Just not very realistic.

Especially since the median age of people getting married for the first time continues a rapid increase, and the number of people ever marrying continues to decrease.

More and more it's like asking "is it really impossible for drivers and the city to accommodate my riding a horse as my main means of travel?"

It's not impossible, it's mostly just an anachronism that serves no real purpose, and doesn't really have any support from society, down to basic infrastructure, that has moved on to a different way of doing things

Every guy I talk to seems to find a deal breaker when I tell them I don't want to get intimate until after marriage... Is it really impossible to ask that much these days...?

It definitely has nothing to do with gender.
From what I've seen, men in general are more reluctant, often barely able, to cope with being alone than women.

I think it mostly depends on someone's personal growth and development.
Like Sitka said, it has to do with fear. And fear can be overcome when you grow as an individual and become more empowered, confident etc.

Also, I did decide to split up at the age of 45. Age to me has nothing much to do with it, my personal happiness does.

After almost 10 yrs ......he decides he wants to be single bc he never got to enjoy being single in his younger days!!! So I'm over men officially women are sexier anyways

I was on this dating site six months ago. There are several women that were on the site six months ago. They are listed as available and on the site now. Are these women playing games? Are their standards to high? Or have we ,as a society,fail to understand that real love is comes from the heart ? What I am noticing is.. that in getting to know someone, their mannerisms and habits are either attractive and/or endearing to you, or they aren't ..it could be in the intonation of how they speak; a flip of the hand; a giggle; the way in which something is done..;
I'm just commenting ..as it is just a step on the way to knowing someone and being comfortable with their ways.. and vice/versa of course.
