maybe I should not mention it but home depot actually has DIY classes
where the employees give demonstrations throughout the store as well as
they also have their classes for the kids (might want to borrow a kid
one saturday) that will teach you how to do things like build a bird
house or a shelf and you get to bring it home for free too.

the conversations in the topics the community rooms are pretty steady
traffic. meet new friends and chat to them maybe you will find what you
are looking for.

Thanks mtironroses it took alot of owrk but if you read the silktide
thread you will see it is rated by them as #133 world wide. That means I
only have to beat out 132 more websites to be the best on the web. That
should really get the attention of the search engines in my opinion as
well as the big business world as I am just a single person developing a
website that is higher rated then most of the business and personal
sites on the web.

They might have to rethink their web design budgets.

There is a company called siltide that rates websites accross the world.
They publish their top 500 sites. Without any outside votes for my site
I am rated at 8 out of 10 and #133 in the world right now. I guess it is
something to brag about while I work on improving it to number 1 in the
future I hope.

It is a by invitation only free service but if you request it from their
website they will send you an invite within a week or so to try it on
your sites and see where you rank

It might be an issue on my end here as I am in the middel of switching
over between web hosting companies. I ttok a backup of the site about 6
am this moring but have not disabled the blog even up to this point as
it is very close to being operational on the new web host. I went to bed
after 7 am this morning and am back up and working on getting my skills
organized to complete the tasks at hand and transfer the dns settings.

I plan on having lakeareawebs.com, mysticwarriorsofrage.com,
mysticwarriorsofrage.net, mysticwarriorsofrage.org, honestyhouse.com and
a couple others running today or tomorrow at the latest.

I picked the Wordpress blog and setup was very easy only a few minutes
in fact. Custom configuration is where you may run into trouble.

Setting up the blog itself is a walk in the park but customizing it to
have the look you may want is where it gets a bit more difficult.

If you have a good understanding of CSS and PHP though it should be
pretty easy to custom configure. I need to practice more with PHP and
play with the interface to get the look I really want out of it but so
far I am very happy with it.

I just got a failure notice for the past 4 hours from the email I sent
you Verb it will continue to try for a few days. Can you verify to me in
private email the address you want the screen shot sent to?

If you are into web design and development are you happy with your
current web host? If you are can you post who they are and why you are
happy with them.

I ask this because I have been very happy with my current web host for
several years mainly due to the level of service I get from them.
However, for the past month that level of service and support has
decreased dramatically do to the owner of the web hosting service
having a stroke.

I have pretty much decided to switch hosting companies because I have
found a very highly rated one that offers far more for a fraction of the
current costs.

I am really curious to see if any of you are dealing with the one I
found and if so what your thoughts are on it. I have found nothing but
good words about the one I have found online by third party evaluations
as well.

The amount of services they provide for the money is incredible.

open multple browsers side by side after each is done loading then see
if you see a change in the actual surf time on a page.

There is not only a propriatary language that can be used for
programming firefox but vista has its own world of propriatary going on
that multimedia sid theey hae a language for it I cannot remember the
acronym right now but it only works in visa not xp.

I can tell you that my ff seems to load the program slower then IE but
once it is loaded the windows of websites load at a pretty normal rate.
It gets touchy in either browser though when you get about 15-20 tabs
open at one time then both browsers start to have fatal errors upon
closing.

You could always seal off the hole at the top so they cannot escape and
run a hose from your exhaust pipe of your car to the area directly below
the bay they are in. open the windows in the house to vent it incase.
Then start the car up for a few hours while you have a picnic outside.

Or just seal the entrance and exit permanently they will eventually die
of starvation.

Just so you know Verb links are rated by how closely the topics are
related. The most powerful incoming links to a website are the ones that
come from websites with the same keywords. The PR rating of the site
that links to you matters a great deal as well. Also recipricol links
where one links to you and you link to them in return have the least
value as they can actually cancel each other out. Here is some
interesting info I found on another forum recently though.

To help you achieve a certain pr:

You can get PR7
with
1 good PR9 link
or
4 PR8 links
or
19 PR7 Links
or
101 PR6 links

Funny thing about that idea of the visas. I have been considering moving
to Austrailia and you would be suprised how hard it is to get a visa to
move to a different country even with a highly technical background. If
you are not weathy it is almost impossible. You have to have the
government there sponsor you to get into the country.

Gates wants to get all his outsourced programmers US citizenship. That
is all. While Microsoft employees that participate in their stock
program are all wealthy. If you dig a little into it you will find it is
probably a company you would not want to work for in the future anyhow.

You are young you should be focusing on learning about what you already
have available to you. There are hundreds of different Open source
projects out here you could learn about and develop with. Knowing the
open source languages and technologies at your age will surely gaurantee
your success in life.

If I would have been more serious about my studies at your age then I
was I would probably be a millionaire by now. If not I would surely not
have to settle for a job at less then 150k a year. Instead, I got
intensive a few years ago and am still trying to learn more while at the
same time many jobs out there want skills I have yet to be comfortable
with. It is a never ending learning experience I refer to as life.

I don't think anyof you read or understood my posting on this one back
on page two before Buttons came to bat for the kid. He is just a kid.
While his actions may effect others around him in a negative fashion. It
does not mean that he is a loser at all. People choose to lead their
lives in different fashions but nobody has the implicet right to judge a
person other then God himself.

The reactions he got from posting here look to me like the JSH members
in general ganged up on him.

That is no better then being a member of a street gang in reality.

I think that many of the people in here should look into themselves to
make themselves better people before attacking others.

I also believe that many of the gangs out there have switched over from
selling drugs as a primary form of income to counterfiting money as the
punishments for that are far less then the mandatory for drugs.

The most dangerous criminals out there do not even carry guns the
practice their profession from a keyboard. Take a look at all the
identity theft going on and credit card frauds and you will see.

Anyhow, Bravo to buttons for taking up for the underdog here.

I am suprised this thread has not been removed already by Van or Mike
and people have not gotten warnings and services suspended on the forums
for their combative and nasty attitudes in the postings.

I have some really silly questions for you on this one. First off do you
have both programs opened and still see FF as being slower? Is it the
latest version of Firefox? Does it happen on every website you go to or
just a choice few?

The reason I ask this is being a developer I have seen times when it
was required for me to add code that was specific to IE and example of
this would be the conditional comments to make IE act like it should.
Firefox is supposed to ignore them completely.

Another thing to keep in mind Firefox is also supposedly more compliant
with CSS then IE is. I can tell you from experience that it is not any
more security built into Firefox then is built into any other browser.
Firefox however can be more picky with interpeting code that is
malformed though. Have you tried running the pages you are experiencing
the issues with through the W3C validation tools for HTML and CSS to
see if either browser could be getting hung up on errors.

Another consideration not many people are aware of the firefox browser
actually has a propiatary language you can work with that does not work
at all in other browsers. Mozilla's Cross Platform Component (XPCOM)
library for building applications with XUL. XUL is a language of its own
most have never heard of.
