I don't even know where to begin with this lol
1: I'm not really looking, I only joined this sight cuz I like to debate in the forums lol 2: I way to picky 3: I love being single, I don't have to answer to anyone 4: I love video games 5: I hate when I hear "you love (insert saying) more than you love me" 6: "We don't spend any time together" That's a good start, i'm sure if I tried i could think of several other things that keep me from trying lol |

Oh dear, please, you make me sound as if I were a Kid-Nazi (as opposed to Scienfeld's Soup-Nazi, if you watched that TV sit-com), i.e. by no means do I suggest producing kids under any circustances! Certainly, in many cases that would be a bad idea -- like getting divorced, for instance! Certainly, I understand your opposition to having kids in your situation. But all of your arguments are based only upon probabilities, i.e. "there are no Guarantees for this or that..." However, what strikes me mostly is Your always emphacizing the Negative: No guarantee for this or that; Emphasis on the word "demanding", rather than "Privilage"; kids turning out bad or degenerate... I think your current circumstaces do affect your psyche -- you don't see the light at the end of the tunnel... But in time, I'm sure, when pain and hurt will subcide, you'd be able to smile again and, who knows, fall in love again... ____________________________________________________________________ Foliel: Before I say another word to you, I demand you indicate How am I trying to play a guilt trip on the guy (cuz he doesn't want kids). If he didn't value my opinion, he'd never reply to my post - after which a discussion ensued.. Frankly, he doesn't need your defense against me... (nor I require your advise how should I conduct myself on a social network, thank you!) As for your personal circumstances: Personally I go either way on kids, I'd like a child of my own but that's not likely to happen. -- I AM SORRY!
You're first statement could be taken as playing a guilt trip. "You could be depriving the world of another einstein" second statement, "who'll be visiting you when your 84 in a nursing home" If i misunderstood, I apologize but that's how I took it. As for me not having kids, well that's just how life worked itself out for me, i'm not sad about it, just would have liked to have kids. |

Jane:
Have you stopped to think how hard it would be for a child to grow up knowing daddy or mommy didn't actually want them. No child should be subjected to that. Sam is being honest and upfront about not wanting children and that is a good thing. You shouldn't try to play a guilt trip on the guy cuz he doesn't want kids, that is his right. If you don't agree with his decision to not have children, don't read his topic :) Personally I go either way on kids, I'd like a child of my own but that's not likely to happen. Sam: Good for you being honest and open with your decision, don't let anyone give you flack for it. |

I hate liars they drive me bonkers, although sometimes I get in trouble for being too honest lol. I've actually lost a couple of friends for being too honest.

I am gay and I can't figure out for the life of me how guys get turned on by women. Sorry ladies you just don't do it for me. Before coming out, I tried to date women, mostly to hide my attraction to men (I am not proud of that).
I like my men rugged and attractive (not gorgeous but attractive and my idea of attractive is probly different from someone elses). Effeminate men do nothing for me, if I wanted a girl i'd date one lol. |

I agree with christian, we shouldn't HAVE to have health insurance if we don't want it. People should have health insurance but that is up to the people. The government is starting to butt their noses into peoples lives way too much.

I suffer from chronic depression and social anxiety disorder, so making friends was not always easy for me. I know how you feel, I spend most of my time in my apartment cuz I'm too afraid of people to go out alot. I do force myself to go out as i do not want to seem agoraphobic.
The only advice I can offer is to be yourself and try to go out to some local events and see what happens. ![]() P.S. you can always post on here, someone will respond ![]() |

Whether or not he didnt care when he smoked is a moot point. He rented a smoke-free apartment, this means no smoking in the building, if the neigherbor upstairs is smoking inside then he is breaking the rules. The smoker should it outside or he should be the on that has to move not the person that rented a smoke free apartment.

I view the bible as I do all books on mythology that I have read. A collection of stories to be read, enjoyed (if you enjoy those stories that is), and then let the moral of the story apply. That is all. I don't live my life according to the bible, nor do I live my life according to the other books of mythology I have read.
Without having actually been there, we can't know what happened in that time. So I will leave it up to religious people to believe in the bible, santa clause and whatever else they have faith in. (not being mean, just being honest) |

I have found meditation to work for me. The pills they kept giving me just kept making me sick so I stopped taking them. I have been battling chronic depression for 20 years and I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I doubt I will ever be truly cured but it would be nice to have my life back.

I don't understand why we have to prove or disprove anything, everyone has the right to believe or disbelieve as they see fit. Half the problems in the worl might end if people stop trying to prove or disprove religion and worry more about what is really happening in the world at this moment.

What I find interesting is that, should Jesus or God actually come....religious people will call them liars. They won't believe that it really is their lord and savior much like they didn't the first time the bible tells of Jesus.
I have a feeling that if Jesus or God shows up, it will throw religion into a state of panic. |
