I whant to get a web cam but I hered that if you buy your com from DELL
well you got to buy from DELL. is it tru?

and wich cam will be compatible???

Get Creative Instant Web Cam at Walmart.......$30 and it works like a
charm. Comes with a microphone and all. And you can take still photos of
yourself. That's what I have.

Petite Is quite right it is a good cam... I don't have a cam myself..

No, you do not have to buy your cam from Dell just because your computer
is from dell, as long as your computer meets the system requirements as
usually stated on the web cam box. You will be fine. That just sounds
like a gimmick from Dell to make you buy more of there products.

Most cams require Windows 98 or higher. So you should be fine no matter
what cam you decide to buy. I have a Logitec and it is a good little
cam, it has a built in mic and can also take still shots.

If the guy from dell told me that on a phone I would just say fine as
long as he is willing to gaurantee that it will be under 100 dollars and
support resolutions of 1280 x 1024 on every chat client on the market.

I am a bit sarcastic as there is currently not a web camera on the
market that can do that I am aware of.

Yeah just pick one up at walmart and you will be fine you dont even have
to get a real expensive one if you look at the resolutions you will see
most are the same anyhow.

Hotchikita I have a logitech and it's great it is a webcam takes still
pics and videos and it was under $30 at wally world

I have a Creative WebCam nx, I took this pic on it.

I was having problems with my MSN sayin internal error & closing on me
all the time, It said there was a conflict with Creative So I un
installed. in Dec. I had tried to reinstall when I hooked cam It said it
reconize hardware.I've tried to uninstall a few times it goes thru the
lil file transfer. then flashes back up there..

I love the book on it 76pgs 4 of them in ENGLISH!!!!

I don't know about now, before windows live when you installed your cam
to use on yahoo, you couldn't use on MSN & vise versa

Actually there is..I just bought a Ne 986 Pc Cam..It captures at 2304 X
1728 Px..It costs thirty dollars, (Canadian)
