Seriously, if you believe an armed take over of the federal government is what people should do...well let's just say I don't think you've thought this through. Take a look at how well it's worked out elsewhere. No, no, no, violence is archaiac and usless. You have a right to recall an elected official. See the Secretary of State in your state for the legal requirements for a recall petition effort and go from there. Its not "allowed" on the Federal level though |

well, really, I just made that up he made the speech during the "March on Washington" although there are some that say that the key lines of the speech were taken from a speech at the 1952 at the Republican National Convention by Reverend Archibald Carey, Jr., a personal friend of King's. Ah, i guess it wasnt a formal fundraiser hehe, there was alot of money raised on both sides of the eisle, and during the John Lewis speech the bolstered there case for censorship! what a crock! That fact is pretty well know, that Judge Carey had even helped right part of that speech i think. |

Sometimes it takes a Forest Fire to regenerate the the Forest. The Ideas that are coming out of Detriot are Old and outdated, even with these loans there still companies are still going to fail because they are behind the times. I would rather see them fail without my money than with it I would totally agree with you Brandon, if hard working workers were not part of this. They didn't start this mess, they did their job. What about those with pensions, who now rely on them after working for years to help these companies become rich? What about all the companies that are associated with the car companies and depend them them, and those people that labor in those companies? It's like a hand full of Republicans, that by the way have a vested interest in foreign companies in their states, can focus only one what will benefit their associations with the company's and don't give a flip about the worker. The car companies in question did not keep faith with American people, I completely agree, but we shouldn't punish the worker for the dumb butt mistakes of the higher ups. Here in TN, the workers in plants up here get zip, nada, nothing from the companies they work for. They work their butts off and no one represents them. I think the people deserve more. And the republicans that care more about getting God all of a sudden after the past 8 years, could care less about the worker than themselves. Something sick about that, to me anyway. I don't know what will happen but if this doesn't get done I think those senators that are trying to stop this, will pay for their lack of insight later. Or maybe not... sigh! At first I was so mad that I wanted to see the car companies go down, but I was not considering the innocent workers that didn't ask for any of this, and have already given up a lot. They shouldn't have to loose their jobs and their pensions. Thats part of capitalism though, its horribly sad but its a fact of life. Its happened before in history, talk about just another Inconvient Truth |
