I used to be heavy into FPS games but moved into guild wars a while back
now I have a website, ventrillo, started two guilds and we have even had
players go onto start a Vanguard clan for us.

It is reality. I live my life learning these days to one day possibly
make something of my life and have something my children will be proud
of me for doing.

It probably just would have been alot easier to deal with if it did not
weem like an organized thing with everyone moving over at one time.

I think I qualify as one ot the old timers here on the forum but I do
not post much these days. I may not have been around as long as some but
I think that once a person is on a site like this and attains a
reasonable amount of postings they are a bit more experienced then
others.

The site has taken on a different feel then it used to have for me. I
used to spend all my time day and night posting on this forum now I
doubt if I post even on a daily basis.

I have met alot of great people on here and am sure anyone can if they
give it time. It would not suprize me if the other site failed because
of what has happened and the people migrating here. This is a better
site then that anyhow.

Enough of my rambling. Welcome to all the new members and future new
members as well. Maybe I should setup an account with the other company
and psot a welcome to all its members as being future JSH members. I
guess that woud be askig for trouble huh?

Have a great day.

This question should be in the politics catagory. Personally, I don't
like either one of them. If they got on the same subway car as I was on
I would switch cars. Or possibly leave the train entirely.

I am also pretty hard core intel over mac but that is because of what I
learned and how I was raised. I used to do tech support we had support
for both mac and pc in separate depts. If a mac person called my number
and said I am having trouble with my mac I used to think maybe you
should have bought a personal computer instead of a mac.

As recent as last year I heard people from support telling people they
were sorry to hear a person had a mac not a pc.

Still Mac is a much better system then it was in the past not just since
OS10 but they are also using intel chips now as well so they are
starting to play with windows world a bit.

Mac is preferred in the graphic design world over pc as it does images
far better.

In reality Mac or PC is a user choice in most cases I personally will
probably end up getting a Mac setup in addition to my current network
if not for anything else but for testing websites in the safari browser.

You should get all your updates on a regular basis while the latest
version of acrobat reader is not required in most cases it is free so
why not get it just like the java from sun microsystems. As far as
Firefox goes it is a great browser but you might like it more then
Internet explorer and if that is the case you will have two browsers
installed on your computer. As long as you are not space starved on your
computer update and download all you have mentioned. I would also
suggest going to windowsupdate.microsoft.com as well and getting the
updates for that and also going ot your antivirus softwares website and
updating your virus definitions as well on a regular basis.

I use my musicmatch jukebox to do just what your talking about. I Buy a
cd at the store and put it in my pc when I get home then I "copy it to
my library" and all is good. I can take the cd out put it anywhere if I
want to listen to the music I can without the cd anytime on the pc. I
have my library set to store the music in the my music directory and it
sorts it out however I want as well Artist, song title, album title.

Anyhow I am sure ther is a free version of music match if you go witht
heir pay version though it will give you faster burn speeds and a few
other options as well.

Webmonkey has a few tutorials on it you might be interested in HTML and
XHTML are so closely related you will find that if you learn XHTML you
will knkow HTML and vise versa. Always Validate your code at the W3C
website though. Here is a link to webmonkey http://webmonkey.com/

At this point I would suggest that if you are just learning it you
should actually try to follow the guidelines for XHTML as they are more
strict. Html is relitively easy to learn though it is really a matter of
practice.

Might sound strangebut HTML/XHTML can be learned pretty much in a few
hour the rest is practice. If I was to reccomend a book to you for it it
would not be for learning but it would be for reference. Dynamic HTML
The definitive reference Third edition Published by oreilly

Resserts is correct css will be your next step For that I would suggest
CSS The Missing Manual published by pogue / oreilly

After that your headed straight towrd JavaScript and Dynamic pages

Wha hoo migrated 5 more domain names to the new hosting service today on
a separate account. Should be propigated tomorrow sometime.

I got three more to move in the next couple days as well onto yet
another account. I think that My old host is starting to feel the
pressure now a bit as this week will make like 14 domain names that I
have pulled from them. Odd are I will also be pulling yet another
account from them as well that I referred to them about a year ago as
well.

I think they are going to be very sorry they decided that my were not
important. When the owner of the old web host comes back to work he will
definately notice what has happened as he is losing several hundred
dollars a year from my family alone. I am going to get him to migrate
from his web hosting provider to my new one as well for a commission on
it if at all possible.

hehehe

The point is really that nothing is 100% secure. Anyone can be hacked no
matter what OS they use. The question is will they be caught prior to
gaining access or not.

I agree because Linux is not really mainstream at this point it is more
secure due to the fact that most people do not have a strong
understanding of C programming language which is what Linux is written
in.

Personally, I think most ladies look nice with shoulder length hair or
slightly longer. I think that shorter hair on a woman makes her look
older then she is.

That is just my thoughts on this though.
