yourself into the new millenium as far as your computer goes.

Here is the styles.css file for it. What I would like to do at first is
have the pages show up the same in both IE 6-7 and Firefox at
resolutions of 1024x768 as well as 1280x1024 at a minimum, currently the
footer seems to be floating to the top in FF. I would also like this to
be done as a liquid design without the use of tables for postitioning as
CSS was designed to do that in the first place.

I would also like the calendar feature centered and to say it is a
calendar in the bar above it. I would also like the search features on
the other side of the page to say in their perspective title bars if
they are local site search or web searchs.

I would also like to be able to remove links to external websites that I
did not create or am not being paid to advertise by. such as the links
to wordpress itself and the author of the template I am using as well.

I need it to all pass XHTML strict validation as well as the CSS
validation as published by the W3C.

Anyhow here is the code you requested.
